Dark Secrets

He was Jett Jones

Sitting in the bar, I was awaiting my next client. He was over half an hour passed the meeting time that we had arranged. If he takes any longer,' I thought quietly to myself, 'I am leaving, no matter how much he's paying me.' I crossed my arms, in annoyance.

I had become impatient, and was in the verge of walking out and cancelling our 'business meeting' until I saw a handsome middle-aged man walk into the bar and look in my direction, studying me from top to bottom. I wore a black bustier and leather miniskirt which matched perfectly with the knee-high heeled boots that I had on. I styled my dirty blonde curls to make them hang around my face and fall down my back. 'Could this be him?' I wandered.

The man walked over and took the seat by the bar beside me. He wore a grey business suit with a light blue tie. His hair slicked black and his eyes a very light shade of brown. He was handsome yes, and looked like the usual client.

He fiddled with a stitch on the hem of his shirt sleeve.  Finally, after a minute or so had passed, he gathered up the courage to speak.

"Ahem. Are you Savannah?" He asked. Of course, when we spoke on the phone to arrange the meeting, I gave a fake name to protect my identity from those who became too attached. I do this every time I meet with someone. I straightened up and put on a flirtatious look to say that 'I mean business'.

"That's me. Are you the handsome Mr Joshua Andrews?" The man awkwardly responded with

"Yes. Yes i am." He said as-a-matter-of-factly. Now that I knew that this man was in fact, my client, it was time to turn on the charm. So I moved in closer to him, standing close enough to make the man nervous, and caressed his arm.

"So Mr Andrews, what would you like to do on this fine night?"

Mr.Andrews chuckled softly.

"Well, actually. I may be the client, but I am not the target." he said, "I want you to accompany me to a club. I'm supposed to do make a deal with a very important company, and the owner of this company just so happens to have a son. He's 26, so he seems around your age. Most probably older."

I thought for a second. This seemed a little different to the type of thing I was usually hired for. Mostly I was just there to help impress co-workers, bosses, family and sometimes just to be taken out, spoilt for the night and then taken back to their apartments or hotel rooms to do what was necessary just because the men were filthy rich and wanted a beautiful girl on their arm for the night. Never was I ever hired by someone to seduce an entirely different person.  Needless to say, it confused the shit out of me.

"So what exactly do you want me to do?" I said, questioning him.

"Well miss Savannah, you see, I need you to seduce the owners son, who just so happens to be taking over the company in a couple weeks. His name is Jett Jones. You are to gain his trust, seduce him and then to find out his secrets. We will use that information to blackmail him into making this deal." He explained.

"And what if he doesn't have any secrets?" I asked, "What if it's all for nothing?"

"Understand one thing miss Savannah, everyone has secrets. I'm willing to bet that you have a few secrets of your own. And someone like Jett Jones is bound to have a lot of of them up his sleeve." He crossed his arms as he said this. Making his case.

I looked down at the floor. Secrets. Yes I had them. I had tried to keep my past hidden from the world. It was the reason I had chosen to become an escort in the first place. Because I was so good at being someone that I wasn't and using my body to get things from other people.  As a teenager I was forced to train. Become a killer. Become like my parents and my siblings.

Everyone around me was consumed in a life of danger and death, and they made me one of the most dangerous assassins ever. I hated it. I hated the idea of being a murderer. So I left. Leaving my family and the people I worked for behind. And never looked back.

I guess Mr Andrews saw that my mind was going in circles, because I went quiet for a minute.

"Don't worry about payments. My company will offer you $500,000 for the two weeks that you will be working for us.

I was contemplating the offer. Yes, it was very generous. But I couldn't help but think how wrong it would be to lead a man on for two whole weeks, just for a pay day.

"That does seem like a good deal... but."

"But what?" He glared at me with his piercing eyes. "Savannah, I came to you because I've heard you are the best in this... field, you could call it. Emotionless and unattached. I would have hoped that you live up to your expectations, because they are in fact, high." Andrews explained.

"Well yes. I am the best." I knew there was something so wrong with what I was about to do, but it dawned on me the fact that I had done worse in the past. So what the hell if I break someone's heart? Mine has been shattered for the last few years anyways.

"Well," I said, "I think we have ourselves a deal Mr Andrews." The job seemed easy enough and it was only two weeks. Plus the money would come in handy and set me up for a very long time.

"Fantastic. The next thing we have to do is go to the club and meet your new suitor. I will give you a run down of him in the car."

So the two of us left the bar together, and headed for Club XXX. In the car, Mr Andrews gave all the information he knew on Jett Jones to me. He was 26, a billionaire thanks to his hardworking father, he was mysterious and shady but most of all, he said to me that Jett Jones has never been in  love. Which made the task even more harder than I originally thought.

Outside the club, a wave of people flooded by every five seconds. With a guilty expression washed over my face, Andrews and I headed straight to the front of the line. The bouncer took one look at me from top to bottom, looking pleased and unclipped the red velvet rope to let us in. The two of us strode inside, with Andrews' hand lingering on my lower back, making me a tad uncomfortable.

The club scene was hectic. Half-naked girls were everywhere along with boys trying to hook up with those girls. Everyone was sweating. It was hot... steaming actually. The flashing coloured lights and the smoky atmosphere just set the tone. It was the hottest club in town. I needed a minute to catch my breath, it was that overwhelming.

I didn't know who we were looking for. I had no idea what Jett Jones looked like. I glance over at Andrews and I see him scanning the place, searching for the elusive Mr Jones. He took a deep breath in and pointed.

"There." He said sternly. "That is Jett Jones."

My eyes dart to where he's pointing. There stood a man, talking with a very tall and gorgeous, dark haired girl.

Oh.

My.

God.

This man is beautiful. Stunning, actually. With his short black hair and extremely blue, almost white, piercing eyes. He had on a sleeveless shirt and white, denim jeans. He was perfect.

He was Jett Jones.
