Ice and Spring

A lonely world of ice and spring.

Inside I could be anything.

The branches reached tall and the birds sang loud.

My dreams came in shapes of clouds.

I was unstoppable.

I was invincible.

My only friends were the ones that were fictional.

A life of freedom in a land of green.

But the doors slammed shut and my mind wiped clean.

They took me away.

Thought I knew it wouldn't last.

My heart rebels but the past is the past.

Climbing so high in branches so thick.

What I saw was not there so they called me sick.

They locked my up and threw away the key.

I saw the world though tears as salty as the sea.

A lonely world of ice and spring.

Before they took me I had everything.

The Last Night of the World

The lights go out and the winds turn cold.

The blue seas rise and the secrets have been told.

Its the last night of the world.

The birds have stopped singing and the mountains have crumbled.

The ground shakes and shivers and I stagger and stumble.

Its the last night of the world.

The last act is in play and the curtains will close.

Hands hold on tight to thing they love most.

Its the last night of the world.

The stars have fallen and the sun will not rise.

The music has stopped playing but there is hope in your eyes.

Its the last night of the world.

The Masks I Wear

The masks I wear.

The things I've seen.

I've thought terrible things and yet I won't come clean.

The darkness fueled my horror.

My feeling swept away.

The demons played with my heart and are with me everyday.

I just want the world.

Is that too much to ask?

They say once you go down that road

you can never turn back.
