The Connection between Education and Wealth

Various studies proof that a good education is key to a successful and wealthy life. Therefore every parent aims to give the best education to their child.

Since Day One students belonging to Middle Class family are taught by their parents to work hard, achieve higher grades and quality education so they can live a wealthy and comfortable life.

Acquiring Best Education is like winning a Marathon Race:

Each Year millions of students enrol themselves into Universities, it is like a race, a competition of getting enrolled into the best University of the country. After graduating from college they start preparing for enrolment exams. They study hard to pass the enrolment tests. It is a firm belief that if a child is able to get admission into a countries best University his life will become much easier and he will get the best job. So he works hard and does all efforts with the hope of becoming rich and providing his family a luxurious life.

Education is like a Long Term Investment:

For most of the parents belonging to middle class families education is like a long term investment. The parents work hard, save money by reducing their daily expenses and pay large amount of education fees each year so their child can get into the best institution, get professional degrees and later get a highly paid job. It is a simple concept that the more the parents invest in child’s education more he will earn and make them live in comfort in their old age. Many studies reveal that beside spending money on education institution the hard working parents they also spend large amount of money on their child’s after school tuitions fees.

The Professional Degree is of higher value:

It has been seen that those students who acquire a professional education are wealthier than those acquiring a graduate degree. So the parents focus on making their child a Doctor, Engineer or an Accountant. The students who have earned a professional degree have a higher reputation in society and they will earn better than those who acquired a Bachelor Degree and dropped off. The professional education makes a student more refined and he improves his status of living and become wealthier. According to a study it was found that those students who acquired a professional degree were fifty times more likely to become rich millionaire than those acquiring just high school education. Thus a middle class family with a person who have professional degree have 95 % higher wealth than those having just diploma or high school education. It has been seen that the struggle to become wealthy does not ends on acquiring a professional degree but the endeavours continues. For example in the field of medical sciences a specialist doctor will earn twice as the amount earned by a GP. This the struggle continues and medical students keep on acquiring higher education so they can become prosperous and live a wealthy life. Same goes for those acquiring a four year Engineering degree will earn less than those who have acquired a Master in Business administration. Many students now focus on becoming a CA or MBA as these fields give a higher opportunity to get richer in a short span of time. Both these professionals are highly demanding and those students who acquired this degree will get a highly paid job and will live a wealthier life.

Government Invest on Education:

Several research proofs that those countries who have well educated children will have a brighter future and will have high socio economic development. Educated children means a country will have less poverty, less crimes and will have good health system. Because each child will be provided with quality education which will train them to fight through the rough times, educate them regarding hygiene and health system and encourage them to acquire higher education so they can contribute to the prosperity of the country. Therefore it is seen that many growing countries are keeping a large budget for education. Most of the countries like America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand provide free education up to the age of 18 years. Even after 18 years the students those students who cannot pay for University fee are given various opportunities and government support so they can also get quality education, become wealthy and contribute to the socio economic development of the country. It has been observed that the countries who have invested a higher budget on education will have a lower level of unemployment rate.

To live a wealthy life Education should be taken seriously at all stages and all the opportunities should be availed in the best possible manner.
