Moving

Leaving Michigan wasn't the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I knew I had my whole life ahead of me, and I needed to forget the ugly past. I had gotten a new job and a new house in Memphis, Tennessee, which is where I originally lived before the accident. I had just gotten my bachelors in education and was looking for a fresh start.

The drive there was long and hot since it was only the beginning of July. My parents called during the drive to wish me safe travels and good luck with my new job. Even though I love my parents dearly, they always have been overprotective of me. This drove me crazy when I was a teenager, which is why I still blame them for my accident. I wanted to rebel so much in high school, since they always wanted to know my every move. After high school, I left for Michigan and never looked back until the accident. They were always there though after the accident, which is why I've learned to forgive them over this past year.

My ex-boyfriend also called during the drive, but I decide not to answer because I didn't want to complicate things even more. He lost all communication with me after the accident. I thought I loved him, but I was never so wrong about a person I cared so much about in my life.

New Neighbor

My new house sat on top of a hill next to one other house. It was a pale two-story with dark, green shutters. When I first saw the house online, I knew I was in love. It had reminded me of my childhood home, which is the main reason I decided to buy it.
