A Drop Of Blood

Chapter 1

"If I had known about this curse I have I would've gone to the source a long time ago, however, now my daughter has to go to the source of the curse before she turns into a puddle of blood. Not everything is about puppies and rainbows, sometimes it's about surviving or dying, although if you ask me they both go hand in hand with each other."

Memory:

Dear diary,

This town has shaped me but it's shaped more then I thought it did, I used to be a young girl who loved killing vampires but now I'm the one hiding from the vampire hunters. I wish I would've known about this town and my curse before I had done anything first, now I'm destined to die or walking around cursing others like me. I didn't think my tears would come out as blood and I didn't think my hands would turn into blood under water, I turned into a demon.... and I got turned without knowing how. I have theories but I have no way of proving it, everyone thinks that I'm a gross pregnant lady or I'm trying to scare children and get arrested. So I've had to hide for awhile, it's funny really...I used to be the hunter now I'm the hunted, now I have to figure out how to survive with a baby in my belly. Hopefully this child survives, it deserves happiness beyond imagination.

"I should have never put pictures, or my work in that diary. That was a mistake on my part, and now my daughter has to pay the price. She doesn't know everything about our family but if she did, she would be a whole lot safer right now. There is no one else to blame but me, quite sad really because I always blame myself for something that might not be my fault but if I hadn't come back, my daughter Cecilia would be a whole lot safer."

Memory:

Dear diary,

I walked around town to clear my head but then I was stopped by witches, They said they could help me and tell me what gender my baby is but it comes with a price. When I asked what the price was they looked at each other and then at least me as if they were debating if they should say or not, but eventually they told me that in due time I'll have to face my greatest fear. I agreed to their terms even though I had no idea what they were talking about, but after they told me I was having a girl I began to think about what it was.

"I know we're camping out for the night but do you always have to be depressing about everything? Are you even telling us the whole truth or are you talking and just remembering things?" Johnathon said.

"Oh shut up John, let her finish. After all we did leave to help her out and she's done nothing but help us survive, you could at least be grateful she's letting us rest and telling us this stuff." Kenya said.

Johnathon had always been naive and stupid, he just never realized it. However, he has something I respect very much. He doesn't run when it's time to fight, he never backs down, he's a very respectable man. He even has fan girls, it's always hilarious watching him run away but I don't know what they see in him. I asked once, and they told me that they love everything about him. They were sold on his looks but not his personality, they love his black hair and sea blue eyes, and his muscles. It's funny because he doesn't run from anything but fan girls, it's quiet hilarious you know.

Kenya on the other hand is fierce, she knows everything about this land and not to mention she knows how to use a bow. She has ash colored hair, green eyes, and freckles. She's very sassy but kind, she's very resourceful to.

Cecilia on the other hand is known as the most radiant vampire we have, she’s only eighteen and people already want to marry her. She has black hair, and blue eyes, quite funny really she’s the spitting image of her father.

Then there’s me, I have black hair and red eyes. I’m the strongest vampire there is, but losing my daughter made me go mad. I have to find Cecilia, I just have to. I’m nothing without my baby girl, my mother once told me that it took her years to actually find all of her family, I just hoped that it wouldn’t be too late when I find my daughter.

“It’s alright Kenya, besides you two should get some sleep, it’s getting dark out.”

“What about you?” Kenya asked.

“I’ll be fine, besides I don’t need to sleep, I only slept to escape my problems, and if I hadn’t slept that night we wouldn’t be in this mess.”

“This might be a long shot, but is there a chance that the villagers scattered across the globe, might know Cecilia’s whereabouts?” Johnathon asked.

I never gave it that much thought before, if he thinks the villagers knew something is it possible they might be lying to me?

“It’s definitely possible, but don’t worry to much about it Johnathon, go to sleep, you’re going to need energy for tomorrow.”

Kenya was already asleep, and when Johnathon went to go to sleep he asked me one more question.

“I don’t believe you’re daughter is dead Black, in fact I think everything will work out in the end, but if I may ask what if when we find her you don’t like what you find?” Johnathon asked.

Before I could answer he fell asleep, I swear that kid can make a lot of questions go through my head. I didn’t need to sleep, so I just watched the fire dance together until they became one with the night sky. There isn’t anything more magical then how bright the stars shine, Cecilia alwaysed loved the night sky but her favorite part about it was watching the moon and the stars dance, like they were made for each other. She truly believed that one day, the moon would show its true form and then the stars would sing the happiest tune, instead of just dance. My daughter knew the meaning of hope, she was pure and I prayed that wherever my baby girl is at that no one would try to take everything that she stood for.

Dear diary,

Today would be the day my daughter would turn sixteen, She’s been missing since she was fourteen. I should’ve told her about her origin’s, she deserved the truth and I just covered everything up because I was so afraid that she wouldn’t like what she found out. I’m a vampire, and I...I fell in love with a human. She’s half human, which means despite her having vampire blood she could still be injured. One day I’ll find my baby girl, I won’t give up, I’ll keep hoping she’s alive and I’m not going to stop until the day I find her.

Chapter 2

 Cecilia’s point of view.

