Although it's known for racism to have been abolished by the 13th amendment on February 1st,1865 by President Abraham Lincoln I strongly believe it hasn't , simply because in present day July of 2017 it still exists. Although it's not known for anyone to own slaves racism is still present. By me being a young 15 year old African American girl ,I've witnessed and been exposed to all types of racism relationship wise, friendship wise , etc. I've witnessed it relationship wise because I date Caucasian guys. I've witnessed it friendship wise because to some African American I just don't "fit in with their crowd " because "I act white " ,so therefore I have more white friends than I have black friends. But in reality I don't act white I'm just a more educated African American than they are, I'm just a more proper African American than they are , and thats cause I choose to be not because I want to be or because I'm forced to be.

The word "Racism" has been defined in many different ways , I've heard and seen all of them. Me , myself , I'm not a really big fan of racism. I have friends,Caucasian friends,who's parents are racist.I would say somewhat racist but to me you're either racist or not , but back to the subject at hand. I have friends who parents will let them be friends with African Americans , but God forbid if their child were to date an African American that's a whole different story. I've been in 3 relationships with Caucasians and their parents were racist. 2 of those 3 relationships ended because of their parents didn't really like their child being with me , not because I'm smart or dumb , not because I'm trashy or clean , not because I have two to three siblings , not because my hair is long or short , not because I'm tall or short , not because i have brown or blues eyes but simply because of my skin color. I've sat at a lunch table with a kids who's ancestors are apart of the KKK Lynch mob , and what are the odds of this guy not being racist ? He came off not racist , loved being friends with black people , but if the conversation of his younger sister being with a black guy was brought up , you would've thought a crime had been committed. Yeah he was questioned about the kinds of black guys that were allowed to date his sister but all of them were bad from his & his family point of view. Let him tell it if his sister got with a black guy and he said " I will cut his private parts off and feed them to my dog , I might even shoot him and kill him dead instead ". In his eyes his sister was not in the wrong it was the black guy who was. To me us African Americans should really have a problem with their kids dating whites because I can assure you that every black person has had an ancestor who was a slave , I know for a fact I do .

I feel as if ALL blacks , boys and girls , are categorized into two to three groups. To the whites blacks are either intelligent or illiterate. But what about the ones that fall in between those two groups ? Here's how I personally think whites see us black girls :

1. The ones that act white , which would be me , but in reality were just proper.

2. The ones that are "ghetto" , "ratchet" , in other words have no home training.

3. Just Flat out stupid. 

Here's how whites see black guys :

1. The ones that are intelligent and could fit in the whites ONLY because they are smart and they dress "white".

2.The ones that gang bang because that's all they know and they don't give a crap about their lives.

3. The ones that have the potential to be smart but dont put forth enough effort.

Why do I think that you ask ? , well because I've experienced it before I've talked to racist white people about us blacks and why their parents dont like us being with their kids or why their parents dont like us period .Now you do have some white people who aren't racist I've had coaches , basketball and softball, who aren't racist. I've been told before "oh you know why you play outfield in softball right , it's because your black " or they say " it's because your fast it's not that you can really play". In reality it's because im a good player I've played on a team were their were more blacks in the infield than they were in the outfield and it's because the coaches weren't racist. yeah it's true you don't see that many blacks playing softball. I've played basketball against a racist team before , you've might have heard of the team , Baxterville High School, rumor has it that they hang blacks in Baxterville. They have carved monkeys hanging in trees in Baxterville. Why monkeys you ask, because that's what rasicts whites use to represent black people , just as they call police pigs.
