Chapter 1

Saya:

My name, is Saya, I'm an young girl with black hair. I am a Descendant or also known as a hekka. For those who don't know what a Descendant is, Descendants are a powerful race with hidden magical abilities and have the ability to change into one animal only. I’m a young girl with three bright blue dots under my eyes. I am 13 years old. My father moved away before I was born so I live with my mother and younger brother, Marilyn. My mother has stripes of dark and light brown in her fur and has 3 small, dark brown dots under both of her eyes. Marilyn, my brother, has a splotch of bright green under his eyes against his dark gray hair. The marks under our eyes is a symbol of hekka, not all hekka have this mark. Today, I am on the computer in my room. There are boxes everywhere because we had just moved into this house. It’s old and rickety but it's sturdy enough. I'm talking to my friends after I got all my stuff out. My friends moved out 2 years ago. 

     “So, how’s the new place, Saya?” asked one of my friends

     I hear mom call to Marilyn, “Marilyn, try to look a little nice, settle down and be polite. The electrical man is here.” “OK, Mom!” Marilyn replied.

     Mom answered the door and greeted the man. 

     “Marilyn, how bout you show this nice handsome man where the electrical issue is.” She called him again. “Maril-”

     Silence. He went thumping down the old spiral wooden stairs. I told my friends I had a couple loose floorboards I can hide in from my brother. I took my phone and switched to facecam and showed them my room and the floorboards. I went back to my computer to work on Telekinesis which I had been studying for a few months now. I found a Tube video but it didn't help much. I tried for the 2034th time, but nothing happened so I went back to my friends. I heard a scream from the ground floor. I knew it was Marilyn. I closed my computer and opened the floorboards. I got down into the floor and I closed the boards. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and my brothers muffled tears. I prayed for no harm.

     “Saya, what's going on?” one of my friends asked. “Please be quiet!” I whispered into my phone.

     The electrical man entered my room. He was a big white man of some sorts, and he held Marilyn by his ruff on his neck.

     “Sh- sh- she sh-sh-should be in h-h-here...” Marilyn stammered. “WHERE IS SHE!?” said the man. 

     “I DON'T KNOW!” my brother screamed. 

      He screamed again as I saw very roughy as he took a clean, decorated knife and slowly pushed it into my brother's chest, and slid it down his stomach. Tears rushed to my eyes and I tried with all my might, not to let out a sound. Blood ran down the walls and seeped through the floorboards, right where I was. 

     “I gotta go...” I managed to choke out quietly to my friends. 

     I hung up and called 911. I was afraid the operator gave away my place, but over Marlyn’s chokes, he couldn't hear me. I saw Marilyn’s eyes roll up showing the white in his eyes. There were footsteps out of my room and then turned around to drop my brother’s lifeless, bloodied body on my floor, right on top of the loose boards. I heard sirens outside the house two minutes later and the man had run out the back door. I crawled around to find other loose boards and thankfully found one. But I regretted coming out. The scene was horrific. My brothers body lay on the floor, blood still spilling out. More tears came to my eyes and rushed down my face like a river. I kneeled over him, looking at his petrified and pain filled face. His eyes had no life in them and were frosted over. I lay on top of him bawling. When that was over, I went down to the kitchen and my mother's face and arms were in the kitchen sink. The soapy water wasn't the pure white it always is, it was blood red. A knife stuck out of her back. More tears raced down my face as I looked helplessly at her expressionless face. An officer came barging into the house. The police officer looked at a slip of paper. I thought it was the house address but I thought wrong. He murmured to me. 

     “Well, looks like the caller, turns out to be a Descendant.” He sneered.

     “What do you mean?” I asked.

     “A Descendant. You, came from an all powerful-” 

     I rammed into him and knocked him into the bathroom. I took a hanger that mom had left on a crevasse of the doorway into the dining room. I uncoiled it and wrapped it around the doorknob and attached it to screws that pokes out of the wall. Not much but it’ll do. For now. I bolted out the door as several neighbors stared at me. Their expressions turned from neutral, to fear filled. I looked at the police car and found that the officer, if he really was one, had stupidly left the car unlocked. I got in the car and hotwired the rust bucket. I slammed on the accelerator and sped off just as the “officer” had gotten out of the house. I only got about half a mile down the neighborhood before I saw a strange looking girl about my age. She had green amber eyes and long silky brown hair. She signaled me to stop as I figured that the cops weren't too close. I saw some blood on her clothes and a guy, hobbled out of the house after her with a knife in his eye.

      “Get in. Now!” I said.

 I flung open the passenger side door. Once she got in, I could see blood all over her face but she had two distinct dark brown lines that went down under her eyes connecting under her chin . I tried focused on the road but didn’t notice a speed bump. We went over it speeding. The car lifted off the ground a few inches and came back down spinning out of control. We smashed right into the trunk of an oak tree right next to an alleyway. This is what you get for not wearing a seatbelt I thought to myself. I crashed right through the windshield, the glass shattering into a million pieces, as I lay on the hood of the vehicle. I noticed new cuts on myself and as soon as I knew that, the whole world went black.

Chapter 2

Jay :

I am Jay, I am your average 13 years old girl and I grew up in a rough part of town with only my mother and my younger sister.  My father had left me when I was very young and my older sister had left for the war that commenced between two parts of the city. I never really was able to leave the house because of my sick mother and sister, plus the crime that took place in the city and in the woods. I wasn’t allowed to go to school because of the crime, but I was able to learn because the news channels would videotape school classes , for children who weren't allowed to go to school or couldn’t pay for it. I would watch the channel for 8-9 hours at a time, because one, I was eager to learn and two, I had nothing else to do.  There were recent kills and my mother told me to take the empty glass bottles, the pistol (which was full of bullets and was hidden in the house) and go shoot the bottles of water. 

    “And don’t forget Jay,’’ Mother added, “don’t leave the backyard….” 

One night, a canine in all black and covered in blood, broke into my house, I got out of bed with my sister to see who the intruder was… he pulled out something from his pocket… It was a picture of my whole family. He took a quick look at the picture, realizing that he had stumbled upon what looked to be his target. He bashed the lights and the room was dark. The only light that you could see was from car lights that passed by without a notice of what was happening.  The man stabbed my sister in the stomach and pulled out a gun and shot her in the head. My mother came down the stairs to see what was going on. He then stabbed my mother through the neck… she didn’t have even have enough time to even make an expression...she fell to the ground… I quickly had this burning sensation in the core of my body and quickly grabbed this rusty old knife that wasn’t even sharpened.

     I  yelled with a shaky voice, “What do you want!” 

     A low muffled voice said, “I want you DEAD!!!HAHAHA!”

     The knife, now glowing a silver blue, became light and sharp... The man charged at me with his knife! With a swift twist of my feet and striking movement of my body I was behind him. 

    “So it is true, ha. I can't believe I’m going to wipe out another descendent!.” he sneered.

     I took the knife, now flaring with sparks and charged swiftly behind the man who flinched, he barely had time to turn his whole body. I stabbed him throw the eye and the blade, now out of my hands,burnt his skin, searing the knife into his skull. Out of pain and anger the man pushed me away, and I flew out the door landing on my stomach the man tripped and fell on his head knocking him out cold, he fell next to me out like a light, as I stumbled to my feet, my legs and hands were shaking now, but the memory of what HE could do, started to flood my mind, and befor I knew it I was three blocks away from my house. Then I started to hear police sirens not too far from me, then I saw a police car, thinking that there was a police officer who was going to help me. Instead, I saw a girl who looked to be 12 or 13, probably the same age as me? I took what I could get and started to wave my hands, trying to tell her I was in need of help. She saw me covered in blood and stopped the car and unlocked it, then I notice that she was covered in blood too. 

