Mort The Orc
Chapter One: In Which the Beginning Begins
Feared across the realms was Mort the Orc
whose bloodied conquests laid at his boots.
Rummaging through the carcass,
he beheld the leafy loot.
He felt rather dumb
as he flipped through the pages,
realizing he lacked the ancient tongue.
A great blow of curiosity struck Mort the Orc.
To remedy this, he sought Lenny the Wizard
who taught Mort to read
in exchange for not pulling out Lenny’s innards.
Oh, what a marvelous strength to read!
This is this and that is that.
What a perfect addition to making enemies go splat!
So found of books was he,
that Mort the Orc opened his own library.
Between killing humans, elves, and trolls,
he pursued scholarly goals.
Well-read and well-versed in all things literary,
Mort became a killer scholar and most merry.