It’s been three years since I last saw my mother, I miss her everyday and I’m beginning to forget what she looks like. I know my mother’s out there looking for me, she must’ve noticed when I went missing, my mother would’ve heard my scream. I won’t give up on the idea that’s she’s been looking for me, I just can’t do it and I won’t do it. This village I’m in thinks they’ve brained washed me and this handsome guy I’ve met, they believe that we’re one of them now. However, I know I’m not, I KNOW I’m half human and half vampire. I was about twelve when I found out, that was the same day I found my dad murdered on the living room floor. I could never forget that day, because it felt as though it was just yesterday when I found him lying on the ground dead, while Mom was crying her heart out, and I wanted to ease my mind so I went to look for a few of his things and found his journal. That’s how I found out who I was, who my grandparents are, and who my family really is.

Memory:

“Just wait until Dad finds out what happened to me in school today, do you think he’s going to be thrilled?!” I asked.

“How could he not be? You’re twelve and in junior high, someone asked you out and you rejected him because he was a player, not to mention you kicked the boy right in the nuts! If you’re father isn’t proud, then I swear that man is going to get an ear load of complaints from me!” Mom said.

We walked through the front door and there he was, lying on the cold hard wood flooring of our living room. Surround by a pool of blood, limbs hanging everywhere inside our living room with a message that said: I told you this would happen, you should’ve listened to me that day I asked you out. Now you’re husband has payed the price, you’re daughter is next Black.

Mom walked closer to dad’s body, and her knees just shook. She covered her face as tears started to fall, I was sad and confused. I wonder if Mom noticed the message on the wall saying I’m next, but what does it matter we just lost Dad. The only man worthy enough to be in our lives, I have to go through his stuff and find something of his that’ll make me feel better.

I ran to their room and digged through their closet, until I found his journal. It had a lot of interesting things in it, he talked about when he first started highschool and his mom was emotional. It was really boring because the first half of his journal talked about his highschool life, but then the other half began when he first met my mother. He even had a photo of what she looked like back then, and wow she’s everything I thought she used to look like. He talked about their first date, their first kiss, all the arguments they had, he had all the Love songs he wrote about her, he wrote poems about her, there were drawings of her as well and I got to admit my dad was perfect. He mentioned how she started acting strange, disappearing for long sets of time. Then he confronted her about it, and then that was the day she finally decided to introduce him to her parents. Grandma and grandpa were a little skeptical at first, thinking he was just like everyone else but after talking about each other for awhile they understood how much he loved my mom. Then they revealed their big surprise, my grandmother was the queen of vampires and my grandad the king of wolves, when they got married they merged the two clans together so that way they could rule side by side. They had three kids, and my mom happened to be the youngest.

I closed the journal, I didn’t need to know the rest. My parents ended up together despite how different they were, that right there was true love, nothing could ever rip them apart. Until tonight, the smell of his blood started to flood every part of the house and I could smell how much it smelled like iron.

Dad if your listening to my thoughts right now, and if your watching over me, then please guide Mom and have her find me.

“Hey beautiful, what’s going on in that brain of your’s that you have to close your eyes?”  Roland asked.

I looked over and I saw him sitting right by me, I watched as the light reflecting from the moon caressed his face, I laid on his shoulder and wondered, is Mom looking at the same stars I am? Is she wishing the exact same thing I am?

“It’s nothing to worry about babe, I’m fine.” I said.

Roland has blonde hair, and radiant emerald eyes. He has a voice of gold and can sing any song he wants to, it’s sweet thinking he’s only one year older then me and yet he would still sing me a song to go to sleep or change my mood. What would I do without him?

“Come on, you know you can tell me anything, so what were you thinking about?” Roland asked.

I couldn’t resist just hearing him talk, it’s hard when he has an accent.

“I was just thinking about my mom, and then I remembered something I didn’t want to remember.” I said.

He hugged me really tight and laid his head on mine.

“I’m so sorry, I wish there was something I could do for you. Wait a minute I have an idea, come with me.” Roland said.

He took my hand, and we got up from our spot, we ran to the woods and he conjured a telephone for me.

“What’s this for?” I asked.

“All you have to do is say your mom’s name and it’ll call her, it’s your birthday and you deserve to hear your mother’s voice.” Roland said.

Tears fell down my cheeks.

“Thank you Roland, this is by far the best gift I’ve been given.” I said.

I kissed him on the lips and then I spoke to the phone.

“Black fox.” I said.

It rang twice and then it made that click noise that let you know that they picked up the phone.

“Hello? Who is this?” Mom asked.

“Mom? Is that really you?” I asked.

“Cecilia?! Baby, it’s really me. How are you doing? Did your kidnappers hurt you? Are you safe? Where are you?” Mom asked.

My body shook with joy, and tears kept falling down my face.

“I’m okay, they did hurt me. I have scars on my back from them whipping me, however, other then that I’m safe, I just have to abide by their rules and I’ll be okay. I’m in a town called Jackson Ville, Mom I miss you, are you looking for me?” I asked.

“I’ll kill them baby, I swear it. I’ve been looking for you since you went missing, I’ve missed you baby girl, I’ll be there soon. I know exactly where Jackson Ville is, I bet I know exactly who kidnapped you.” Mom said.