     “Get in !” she said as she swung the passenger sides door open. 

     She started to drive.  I asked her where we were going and she said, “Away from the murderer” and I looked at her and tried to see if she was injured. She wasn’t hurt but I started to notice her physical characteristics. She had a black hair with three blue dots under both eyes. Her eyes were an icey blue when compared to green eyes that were interlaced with a light green.  Then we started to hear police sirens behind us. 

      ‘’Great! We could get the police and they will take care of the murder and they’ll take-” She stopped me.

     “NO, they’re with the murders! Or at least one of them!” she screamed.

     I didn’t know whether or not to trust her but she saved me back there. But, I don’t know what to think about a young pup who is covered in blood and had hot wired a police car would lie about a murder.  She sped up and we hit a bump in the road.  The car spun out of control and crashed into a tree. She flew out of the front window and I sat there in shock, still alive, but not moving.  I heard the police sirens and felt something warm and liquidy drip down my forehead, it was blood. I snapped out of my shock, and stumbled out of the vehicle and tried to get to my feet. I stumbled to the girl, who was unconscious. I checked for a pulse and found that she had one. I felt somewhat relieved to not see someone else die today. I held her on my back, then I saw that there were cops surrounding us, I think three or four. I ran through the alleyway that stood ahead of me.  I looked back and saw that the ally was too small for some of the cops, but big enough to kick off of. I jumped to one side and then to the other and repeated this process until I was 50, maybe even 60 feet up. I got to the top and jumped from one building to the next till I fell through a space on one of the buildings and fell right onto one of the fire escape ladders. I looked around, I didn’t hear anything but a few birds in the background. I looked at the building, I quickly knew that the building was abandoned. I found a room in the abandon building that had a ripped up bed, a bath, sink (that had running water) and a fridge with some food that wasn’t totally rotten. I layed her on the ripped up bed, and got some water. She woke up before I got to her. 

     ‘What had happened?”  She asked. 

     “I carried you to this abandoned building,” ‘’Why? Why didn’t you leave me to die.’’ She asked.

      ‘’You saved me back there, it wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t help someone who had gone through the same thing as me, I think.’’ 

     I  asked what her name was, and...she flinched...like she still was in shock, then she spoke, but didn’t turn to me.

     “Tell me yours first, and then I’ll tell you mine.”

     I paused at the thought since I never really had friends…

     ”Jay” I replied.  “Saya. Nice to met you. Thank you for taking care of me.” 

“No problem, you picked me up of the street and you also warned me about the cops.” 

     I handed her a rag I found, I rinsed it with water to wash away the blood, like what my mother would if we had cut ourselves by playing or if we got dirt on our faces. Then I went back to the sink to rinse the blood from the cloth and filled it with water. 

     “Thanks,” she said abruptly.

     “Yeah, don't mention it, but, by the way,’’ I added, “what happen to you?’’ “I mean your family,’’ 

     She...paused and started to tear up, but she tried to stop herself. 

     “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.’’ ”N-no, it’s fine,’’ she stuttered. 

     She told me how she was talking to her friends, how she hid under the floorboards, and how her brother was gutted right above her, blood from her brother dripped down on her...And how the police and the murder both tried to kill her...And...how she escaped. I...choked at the thought of what she had gone through, but then I remembered my little story.

     She asked “how about you then.” 

     I gagged at the thought!  I told her what had happened and she had a more horrified facial expression then me. I started to sob at the feel of the memories flooding back into my head. She told me that it was alright, and I tried to suck it up, but we both knew that everything was not alright.

Chapter 3

 “We can’t stay here forever. We can’t use the water or electricity because they’ll press charges on this building and discover us.” I said abruptly. 

‘’How about the sewers?’’ replied Jay. “So… you want us to live like animals?” ’’Hey, there is an abandoned mine shaft, and plus we can escape through the lost road’’ said Jay. “Lost...road? No one comes out. There's only one way through.” I remembered stories about people going in and never returning. 

“But I’ve been living here, in this part of the city longer than you. Those stories are false. When I was bored I would stand at the entrance, but I’ve heard that it leads to alley ways,’’ Jay purred nervously.  

“I guess it’ll do for a few days; but we can’t live there forever.” I replied nervously.

 ’’Ok, but let's take what we can and wash the blood from are hair and clothes. We can’t we go into town, covered in blood.”

 “Right. If we are discovered, our survival rate is put in jeopardy.’’ I said. We left the building after we cleaned ourselves up.

… … … 

“There is a river not too far from here.” I added. I could hear the faint sound of rushing water. 

“How do you know? I've never seen a river here.” Jay said wearily. 

“I can hear it.”

 “That's not a river.”

 “Then what is it?” I was agitated. The dots under my eyes were glowing brightly. 

“They are here! We have to move now!” Jay screamed.

“Who!?” I screamed to her.

“The Hounds!” We rushed off into the dark woods.

                                               ……..

 Jay took my hand and dragged me through the dark forest. Everything was quiet except for the fall of our foot steps and the rush of the Hounds. I could hear growling from behind us and whoever they were, were gaining. 

“There they are! Get them! We have to bring them to the leader!” I heard one of them say. I didn’t see a rock and I tripped. Jay’s hand slipped out of my hand and she turned around to help me up. The policeman were catching up, there was no time to stop. 

“Go, Jay! GO!” I screamed. I scrambled to my feet but I was too late. I felt one of the Hound jump on top of me. He pinned me to the ground and motioned for the rest to catch Jay. 

“NO!” jay turned around and met the policeman head on. She headbutted one and slugged another in the gut and flipped him over. She grabbed the other under the chin and slammed her fist into his skull knocking him out cold. Two more were on the ground, snarling at her. One lunged and the other circled around to her back and leaped onto her. The Hound on top of me, hurled me to my feet and tried to drag me away, but I struggled out of his grasp and stood to his face. I noticed his features. His hair was a dark grey and he had red streaks in it. His hair was all silver, clearly a sign of status.  He had a scar across his right eye and he has a gash coming from the left side of his jaw and down to his chin. He also had a patch of dark skin under his eyes.

“Well, little pup, you are no match for me. You will come with me to meet our master, or watch your friend suffer greatly!” He said as he swiftly moved forwards, backing me in between two giant boulders, allowing no escape. I balled my fists up and positioned them, ready to fight; then I remembered, my swiss army knife. I swung my arm above my head, looking like I was about to surrender, but instead, reaching for my knife, which was over my shoulder and securely in my hood. By the time I had gotten the knife and reached to injure him, the Hound advanced towards me and swung me to the ground. I rolled over before he got on top of me. I vaulted myself upright and pinned him to the ground.

“To fall, is to die!” he growled to himself, as he rolled over to pin me down again and attempted to removed my knife, but was unsuccessful. I moved out of his way and he tumbled and smashed his leg against a rock, hidden under the leaves. He ignored the pain and ordered his scouts on me as he too, advanced.

“Run, Saya! Run!” Jay weakly shouted to me. I turned to run and the Hound followed, right on my feet. I hurtled over a fallen tree and slid under an overhanging rock, right into an aggressive black male. He grinned at me and groped at me for the ruff on my neck, but I took my knife and sliced his arm. It pierced his bicep and perforated his tendon, paralyzing the arm. He howled in agony and put his arm on me, wrapped it around me, but he was not strong enough. I broke his grasp on me and climbed a nearby tree. I got to a place to where I could jump to the next tree. I made my way to Jay and dropped down on one of the Hounds and stabbed the other, his blood spilling out onto the forest floor. The other Hounds got up and lunged at me. I turned around and pulled out my blade and quickly shot it through the lower half of his jaw, accidentally searing his windpipe and esophagus. Jay scrambled to her feet, scanning the scene for any other Hounds. They were all gone for now, so we fled the scene before any more arrived.

