Maddie Ruins the Friendzone

Another great day of San Francisco, sun shining, birds doing a beautiful musical number, clouds out of sight. Emily and James found it a perfect day to take a walk, left unaware Maddie is watching the two friends.

“Isn’t it a beautiful day James?” Emily asked, she took the pencil that she keeps in her ponytail and tried to draw a robin. Meanwhile James studies how pretty the birds around him are, next to Emily.

“Perfect!” Maddie muttered “They have no idea what I’m about to do to those geeks” Maddie took out her camera, she snapped a photo of Emily and James sitting next to each other. Maddie dashed away before they turned around.

“Did you hear something?” James asked as he turned around. Emily turned around too “I don’t see anything” She said shrugging. James turned around unsure “OK...” he murmured. James swore he heard something.

James and Emily got up “So” Emily casually said “Wanna do something?” James looked at the sky “I don’t know” James said “Wanna meet me in my apartment?” Emily nodded “Yeah sure!” Emily agreed.

So James and Emily went in opposite directions, Emily went into room. She once again looked out the window, thanks to Emily’s parent’s stupid obsession with living in each fifty states, she might have to move away anytime.

Emily ran to James’s apartment. She went running down the stairs to first floor. She knocked on the door, James’s mother Mrs. Lee answered, “Hello” Mrs. Lee said “I’m guessing your looking for James?”

Emily nodded

“Ok miss” Mrs. Lee said “He’s in his room” Emily ran to Jame’s room, she knocked to be on the safe side. James opened his door and waved “Hi Em” Emily blushed a little, for some reason she likes when he calls her Em. “Come on in” he said.

Emily sat on James’s bed next to James. Emily looked at his room a little more than usual. Then Emily felt her hand got warm, she looked down, James was HOLDING HER HAND.

James looked at Emily’s hand, he quickly released his hand from hers. “I’m sorry!” James blurted looking at the floor “I went too far...” Emily would usually yell at the boy who did that to her, but with James, it just felt natural.

Like it was meant to be. But why did it feel natural? Is it possible that Emily might... like him?

Little does wondering Emily know, the picture of her and James is seen by a lot of students from Booker Middle School.

Before we begin

The characters in this book are not made by me. This is a fanfic for James and Emily from: Book Scavenger.

The author of Book Scavnger is: Jennifer Bertman. This book is supposed to be a sequel to all of the book scavenger books she made. So, shout out to Jennifer Bertman for the awesome series she made.

Just for a little thing, if this book gets 10 likes, I’ll do crossovers! 😏

Trying to take down the post

Once the school bell rang, Emily and James ran from the school that thought we’re dating. “This is an outrage!” Emily declared “I think we should try and take the post down!” “Yeah!” James said “And we’ll set up a new one”

Emily looked at James evil face “Oh no” Emily said “We are NOT setting up Maddie with someone and posting them together” James evil face turned into a very disappointed face “But whyyyyy?” James whined.

Emily pointed at her and James “Look how miserable we are!” She exclaimed “Even though Maddie really deserves it, we should not do what she did to us!” Emily put her hand on her hip “Haven’t you heard the golden rule?”

James sighed “Treat others the way you wanna be treated” he said glum. Emily giggled, she likes teaching people stuff for unknown reasons. “So” James said “Wanna meet me in my apartment?” Emily nodded “Yeah, and we could take down that post together!”

Emily followed James to his apartment, then into his room. James logged onto one of his computers  and went to Facebook. He saw the post of him and Emily, but he didn’t see a thing that lets you take it down. James was new to FaceBook, so he isn’t all that good at the controls.

Emily looked too “I don’t have FaceBook” she said “So I don’t really know” James banged his head on the wall 8 times straight. “I don’t get it!” James said as he flopped on his bed “I doesn’t make any sense!” James rolled over and groaned.

“Maddie is the worst human being on earth” James mumbled “She’s just crossed the line” Emily nodded “She’s gonna pay!” Emily agreed “But not with FaceBook!” James let his hopes get up “Awwwww” James whined “But why?”

Emily crossed her arms “If we do that, everyone will hate us for hating her!” She declared “Well there’s that” James mumbled. James rolled over again, “Emily” James said. Emily turned around “Yeah?” She asked. James waited 7 seconds to ask her.

“Wanna get some pizza?” James asked. Emily nodded “Sure, I’m hungry anyways” she said.