“Mom, when you come for me, can my boyfriend come along?” I asked.

“I would love that sweetheart, I really want to meet this man. I have no doubt that he’s been taking care of you, what’s his name sweetheart?” Mom asked.

“His name is Roland, he’s the light of my life Mom.” I said.

“I’m glad baby, I got to go before the people that are helping me look for you wake up. I love you baby, I’ll see you soon.” Mom said.

“I love you too momma, I can’t wait to see you again.” I said.

I hung up the phone, and watched as blood came from Roland’s nose. The phone disappeared, and Roland fell onto his knees. I ran to him, pulled out his hanker chief and wiped his nose. I brought him onto my leg, and I let him regain his energy.

We’ll soon be out, we’ll be free. We’re never going to come back to Jackson Ville, if we come back we’re going to set every one free. You my love, just need to rest then everything will be over soon.

He twisted and stirred as he came back to his senses.

“Ugh, did I pass out again?” Roland asked.

I nodded my head.

“You’re safe now though, but Roland next time you do that don’t push your limits, I don’t like seeing you hurt.” I said.

“Baby, if I don’t bleed just a little then I won’t know if my enemies or I have grown in power.” Roland said.

“That’s how it’s supposed to be babe, everything is a mystery. There’s always going to be something unsolved, undiscovered, and it’ll be up to us to figure it out.” I said.

He looked down at the ground.

“Do you really want to me to leave Jackson Ville, with you and your mom?” Roland asked.

I was shocked by his question.

“Of course I do, life would be terrible without you. You’re the first guy I fell In love with, and believe it or not my love for you speaks for itself.” I said.

Chapter 3

 Black’s point of view.

I couldn’t sleep, I mean how can you after your missing daughter just called you?

“So who were you on the phone with?” Kenya asked.

“I’m sorry if I woke you, that....that was my daughter. She’s safe, and has a boyfriend, she also said she’s in Jackson Ville and she wants out.” I said, still amazed.

“I’ll wake up Johnathon, then we can head out immediately before dawn.” Kenya said.

Dear diary,

I get to finally see my baby girl, I found her location and now I get to hold her in my arms one more time.

-Black fox

It's currently midnight and Kenya is trying to wake up Johnathon, yeah he's not going to very happy. For three years of my life, I've been depressed, I thought about committing suicide because I thought I was a terrible mother for not being able to find my daughter, but now after being stopped from committing suicide, I am now being blessed with the truest gift there is, which is my daughter.

I’ve missed her dearly, and all I want is to go back home, I already lost four children, I cannot and will not lose another.

Three years ago.

“Happy sixteenth birthday baby girl, I’ve made your favorite. It’s eggs n’ a basket, just the way you like them.” I said.

“Awe mom, that is so sweet, thank you so much.” Cecilia said.

“What do you want to do today?” I asked.

“Well, I was thinking about going to a concert, but I’m not to keen on changing out of my pajamas.” Cecilia stated.

I laughed.

“Well baby girl, you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do, because it’s your birthday. So if you don’t want to go to that concert you don’t have to, or if you do then go in your pajamas.” I said.

My phone dinged, and I quickly looked at the message.

“Hey Black, it’s me Blake. I want to see my daughter, I know I walked out on you when you were pregnant with her and I know you’ve married someone else...or had married someone else, to bad I can’t thank him in person for helping you raise her. Please just let me see her.”

“You didn’t ask to see her before, why do you want to see her now? Besides, I haven’t even told her about you, so give me one good reason why I should.”

I can’t believe this guy!

“Uh hello, earth to mom.” Cecilia shouted.

“Huh? what?” I asked.

“Are you okay mom? Ever since your phone dinged you’ve been acting weird.”

“I’ll tell you when your ready, you just barely lost your dad so I’ll tell you another time okay?” I told her.

“Alright, I trust you.” Cecilia said.

Present time.

“Black? Are you alright?” Jonathon asked.

“Huh? What?” I asked.

I snapped back into reality. I’m hoping, that when I get my daughter back that the memories will stop flooding back, like they are in a loop.

“Are you ready to go ma’am?” Kenya asked.

“I was born ready, now here’s the plan.” I said.

Cecilia’s point of view.

“Alright babe, so this is what we’re going to do. We are going to meet my mom half way out of here, but in order to do that we need to take out the guards from up above and sneak out from the inside.” I said.

“How do you plan on doing that?” Roland asked.

“I just told you.” I said with sass.

“No literally, it’s like you forget they mixed the technology. You have to use a crank to turn the gate, so someone has to do that, then we have to pass the scanners without setting off any trip wires.” Roland said.

We really are in a predicament.

“Okay, so do you have any idea how to get out of here and meet my mom half way?” I asked with curiosity.

“I have a few guys that would love to help out, however, we need more then a few guys. Otherwise, there is no way we’re getting out of here alive.” Roland said.

“I can help out with that, you mind if I contact my mom again?” I asked.

“Not at all, no one is around so we can do it right here.” Roland said.

Roland started up his power and I contacted Mom.