                    … … ...

We made our way down the Lost Road, and searched for possible camps. We eventually reached the city and snuck down an alleyway. 

“Ok, I took $1,000 from the Hounds you knocked out, we can buy what we need for now. We split it. $500, and $500, ok. You get yourself some clothes and food you prefer. I’ll get my supplies. We meet back here at this chalk mark in an hour.” I started to Jay, as I dug a line in the wall, drawing a symbol. A feather with a line through it. 

“Alright! Let's go!” Jay reluctantly set off to go shopping. 

“Set a low profile!” I shouted over to Jay cautiously.

I went into a grocery store and got some fruit, ham and hot chicken. That totaled up to $64.24. I then popped into Navy Green clothes shop. I was in the mood for rough and tough, yet not too tough. I got a pair of bootcut jeans with rips in them, then I got a baggy shirt which I would tie at my stomach to make it shorter, but still comfortable. I got some socks and a jean jacket. That totaled to $96.68. What is with clothes prices these days! 

I headed to our rendezvous and I wasn't exactly expecting Jay, but she was there. 

“Jay! You look great!” I exclaimed. She was wearing a leather jacket over her top, she had black baggy jeans and her hood was up. She turned around to face me and I saw that it wasn't Jay. Fear and adrenalin rushed through me at that moment. I slowly slipped my hand towards my pocket knife, having it at the ready incase the stranger attacked. At that moment, Jay come up to me. 

“Hey Saya, what's happening? Who is this?” she asked. “I don't know. Who are you!” I hissed at the stranger. They took their hood down and I saw their face. He was that crock from the fight last night. His face was scarred and his eyes glowed a yellow as he looked at us. A smile started to cross his face. He took off his jacket and set it down. 

“I saw you. In the Lost Road. That was pretty sick, you with the knife! And her,” he pointed to Jay with his own knife he dragged out. “Now she's a fighter!” 

“Who are you!” I demanded again. “You newbs never know what's happening until it's happened. The name’s Tahoe.” he said. I looked at Jay. She was unsure.

“Ok, Tahoe. Saya.” I said, offering my paw. He took it and we shook. I looked at Jay, and she looked at me.

“Jay” she said as she took Tahoe’s hand. “Anyways,” Tahoe said. “Shall I show you around the alleys?” 

What if he leads us somewhere and attacks us? I was thinking about the possibilities of trusting him. What if we can't trust him?

“We’re fine, Tahoe.” Jay said abruptly as if reading my mind. “But, I guess we might meet again sometime.” I added

Chapter 4

”ok’’ Tahoe said abruptly, “But if you ever need some help in the alleys, just call my name, and I'll be there quicker then you can say ‘help!’” Tahoe said with a soft croak.

’’why are you helping us?’’ Saya said with a pissed off tone, almost like she was a stubborn kid that didn’t get what they wanted.  I pulled Saya over and asked what's wrong, and she told me what happened during the fight last night. “ya know...’’ Tahoe interrupted. We both jumped at his sharp tone. 

“I respect a lot  of things about you two, like how you beat the Hounds to a bloody pulp, and how you have a good instincts towards someone who COULD of offered you guys help, but...’’ he was interrupted. 

“But what?’’ Saya said with that pissed tone again.

“BUT, I might have just mugged ya kids, but you passed the test.’’ 

“What test?” Saya snorted. Is this guy serious? He smiled and just like that... he left. 

‘’Anyways, I got some ripped jeans, and jean shorts, along with a leather jacket, and a nice sweat shirt and a white crop top with a black undershirt, and some combat boots .’’ I said as sweetly as possible, acting like that didn’t happen. 

“So where’re we going to stay tonight?’’ I purred.

“I know a local motel near here,’’ Saya said kindly, as all her impatience left her. That night, at the motel, we had just about enough money for a room that would last a week, it was really only 76$ a night. And our room got a good view of the lake, ocean? I don't know, the city is surrounded by ‘’the great walls” to protect us from the outside world, as kids we’re told of monsters and demons outside of the walls, so no one leaves them. But i guess they built oceans for the good of people.

“Good thing we used cash, instead of credit.’’ Saya said gladly. 

“No kidding, the government might find us quicker if we used credit,’’ I said with a soothing smile. 

“No shit, ’’ Saya shorted while choking back a laugh. 

“But it was weird how the front desk didn’t ask for our age?’’ I frowned. 

“What if the desk lady finds out who we are?” Saya said, a little worried. 

“Then, I guess we’re screwed. But, let's just say there was an accident.” I replied. “And plus,  I don't think she would be so concerned with two kids out of a whole building  of families.’’ I added...

We heard a knock on the door and the desk lady spoke to us. 

“Girls, your father is here!” “Oh crap!” Saya raced around the room collecting anything we would need. 

“Come on girls, open up please!” the desk lady ask impatiently. 

“We’re getting dressed, no need to bother us!’’ I said with a nervous tone and an awkward smile. At that moment, the door swung open and a man barged in. The desk lady was out cold on the opposite wall. He strode toward me with a smirk on his face as he pushed me into the corner of the room. I caught Saya out of the corner of my eye, the man had a dry laugh. He held Saya by her ruff, making her raise her head. She, kicked at his chest and legs, just trying to loosen the grip. 

“LET HER GO, YOU BASTARD,’’ I screamed, with a blood curdling tone. 

“Ok, I’ll let her go.” he said with a frown. Then he smirked and threw Saya across the room and she crashed into the desk shattering the wood and knocking her out cold. He then took out a knife and pressed it to my throat. I feel a little “glowy’’ like I did with the other man, when he killed my family, but then I realized, that my hands were glowing a nice white with a tinted blue, green. And then I felt light, like air. 

“Come over here, you bitch,’’ and I just lost it…I killed the man, but he injured saya, she had a big cut on her leg, Tahoe came to the  seen later, and told us that we had to move

Chapter 5

(Saya)

As we walked through the lost road, Tahoe and jay helped carry me. All of a sudden we hear whimpering, 

“what's that?!” she said as tough a she could. 

“I don't know’’ I replied, ‘’it sounds like-hey look over there’’ 

A girl with purple eyes, who seemed to be about Jay and my age, was whining behind a tree.  She looked beaten and bruised, and a little bloody, she had cuts like she had run through a thing of a thorn bushes. Her eyes were wide and she looked like she had seen a ghost, 

“Hey, are you ok?’’ Jay said. 

For a while, she didn't reply. She then stood up and turned around, and her eyes grew even bigger. She… stared. At me. I didn't see anymore sadness in her eyes, all I saw, was fear. She stared into my eyes, and she didn't make any moves. 

“Are you ok?” I asked.  She stood there, and she relaxed a bit. She looked away towards Jay. She was still nervous, but was starting to relax. She kept glancing at me, like i was gonna hurt her. She tried to stand up, but as soon as she took a step she fell on her stomach whining, Tahoe let go of me and went towards the girl , as four purple dots under each of her eyes started to glow, a hekka mark. Tahoe started to back up,

“We want to help you’’ he said with a short smile, she started to calm down, as Tahoe offered his hand.  She took  it, but as she did, she passed out.

“No!’’ screamed Jay, “I can't see another person die to day, I'm to numb for this, not again!’’ she screeched

“She’s not dead,’’ Tahoe said calmly.

Jay was crying by now, ‘’what,’’ she said puzzled.

“ She's not dead, just passed out, but if we don't start moving, she will be,’’ replied Tahoe, next thing I know, Tahoe left with the girl in his arms we all ran out of the lost road, and climbed down a sewer pipe about the size of a car.

