It was meant to be forever,
but she found him In the arms
of another,
she was all sultry looks,
and "come hither" eyes.

She could not compete,
with her beauty,
the way her face was all
painted like a movie star.

She never wore make up,
or even dressed up,
she only wore baggy sweaters,
and comfortable sweats.

She knew she lost him,
on that fateful night,
he didn't come home.

She knew what she had to do,

she decided to take matters In

she sat down on her favourite,
rocking chair.

Drank two fingers of whiskey,
took out her father's shotgun,
and said "Goodnight  Vienna".

Her life ended that night,
she always lived half a life,
always yearning, burning for more,
she couldn't live without the only man,
she ever really loved.

So people take heed,
don't fall in love,
and If for some reason you do,
don't be like this silly girl,
and kill yourself over It,
just let him go,
and live your life,
I mean really live it.
