Alex couldn't believe when their eyes met. It was as if he had found her again after losing her for eternity. Who was she? He was sure he had seen her before. No. Rather, he was sure he had been with her before and he was meant to find her again. The look was profound, soul searching. He knew she felt the same way. The beautiful foreign woman sat by the pool sunbathing, her eyes searching for him. Once found, not forgotten. He had to find a way to approach her and introduce himself. But he didn't speak her language. There had to be a way for him to get closer to her, after all, he was the hotel pool's lifesaver. But that was another problem. He was not supposed to mingle with hotel guests.

He walked around the pool, thinking of a way to get closer to the one whose eyes hypnotized him. Her magnetic presence was distracting him from his duties. A little boy splashed water carelessly around the pool and other guests were visibly annoyed by the drops being showered on them.

"Please, please... can you please move over to that side?" Alex asked gently, tiptoeing around the child's mother who was oblivious to her son's behavior. The boy ignored him and splashed more water, this time getting his shorts wet. Alex looked embarrassed. His eyes met the beautiful woman's, who was observing him since he had noticed her.  Other guests turned around to stare angrily at the excited child.

To his surprise, she got up and walked over to where he was. Stopping next to him, she turned to the boy, saying something in a most lyrical voice. It sounded like the song of the Siren. Intoxicating. Fatal. To die for. The boy immediately obeyed her,  moving to the shallow part of the pool where he wouldn't be able to disturb anyone.

Alex stared at her in astonishment. He wanted to say something but his voice escaped him. She smiled and extended her hand to him. The most beautiful sound came from her mouth. "Isabeau," she said. Alex touched her hand and moved it to his lips, kissing it lightly. The chemistry between them was undeniable. Isabeau blushed, and turning his palm up, she wrote a number in his skin with her index finger. Alex understood. He smiled back at her and nodded before Isabeau walked back to her lounge chair.

That evening, after he left work, Alex went home, showered and went back to the hotel, bringing with him a single red rose. As he knocked at the door of room 222, his heart skipped a beat. Isabeau was waiting for him. There was no need for words as they kissed and made love. Ah, the beauty of love! The soul mates met again and knew they were meant to be together. The language of love had no need for words.