When we got to the end of the pipe, we were at an abandoned warehouse on the other side of the city. We must of ran miles and miles, but it only took a few minutes? What the hell. In the warehouse there were other animals in there was three females and two males (not counting Tahoe), and all of them looked like they were ready to kill us, and they all had at least one or two scar’s. 

“Who are they?’’ the mouse said with a molasses tone, that was as thick as smoke. “Some new members, what about em?’’ Tahoe said with a soft hiss, 

“Are they hekka?’’ the iguana asked.

“Yeah, and strong ones too, but he’s after them to, they need to be trained.’’ he said with that soft tone again. “This is Jay and Saya,’’ he pointed to us. 

“what about that one?’’ the tom pointed to the young girl. 

“I didn’t catch her name, she passed out  before i could ask.’’ Tahoe replied while looking down. I looked at Jay who was eyeing down the tom, like it was her hero, and the tom looked at her like a new friend, but still keeped his tough look.

‘’Who are these people?’’ I asked Tahoe.

“My gang.”’ he said with a soft smile.

Chapter 6

(Jay)

‘’Well’’ the tom started. “What's this kind of welcome! And what happened to her leg?” The tom said, pointing at Saya’s leg with a surprisingly normal tone.

“That’s why i brought them. Well, that and that they’re hekka.” Tahoe replied. 

“I'm going to choose who will train them,’’ Tahoe crooked with a smile, 

“Tomboy ,’’ he pointed to the Tom then to me, “You’ll train jay, and the first lesson is on how to heal this poor girl's leg,’’ he started while pointing to me and the Tom back and forth, then he pointed to the women, ‘’Jojo, you will train saya,’’ he smiled. ‘’And Blake, you’ll train the little girl,’’ he crooked  ‘’Now show these girls their new rooms , how about the last room on the right of my room?’’ 

“Alright’’one the women hissed. I am kinda excited, I finally have new friends! ‘’Follow me,’’ the women hiss again with a sweet tone, we followed the women up the stairs  and down the halls till we got to this motel like room,the room was made from band-bo and had green walls, there were no bathrooms, only windows three desk and three beds, there was also a taris that gave us a view of the city, we were high up probably on a hill or something. Suddenly the tom walked in with some of our bags, and he looked at me with a smile,and gave me his hand, 

“Name’s, Tomboy, how are you doing?’’ he purred, I never really saw any male, just my mother, and my sister...but..they're gone now, i looked down while i shook Tomboy’s hand, when i started to notice his features, he had black hair that was long and covered one eye and had flaming orange eyes and one scar over his shoulders, he wore black baggy jeans, and a black leather jacket, that had a built in hodey on the inside of the leather jacket. 

“You ok, lass,’’ he said with a frown,  

“I'm fine. Just thinking about my sister and my mother. They both died on the same day; murdered right in front of me.’’ i said frowning.

“And what about your dad?’’ he choked with a toothy frown. I didn’t think about my dad, he left when i was young and never came back, I never knew what he looked like, or knew what he was like. 

“He left when i was young,’’ nodding my head, as tomboy folded his arms and shook his head back and forth,

“I'm so, sorry lass, but know that if you ever need anything, and I mean anything, just ask me, ok?’’ he smiled 

“ok’’ I choked with a smile in return. 

We finally finished packing, and the girl woke up, or should I say Spade. Yeah, she told us her name and everything. It turns out that her family was killed by the government, (according to her the ‘’PMA’’). When she was three, she was living in the forest ever since, but, it turns out she trained herself to control her powers, but not to fight. She has the ability of super speed, and invisibility; and it turns out she was following us until we got attacked by the Hounds, then they found her, beat her up, and left her for dead. Also on that note, Tomboy taught me how to heal Spade’s and Saya’s wounds. Blue light flared through the air, and a blue liquid the glowed, rushed throw their wounds, and welded them shut.

Chapter 7

Spade: 

My name is Spade. I’m a girl with orange hair with a stripe of black and purple, and a dot beside both of my eyes. I am 13 years old and I live hidden away by myself in the forest.  How I got here may be sad, but it’s how I live. You see, I was adopted when I was one, so I never knew my real parents, but I loved my adopted parents and adopted sister, Maple. Things were great, until I turned three when my Hekka mark, four small purple dots under each of my eyes, started to appear. I would also find myself running faster than usual and find that Maple would claim I disappeared even though I was right in front of her. The biggest mistake in my life, was telling my parents. They were forced to tell the Population Management Agency, or the PMA for short. The PMA figured out I had powers, speed and invisibility to be specific, and came to kill me. My parents told me to run into the forest and never look back, no matter what. I did what I was told and escaped through the back door with only my emergency money in my pocket. I climbed the fence and heard someone shouting. 

“WHERE DID SHE GO?!” I heard two screams, and then...silence. Tears were running down my face as I sprinted into the forest. I climbed a tree about a mile in to get a better view of my area when I heard the unmistakable scream of my sister. Quietly crying, I looked at my surroundings. I couldn’t go back the way I came, North, and I knew that the city was South, so I couldn’t go that way if I wanted to stay hidden. It was either East or West. Since the sun was already setting in the West, going East seemed like the better direction because it was darker, so it would be harder to find me. I turned East, climbed down the tree, and sprinted as fast as I could until I got tired. That was just about the worst night of my life. I had a dream about my adoptive parents, telling me to stay strong and that crying doesn’t help. Ever since then, I never cried again, and that dream stuck with me forever. I was living like this, constantly on the run and in fear until I was about seven when I found out how to make a fort out of the things around me. By age eight, I had made a solid living out of my conditions, with my home in the trees. I would go out into the city once a week to get as much food as I could find with the little money I had. Also, each day I didn’t go to the city, I would practice and learn to control my Hekka powers. When I turned 10, I had full control over my powers and learned how to spy on the PMA. I found out they thought I was dead, which was good, that meant that they weren’t looking for me. I also became an unofficial member of a gang, as their personal spy. It wasn’t like I was being paid, but I want nothing more than the PMA to be taken down. I’ve been with that gang since I was ten and now I’m 13. Today was the day I decided to check out the neighborhood near by my home. I turned invisible and sped to the neighborhood. When I reached a clearing, there was a girl, sprinting down the street, she was covered in blood. I wanted to go help her, but I stopped myself when I saw a police car come up to her and she got in. I decided to keep an eye on them because I was getting curious. I went over to a tree, made sure I was still invisible and watched them, until I realized they were coming straight for the tree I was in! I jumped out of the tree and silently prayed I wouldn’t get hurt. I landed with a hard impact, but managed to get back on my feet with only a few bruises. I walked back to the clearing, staying low and quiet, even though I was still invisible. The kit I saw walking had blood dripping down her face, but otherwise seemed to be fine. The other girl was a wolf, who was driving the car, looked to be unconscious. It was then when I realized that the police were coming after them! The first girl grabbed the unconscious one and put her on her back and ran into the alley. I followed closely behind without revealing myself, I mean, after all I didn’t even know these girls, they could be part of the PMA for all I knew. However I stayed with them. I followed them into an abandoned building and into a room with a bed, tub, sink, and fridge. I was still invisible, so they couldn’t see me, but I learned that you should never let your guard down, so I found a hiding spot and lay low. The cat lay the wolf on the bed. Once the unconscious pup came too, the first one asked her what her name was. I couldn’t see very well from my hiding spot, but I could tell she was hesitant. 

    “Tell me yours first, and then I’ll tell you mine,” she said.

    “Jay,” replied the she-cat.

