Chapter 1: Blink

Waking up to a sweet nothing was the life. Wilson's vision of life was no pursuit of happiness everyday but only moments of breath. When all you do is wake up in a small world full of black and white outlooks, there are no moments that catch your attention. Only memories of a family far away. Only incoming calls are the conversations made with others. From uncles, cousins, and coworkers from the old log company. For Wilson's heart is empty, like the whiskey bottles that sit on top of the fridge. His dad was never around and his mother died in a traffic accident when he was thirteen. While staying in Trotville, Tennesee with his uncle (after his mother's death) for about five years, he got a job with a log company in Oklahoma. He was on his own. He now lives in a two bedroom cabin, on land inherited by his great grandfather. His uncle encouraged him to move and take care of the house. So he took a train from Tennesee to Oklahoma and felt comfortable with the house. So he stayed. He spends his days hunting, cleaning, and drinking. There was not much open land where the cabin was located but it was on fifty-five acres of woods. With no mission, plans, or new ideas made by Wilson, his days rolled by faster than light. Everyday was just another day. His work, liquor store stops, and walks by the river to fish and drink was the only time away from home. He only works weekends now, due to the log company cutting lots of workers and only having minimum work space and pay. He saves a lot of money and works on his own truck (which his uncle gave to him) and is very handy around the house. So money has never been much of a problem for him. He's been living in the house alone now for about four years.  Life for Wilson was not life at all, and he saw life as something less than "worth-living."

Chapter 2: Something Different

One Thursday night, Wilson went down to the bar to read more about the presidential debate and listen to other people's discussions. He's never had much of an interest in the news or the current world conditions, considering the outside world has no relation to him. After about an hour or two at the bar, Wilson decided to head home. As he was walking out, this girl with blonde hair and green eyes always caught his eye. She would make eye contact with him often. This time he actually noticed that she had the same guy with her that she had always, for about a year. On that particular day, Wilson had a change to his life. This change was his thoughts before falling asleep. As he layed down that night Wilson had that one girl on his mind. It was strange but he never felt the need to talk to someone like he did her. There was a different feeling about that moment he looked at her.

Chapter 3: Experimenting

The next week rolled around and Wilson couldn't stop thinking about her. He decided to drive back up to the bar once again. Only this time he had something planned. His need to contact this girl was strong. He doesn't know why the need was there but he felt like it was something he wanted. So he stayed for a while and ended up writing a note and left it with the bartender and told the bartender to let him now what she sais. He wrote on the note: "I don't know if this note is even meaningful, but I know you look at me like I look at you. I don't know if you think about me like I have you but I felt the need to leave you this.."

The next two weeks, Wilson drove to the bar really late to find out if the girl left any response. She did not. So Wilson gave up after checking a few more weeks but the bartender told him she hasn't been back in there since that week. So what is it? With such a little change in Wilson's day and new thoughts about someone running through his head; what does all this mean and why does this one person catch his attention so easily? This is something Wilson can't figure out himself.

The next three months were back to regular schedule. Wilson started drinking more and contemplating suicide more than he ever did. Everyday was the same as before, although he still thought about here.  Over the months he met a girl from the deli and she helped him with cleaning the deer and cooking. Her name was Elizabeth. She ended up staying with him for almost two months. She liked Wilson very much and they had some form of relationship. He still couldn't stop thinking about the girl from the bar...One weekend when Elizabeth went out of town, he went to the bar and saw her. He was very suprised. He wanted to approach her but she was crying. He asked her why she was crying, and he told her not to. She left the guy she was with and after being with him for a long time, she was upset and mad. Her emotions were everywhere that night. He started to leave her table but she told him to sit with her, because she needed someone to talk to. After this one night, they met every week and discussed a lot. Wilson never had much of a story to tell but she always had something to say that could make him smile more than he ever had smiled. She interests him more than anyone else ever had. He started realizing that he grew fond of her and this was something he wasn't used to feeling. Her name was Jade.

After a month of meeting with Jade, he told Elizabeth that it was best that she moved out and that he didn't need anymore help but she was upset because she liked him a lot. He wasn't any happier with her around though and he thought it was just a relationship he didn't need. That was just not something meant to happen. He was planning on making her leave, even before he started meeting Jade at the bar every week.

Wilson invited Jade to come see his cabin because it would be easier than just seeing her at the bar. He figured that if she came by it would be easier to talk. She came by that wedenseday. She say down on the couch and listened to him as he started to tell stories about himself and his life. She talked and said things about herself also. He stood up for about an hour and talked to her. Whether she knew it or not he was nervous and he did his best he could to hide it. That's why he kept walking around and couldn't sit down. He loved how her Beautiful eyes watched and listened to him. He was happier than he's ever been with her around.
