Hey December

Hey December
Hey December,
You are important to remember.
As when I was younger,
You seemed to be a lot cooler.
The snow used to come earlier, and
Christmas used to be more fun and happier.
Now I have grown older,
Your smile is a bit warmer,
The holidays have become shorter, and
I have other things to look after.
But whenever I look at the calendar,
I will always remember,
You are the last month of the year, and
Christmas is the last thing I hear.

Lakes
Lakes are the mirrors of nature,
Accumulate the water from the rain, and
Reflect the beauty of life.
I love to walk along the lakes, and
I attempt to follow the path.
Every footstep I made
Was a brief and fleeting shadow
Pressed against the face of an ageing Earth,
It vanishes like the blemishes of man,
Soon to be obscured by crisp Autumn leaves.
I always feel thankful for the men,
Who walked their way to here,
For the first time,
To explore, to see,
To touch, and to remember
Among the greatness of nature,
We are so tiny and small.
Brother
You were born
When I was four.
Since then,
I never get bored.
You are my special friend and
My forever best friend.
I cannot see my life without you
Because there is no one else
I would want to grow up with, and
There is no one else
I would ever trust more than you.
Dedicated to my brother, Alex.