    “Saya,” replied the other. The girls cleaned themselves up, then proceeded to tell each other their stories. Turns out, that both their families were killed by the PMA too. I almost cried remembering that I thought that these girls were part of the PMA, but stopped myself, remembering my parents’ voices in my dream. Crying never helps. I didn’t know if I should stick with these girls, or go back to my home and forget this ever happened, but I did know one thing for sure. Things were about to get interesting. I followed the girls, but then i realized that the Hounds were on our tails, but just like that they kicked ass. I thought it was safe to no longer be invisible, little did I know how fast the Hounds healed themselves, They saw me, 

“get her!’’ they screamed. Next thing I know, i'm beaten and left for dead. Then what felt like hours of dragging my limp body only ten feet. I see them, the girls and they see me but they were with someone, A man, he gave me his hand but before I could take it...everything...goes...dark-

Chapter 8

(spade)

The next morning I was the first up, for a minute I forgot where I was. I was confused to wake up looking at the ceiling instead of a bundle of leaves. Then I remembered everything that happened, what I had dragged myself into. I looked out the window from my bed closest to the door and considered if I should try to escape. I didn’t, i just felt like staying, i don’t know why? 

Once we were all up and ready, we headed to the dining hall for breakfast. Today they were serving pancakes. Jojo was handing them out and she gave everyone two big pancakes and handed us syrup too, but in a cup so we could pour it ourselves. This was nice, actually it was good, maybe I’ll join this gang, and quit the other one, but they might of fired me or thought i was dead, when i didn’t show up last night. I again considered escaping, this time to go back to my old gang, but I stopped myself. Saya and jay seemed nice, and I wanted to be their friend. Also if I was caught, there would be no telling what the PMA would do to me, they already assumed I was dead, twice, and I don’t think they would make the same mistake a third time. ‘’It's time for training’’ laughed Tomboy. “Ok, i'm coming!” yelled jay as she walked over to the tom. “C’mon Saya.” Jojo said sternly as i could see she enjoyed annoying Saya with her tones. “Spade!’’ Blake would squawk ,”Let’s go.” I cleaned up my stuff and hurried over to Blake, she was working me really hard yesterday, and I was nervous about what she would make me do today. She took me to the room we were in yesterday. jay and Saya joined me in the room, with Tomboy and Jojo. Blake told us that we would be meditating today and concare the hekka spirit and soul.  We all got in a circle and sat down. “Now, focus on the chi around you, and imagine what it would look like. Feel it flowing through you.” Jojo told us. “Breath in breath out,’’ purred Tomboy. We all did, and I could feel something right away, but as soon as it came, it left me. Then my eyes started to glow and the same with jay, and saya’s eyes. Our marks glowed different colors, then the world went white, and we were in some kind of void. Suddenly there was a flash and I was all alone. “Hello?” I called, “Where did everyone go?” I then heard a voice in my head, I think it was Blake’s? Telling me to try and find the Hekka power inside me. I did and I could see the world coming back slowly, but i wasn't where i sat last, i was in the woods, and i saw Saya. She looked at me and she attacked me, not out of any fear, but anger. She didn't look like the Saya i knew, and i could see that something in her eyes didn't look right. I dodged her first attack and i concentrated on hekka, and  turned invisible, tho she acted as if she could still see me. “What's wrong with you Saya!” I shouted, but she didn't hear me, at least, that’s what it seemed. “Saya! Snap out of this!” I felt all the energy drain from me as i let all my problems escape my body in a burst of energy. I felt myself charge and hit Saya. She disappeared and i came back to the training room. I yelled as i came back and no one looked at me. I looked around at them, and Blake said quietly to me, “What did you see?” I hesitated and i told her about how Saya went rouge. “Well, this could have many different meanings.” “What do you mean, ‘meanings’?” “I mean that Saya attacking you could-” Blake stopped when saya woke up screaming bloody murder and fell over on her side, clutching her head. Jojo stood up and asked her what she saw herself. I couldn't hear everything saya said, but I heard that a blue wolf had died right in front of her and the black policeman sliced her limbs off with a knife. jay woke up and she started to throw up. Tomboy hunched over her and asked if she was alright, then he asked what she saw. She said she saw, herself  reliving her family's death, and a bullet had hit her through the chest and a black snake exited the wound “Why are we doing this, it’s just causing us all grief!” I exclaimed to Blake. “It may not seem like it now, but it will help you in the future. Now, be quiet,” she hissed at me. I stayed quiet and watched as my friends told their instructors what happened in the void. 3 hours later we left to go back to our original training areas. Once everyone else had left, Blake put the weights back on me. I sighed to myself, This again I thought. “Now shoot this-” Blake handed me a disc much like the one I had used yesterday, “-at the target using your speed. I want it to be so fast, that I can barely see it. And if you can get this once, you can be done for the day,” she continued. I stood a few feet from the target and took a deep breath. With a quick glance at Blake, I took off, whenever I use my speed, everything just passes me in a blur, and I can’t see very well. I managed to hit the target, but Blake didn’t seem to care. “Again!” she snapped. I went back to the starting point and took off again, but this time my speed seemed different. Instead of everything being a blur, everything slowed down, except for me. I guess to everyone else, I was going fast, but to me I didn’t feel any difference in my speed. I shot at the target, and hit it. Then I stopped my speed and everything went back to normal. I looked at Blake and she was actually smiling. “Very well done, I couldn’t even see you moving, and I bet hitting the target was a lot easier,” Blake said. “Yeah, it was” I responded. “You can go find your friends now,” “Okay.” I started to walk out, but then stopped and turned around. “Thanks,” I said.

Chapter 9

After training we went to the girls bath house again, and washed off, then i went to see Tomboy, who said he had something for me during training.  I went to Tomboys room, (now know that Tomboy is only 19 so he’s in that punk teenage range) which was decorated with posters of women and rock bands. He came up to me, ‘’i believe THIS is what you were looking for?” he gave me a book, an instruction book about hekka, a 700 paged one. “Thanks.” I said to Tomboy as he smiled. “ heh, it's a long story on how i got it. It wasn't so hard once you think about it.” “Do you mind?” “Ok, it might sound crazy, but you couldn't blame me. I had just found out i was Hekka, so i tried to infiltrate the PMA’s main building. It was after my family died, i was eight. So i went into the building and i took out the cameras, and i blew up the door. Though, I was caught trying to get in. They tried to torture me, but, Jojo saved my life. She was also eight, but she had more experience with hekka, because she read the book before me. She had lost the book to the PMA and she watched me make a scene. So she snuck in to grab it too, but it was never there. It was in my parents house. So we went to my old house, and received the book with a note on it.” “What’d the note say?” I asked. “My dearest Son, take this book with you, we risked everything for your sake, take it with you on your own journey. And, maybe pass it on to your children. Stay alive and trust no one. Love, Mom and Dad.” “Omg, I- I, I'm sorry. That’s so sad.” i said. I looked at the ground. “It's ok, they did this for my own safety, and i'm gonna avenge them, even if I die too.” Tomboy looked into my eyes, the coldness of the letter flowing out, and gentleness and kindness flowing in, he’s such a father figure. He looked as if he were to do something, but stopped himself. He stood up, and walked away to talk to the girls. I never got her name, i think it's alice , or the Iguana’s name either, i think it might be inde. He talked with them and they kept looking from me, to saya, and Spade. They then walked out of the room, and disappeared down the hall. Saya came over to me and sat down. Spade followed. “What was that about?’’ asked spade with a childish tone, ‘’it’s a long story,’’ I replied to spade, ‘’any ways, Tahoe gave us some money to go into town and get some clothes,  so do you want to come with us?’’ saya said sweetly, ‘’hek yeah i do!’’ i screamed with excitement, ‘’but first let me put this away,’’ i said softly. I walked back to the room and put the book on my bed, planning to read it tonight. I started to walk out of the room, but then remembered what Tomboy had said about the PMA taking the book, and put the book under my bed instead. As i walked out of the room, i passed tomboy who was smiling at me, and i smiled in response, ‘’good girl.’’ he smiled with a chuckle, i laughed, i bet tomboy would be a great dad.  I finally met up with spade and saya, and we went into town. This part of town is so much nicer than my... old neighborhood.  The buildings were made of expensive wood and metal. As we walked we all seemed to be looking around. “This place is so different…” Spade said seeming lost in thought. “Yeah, it is,” Saya replied. We kept walking and finally reached a store Tahoe suggested. “Okay, Tahoe gave us $300, so we each get $100,” Saya said distributing the money. “Meet back here in an hour?” I asked. “Sounds good,” Spade said. We split up each going to our desired sections. I walked over to get some shirts. “This store is pretty cool,” I said to myself. 

About an hour later, we all met up at the entrance, each with a bag. “What’d you guys get?” Spade asked. “Everything was on sale so I got some sneaker boots, some nice black ripped jeans, training pants, T-shirts, and long stockings. I also got some of that candy that Tahoe said increases your magical abilities, i got a whole bag of it, and some pocky’s and lollipops, which are my favorite . oh and three packets of chicken flavored ramen noodles, which are also my favorite, i only have 5$ left. What did you guys get?’’ i finished, as saya started, ‘’i got some chicken breast, which are my fave, T-shirts, jean shorts, a nice hoody that was navy blue. And some combat boots, to match with jay.  What about you spade?’’ asked saya, spades clothes didn’t fit her well, so she had to buy clothes many sizes bigger than the ones she was wearing. “I got a few shirts, some capri jeggings, and a black denim jacket, plus I got many boxes of pockys and some mac and cheese. I never really wore shoes, so I’m not used to them and didn’t buy any,” Spade said. As she said it, I couldn’t help but look down to her feet. She wasn’t wearing shoes, but I had never really noticed. “When I ran away, I did have shoes, but I found out that they only thing that slowed me down whenever I used my speed, also I eventually outgrew them, but I only had money to buy little food and clothes,” she continued.  “Anyways, I’m hungry now, how much money do we have left?” Spade asked everyone. “I have $5,” I replied. “I have $10,” Saya said. “Okay, I have $15, so that brings our total to $30,” Spade said. “So, do we want to eat in town, or go back to the gang for lunch?” I asked. “I want to see the town, so let’s eat somewhere around here,” Saya replied. “Sounds good to me,” Spade added. With that we all walked out of the store and started looking for a good place for lunch.

Chapter 10

    “How about this place?” I asked pointing to an italian restaurant. “Sure,” jay and Spade said simultaneously. We all walked in and took a seat. The restaurant was buffet style, so we only had to pay for our trays and drinks. Each person had to pay $7 for a medium tray and a small drink. We each filled our trays with different types of italian foods. I got fettuccine alfredo and a lemonade, jay got a couple slices of pizza and a water, and Spade got pasta with red sauce and a soda. “Wow, this place is really good!” jay remarked. “Yeah, it is!” Spade said. As the two started to talk about their stories, I looked around the restaurant. In the corner, there was a group of friends who looked like they were a few years older than us. A few tables away, there was a family with two kids, a boy and a girl, who seemed to be complaining about eating their vegetables. I smiled to myself, the family reminded me of my own. Everyone else in the restaurant was either by themselves or with one other person, one person thought, looked particularly strange. They were in the corner closest to us and had their face mostly covered. They also had no food and just seemed to be watching us. “Guys,” I said cutting into Spade’s and jay’s conversation. “Yeah?” Spade asked. “That person in the corner, over there,” I said tilting my head over to the person. “He looks really suspicious, he doesn’t have any food, but he’s staring at us.” Both girls looked over to the person. “Oh no!” jay exclaimed. “That’s the policeman who led the attack on us!” “He was the one who beat me and left me to die!” Spade said, worry building in her voice. “Let’s just get the heck out of here!” I said. We all put our trays away, grabbed our bags, and briskly headed towards the door. We were just about to reach the door when the policeman got up and stood in front of the door. “You’re not going anywhere,” The policeman said. “Get out of the way,” I said. “We are a lot stronger than last you saw us,” jay added. “Arrogant, little kids!” the policeman yelled as he swung a punch at us. “Duck!” Spade yelled. At that moment everyone in the store seemed to notice what was going on and started to panic. The policeman seemed to be distracted by everyone freaking out and I took advantage of that, punching him and knocking him out cold. “Guys, grab on!” Spade yelled over the frightened crowd. “I’m gonna try and use my speed with you guys holding on!” jay and I each grabbed one of Spade’s arms and held on tight. Spade zoomed past the policeman and it seemed like it was only seconds until we reached the gang’s warehouse. “Woah, that was really cool!” I said, but jay and Spade seemed lost in thought. “What are we gonna do now?!” jay exclaimed. “We should probably tell Tahoe,” Spade responded. “But, won’t he be mad at us?” I asked. “I think Spade is right, if the PMA attacks us, the gang should be prepared,” jay said. “Okay, lets just do this together,” I said and with that, we all walked into the warehouse together.

“WHAT?!?” Tahoe screamed once we told him about what happened. “We’re really sorry, we just wanted to explore a little,” Spade explained. “We had no idea that the PMA knew where we were,” jay added. “No, it’s okay. It was stupid of me to send you guys into the town with the PMA hot on our trails,” Tahoe said, much calmer this time. “I’m only mad because now…the PMA…” he said as he walked out of the room. “What now?” I asked when Tahoe left. “Do you think the PMA knows about this place?” Spade asked us. “For all we know the PMA could know anything at this point,” jay said. “Oh no! The book..” jay said, running off in the direction of our room. Spade and I started to walk to our room when we heard shouts of “No!” coming from there. When we got to the room, jay was sitting on the floor, sobbing. “What happened?” I asked as Spade and I sat next to her. “The book!” jay wailed. “It’s gone! Tomboy’s gonna be so upset or mad or worse!” she continued. “Are you sure it’s gone? Maybe you misplaced it, or maybe Tomboy took it back?” Spade offered. “No, I specifically remember putting it under my bed, plus I checked the other beds and drawers already. And I’m sure if Tomboy took the book, he would have left a note or something,” jay explained. We all just sat in silence for a little while thinking to ourselves. “Okay, so the way I see it you have two options,” I said, disrupting the silence. “We can either lie about the book saying that you still have it, or we can tell him the truth, saying that we lost it,” I continued. “Let’s tell him,” jay replied immediately. “Let’s go,” she continued. “Right now?” Spade asked. “Yeah, I just want to get this over with,” jay replied. “Okay. Let’s go,” I said.

Chapter 12

Once we got to Tomboy’s room, I knocked on the door. “You guys can stay out here if you want, he gave the book to me, so it was my responsibility,” I said. “No, it wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t anyone’s fault,” Spade responded. “We’ll do this together,” Saya added. “Thanks guys.” Tomboy opened the door and seemed confused. “What’s up?” he asked us. “I - I mean - we, need to tell you something,” I said. “Okay, come in,” Tomboy said opening the door all the way. “Alright, what is it?” he asked once we all were in the room. “We’re really sorry, but we lost the book,” I blurted out. “We think the PMA stole it,” Spade added. “And we had no idea that the PMA would find us. Plus jay hid it, so it wasn’t her fault,” Saya continued. Tomboy was silent for a minute. “Are you mad?” I asked. “No, I should have known the PMA would have spies on you guys.” Tomboy said. “That book...it’s really special to me...but at least it will give us more of an incentive to take them down,” he said with a smile. “So, you’re not mad?” I asked. “I am upset, but not mad. Now, go back to your room so I can think,” Tomboy responded. We all walked out of his room and got back into our own. “That went better than I thought it would,” Saya said. “Yeah, it did,” Spade said. 

A few minutes later, Tahoe had called us all to the dining area. “What is this all about?” Blake said seemingly annoyed. “I was going to do some more training with Spade,” she continued glancing at Spade. Spade sighed, “She worked me pretty hard this morning, I thought that would be it for the day,” Spade whispered to us. “I wanted to hold this meeting because the PMA is on our tails,” Tahoe said. “WHAT?!? HOW?!?” Jojo yelled. “Shh, the PMA could be listening. Apparently, they have been following the girls ever since the policeman caught them,” Tahoe continued. “So it’s their fault,” the girls, Alice I think, accused. “No, it is no one’s fault, and if anyone’s fault, it’s mine. But it was the PMA who chased them here. It was the PMA who destroyed our families. And it is the PMA who we must take down,” Tahoe proceeded. “So what’s the plan?” Saya said curiosity flickering in her eyes. “I have a plan,” Tahoe said. “But will not say it right now, like I said, the PMA knows we’re here,” he continued, “Jojo, Blake, and Tomboy, please come here I need to discuss a few things with you. The rest of you, go back to your rooms and then come back here for dinner after the girls are done training.” We all got up and headed back to our rooms as Jojo, Blake, and Tomboy went to talk to Tahoe. Saya, Spade, and I went into our room and were silent for a while. Saya was sitting on her bed, just looking at her bed. Spade was staring out the window at all the trees outside. I was also sitting on my bed, but I was looking at the door, waiting for news. After what seemed like an eternity our teachers came to get us. “We are going to tell you guys the plan here, but promise you won’t say anything first,” Tomboy told us. “Okay,” we all said simultaneously. “Alright, so the plan is supposed to take place over a couple months. First we are going to have Spade and I will spy on the PMA’s main headquarters for one month. We are going to camp out there and come back with reports every Saturday evening, and then leave again every Monday at dawn,” Blake said. “We chose Spade for this because she has had the most experience as a spy out of everyone here, not just you girls. But during that time Saya and jay will be going into different towns, with supervision from Tahoe and some others, and, in disguise, they trying to find other Hekka and recruit them, we will need all the help we can get, ” Jojo explained. “Anyways, after that we will analyze the reports and determine the best time for an attack. After that, we are going to do very intense training, much harder than what you’re doing now,” Tomboy continued. “Then we will do practice procedures utilizing all your powers.” Blake added. “Then we will break into the PMA’s headquarters, and what we do there depends on the reports from Spade and Blake,” Jojo said. “We will have five people get the book, and we will have a five people observe over the whole mission. You girls will all be part of the group that gets the book,” Tomboy continued. “Then once we get the book a couple of you will give the book to one of the observers while the others will go to the central transmitter room and take down the transmitter,” Blake said. The rest of the plan was about taking down all the transmitters and about trying to find the main leader and taking him down. It seemed like a long shot, but everyone seemed to be confident, so I had hope. “Okay, we will answer questions in your training sessions, let’s go,” Jojo said once they were done telling us the plan. 

  Chapter 13 

(Spade)

    Once we were done training, I headed to the bath house where I met the other girls. “How was training?” I asked. “Good, but tiring,” jay responded. I was pretty beat myself. Why is blake so...so...hard headed. She barely gives me a break, and when she knows i'm tired, she tells me to get up again. Why couldn't she be mothering like jojo, or Tomboy. Anyways i got to the bath, yes, i finally had the confidence to show myself to saya, jay, i have full trust in them. After we bathed and i groomed myself, we got are Pj on, which were t-shirt and underwear, since we forgot to buy pajama pants but it's not like we were leaving our room any time soon.  It was time for bed, another day complete,we have been here for one whole week, and the plan will start 3 weeks from now. I need to quit the old gang, none of them treated me like jay and saya do. So i decided to send a letter to the gang, since we weren't allowed into town any more. The name of my old gang was ‘’raven blood’’ because most of the members were black animals, crows, honey badgers, jaguars, you name it.  ‘’Dear raven blood, i have decided to go down a different path, and join a new gang, it was nice working with you, but my time is done and i have found friends that can take care of me and love me, goodbye, maybe someday we'll cross paths, sincerely yours spade.’’ one week later i got a letter,’’farwell, we won't miss you, but, heres your last paycheck,’’ it was a  $100 pay check. Sweet! I split the money with jay so we could go buy some more books. We got a book on history, hoping to find some hekka facts. It was the weekend, and me and jay dressed up like it was summer, i had a white t-shirt on with a pair of black jeans that i borrowed from saya, while jay wore a wolf howling tank top, with a sports bra and jean shorts, we both were desperately reading the books, it was nice, we don't train on the weekends, but i felt that we were already for a fight if one came to be. me and jay were reading this big history book that we bought, i found 5 stereotypical facts about hekka, that just made me mad. 1. hekka are useless beings that are a mistake, 2.hekka are dangerous creatures, 3. hekka are monsters  4. hekka ‘s love to kill 5. All hekka need to die. ‘’Like what the fuck, i bet the PMA is just brainwashing the public so they just hate us?!’’ i screamed with sarcasme. 

 Chapter 14

                (Saya)

When jay and Spade got back from reading, they went to the dining hall, i slowly followed behind them, they spotted me, ‘’hey! Did you see this?!” screamed spade with anger.’’what?’’ i chuckled, she showed me the facts about hekka in the books that she bought. I was pissed off, my tale started to slash from side to side, and i look over a jay, she was pissed off too. “I don’t even get why the PMA hates us so much!” Spade said. “It’s so annoying how they’re saying this untrue shit about us!” jay screamed in anger. I. AM. PISSED. We went to Tahoe and showed him the facts, all he did was just sigh, ‘’well these aren't true, but-’’ i cut him off ‘’but what?! These fact aren’t true, period!’’ ‘’BUT, at least they give you guys motivation to prove the PMA wrong.’’ he chuckled, i don’t know how Tahoe puts up with our shit. He’s like a  wacky older brother of some sorts, we fight, and make up just like that, and then we laugh about it later.’’ well i guess when you put it that way.’’ jay started, ‘’it’s not that bad?’’ spade finished, ‘’i guess you're right Tahoe’’ i mumbled, i’m still angry tho. ‘’Well it’s time for lunch!’’ Tahoe said with a smile.  We had some mac and cheese with some cheese fries, i guess that the girl's pick for lunch since she seems very... cheesy! Hahaha, I crack myself up. Lunch was good. We went back to our rooms while everyone else talked about the plan. Spade and jay went back to reading the book, while i decided to take a nap.  When i woke up, jay and spade were getting dressed into PJ’s, when i checked the clock, it was 10:23 pm, i went down quickly to get a quick snack to replace dinner, i got some popcorn and brought it to our room,  when i got up to our room, jay and spade were done getting dressed, and we munched on the popcorn. Finally it was time for bed, we went to sleep.

    When i woke up, jay and spade were not in the room, they must be down stairs, and i was right, they were down stairs in the dining hall eating breakfast, they were eating french toast,which was jay and my fav treat, spade was talking to jay about breakfast as i joined in, ‘’how is it?’’ i asked, ‘’it’s good.’’ replied jay, ‘’good? It’s amazing!’’ spade laughed, just then tomboy walked in to the dining room, ‘’good i guess?’’ he smiled at spade,’’are you guys ready for another free day to yourself ?’’ Tomboy asked, ‘’sure.’’ jay replied, ‘’what can we do today, since we can’t go into town?’’ i asked, ‘’well anything really, jay you can try and find out what your hekka powers are, Saya you can socialize with jojo, and spade you can try and become closer to blake,’’ replied tomboy,  ‘’jay i know it's a sunday but do you mind training with me, i want you to find your power as quick as possible,’’ tomboy smiled at jay, ‘’sure’’ she replied, she got up and walked to tomboy and they smiled at eachother, those to are the best of friends.  I should probably go see jojo, and ‘’ socialize ’’ with her, which would probably lead to an intense workout, but i guess i'll give it a try, me, jay and tomboy left the dinning room, as spade finished up she trotted behind us. Tomboy, and jay were laughing with one another, at bad jokes they would cuckle, ‘’are you cool, case if you are, just sit in a corner, they're always...90 degrees!’’ laughed tomboy, ‘’ i guess your too...PUNNY’’ jay would laugh, i would chuckle from time to time, but really, im need to focus on what i should do with jojo.

 Chapter 14

                           (jay)

When me and tomboy got the training room, tomboy stopped laughing, and told me to stand next to the door. He stood in the middle of the training room, and started to frown, ‘’what is this tomboy?’’ i asked, ‘’are you ok?’’ suddenly he turned and pounced with a vicious snarl, i dogged it and then i felt a burning sensation in my heart and all of a sudden a blue, glowing, translucent  cat, 20 times my size, sood in front of me, protecting me and it was hissing at tomboy, who stood frozen with fear, and shock in his eyes.  He started to smile, ‘’wow…’’ he mumbled, just as the cat disappeared,  i was amazed ‘’o.m.g’’ i mumbled back, ‘’’so you can summon spirit animals, you must come from an advance family tree to do that’’ tomboy smiled,’’ what else can i do?’’ i asked, ‘’well, hekka summoners, can summon the dead, ancient spirits, and weapons at will. They also can control the elements. And then they have a few other powers, like speaking to the dead, and seeing the dead, and they can also see into the future but it takes one year to master each one of those powers, it’s amazing how you know how to summon animals without any experience.’’ he replied, ‘’cool, i guess, can i try and sommen something again?” i asked, ‘’sure, how about ...a...dog, a dog,’’ he replied, i got ready, and focused on a dog, then i helt that sensation in my heart and a huge blueish green dog appeared, except this time i was inside the dog, whenever i moved my hand, the dog moved his hand, i must be connected some how to it. Idk.  tomboy smiled at me, ‘’amazing’’ he repeated, as the dog vanished and i fell onto the floor, i got up and i was smiling, i was laughing,’’ i need to tell saya, and spade, they need to know this!” i laughed out loud, ‘’i’m so proud of you kid’’ smiled tomboy, ‘’what’s that on your back?’’ he asked, while  the back of my tank-top was glowing on the upper part of my back, one pair of  tattoo like wings appear on my back and stain my skina crisp white, and it felt like ice was being seared into my back, it was calm, and cooling, suddenly, the world...went...black

    When i woke up i was in my bed and it was sunset, great another day wasted. Tomboy was at the foot of my bed, asleep in a chair, i got out of bed and grabbed a pair of workout clothes and went down stairs. I went to the bath house and got dressed. Then i went to one of the training rooms, i saw that tomboy had left out some of the equipment, so i decide to do a little bit more training, i started with the punching bag, i punched and punched, letting all my anger out on it, it fell to the ground and ripped open with a bunch of small beads falling out of it, just then tomboy walk in rubbing his eyes, ‘’kid.’’ he chuckle quietly, ‘’what are you doing’’ he chuckled again, i just stood there in silence, he just looked at me and just knew what i was thinking, he got this target out and put 30 feet away from me,’’ shoot it.’’ he smiled with a cheeky tone, ‘’what?’’ i asked sternly, ‘’shoot...it !’’ he repeated, by then i got the idea, he wanted me to try and summon a weapon i focused on a gun, any kind of gun really, i just wanted to wipe that smirk of his face, it irritated me, suddenly, a piston drops from the sky right into my hands, it was white and pink, with a interlacing of black, and i pulled out one of the bullets, and it was piercing blue, i put it back in, took ame, like i did in my mothers backyard, i reimagined the backyard at my mothers house, and the target turned into one of the bottles that i shot, i could hear my heartbeat, then i could hear my breath. I stopped breathing and...shot the bottle. When I came back from the day dream i had shot the target bullet. ‘’Good girl.’’ he chuckled, as we left the training room,’’ how about we take the day off tomorrow?’’ asked tomboy, ‘’sure, i guess.’’ i replied...i guess i'm stronger then i think. I walked with tomboy up to his room, ‘’tomboy…’’ i mumbled, ‘’hmm’’ he said in return, ‘’do you wanna be a father?’’ i asked, tomboy who started to blush,’’um...why do you ask k-kid” he asked, ‘’cause you're like a father to me, you protect me and rase me up when i feel down, and you give me attention, plus you treat me like i'm your’s and only your’s, like a child.’’ I answered, as we got to tomboys room. ‘’ i guess i am like your father?’’he questioned, ‘’well good night tomboy’’ i said softly, like soothing a baby, ‘’good night kid’’ he said with an awkward smile as he waved at me.  I got into the room and spade and saya were awake watching TV on a television that Tahoe put in are room. ‘’Hi guys, i got something to tell you…’’

Chapter 15

                 (Spade)

jay explained every thing, what power she has, how she can summon stuff, and how she has a pair of wings on her back that stained her skin black, ‘’that's amazing!’’screamed saya and me. “So what have you guys been up to all day?” jay asked. “Well i tried to get closer too blake, but she just wanted to train. Anyways, i ended up doing some training, but then Blake told me why she pushed me so hard, and we ended up a lot closer,” i responded. “That's great, what about you saya?” jay said. “Well jojo was out so i just hung out with spade for a while, but then went and trained a little by myself. Tahoe came in and we chatted for a while, but then spade and i just came back here,” saya replied. “Cool,” jay responded. After a while we all went down to dinner together. Today it was mashed potatoes and soup. I had just gotten my food and sat down with jay and saya when blake came up and asked to see me. “It will only take a minute,” she said. “Okay,” i said. We walked out of the dining room and stood outside the doorway. “What is it?” i asked blake. “We need to speed up your training, the PMA is super close to finding us, so we need to start the plan soon,” she responded. “When?” i asked. “Within a couple weeks or so. But anyways, you can go back to your dinner now,” blake said. I walked back to my seat and continued to eat my potatoes. “So what was that all about?” jay asked. “Well apparently i have to leave for the plan in a couple weeks,” i replied. ‘’What really?!’’ yelled jay and saya, ‘’really…’’ i said with an awkward smile, i'm just too tired to care. The plan required me to be away from my friends for a long time, which i guess i was okay with, i mean i had lived alone in the forest all my life. I guess actually making real friends changed me, made me softer, but i think it was for the better. I am much more powerful now than i was before. After dinner, we went to bed. jay and saya stayed up talking for a while, but i fell asleep almost as soon as my face hit my bed.

The next day i woke up bright and early. Saya and jay were still asleep as i got up and checked the time. 4:30 am. I figured that i should just stay up, so i got dressed in a pair of black sport shorts and a purple tank top. I headed down to the training room with all the targets and turned the lights on. I shot at them and got every one, so I decided to try it in the dark. I turned off the lights and tried to see. I figured if i was going to be a spy, i would have to do some work in the dark. After a few attempts of shooting the targets, i decided to just try to navigate in the dark. Thanks to my genetics i could partially see in the dark, its was like a dim light shined over the shadows, but i still had trouble, so i let my eyes adjust to the darkness, suddenly the light switched turned on, and the the room went white. I squinted my eyes at the brightness, ‘’h-hello?’’ i asked, ‘’spade? Is that you?’’ asked a thick, old voice  ‘’blake?’’ i asked, ‘’yes?’’ the voice said as my eyes got use to the light, suddenly blake appeared, ‘’what are you doing down here spade?’’ she asked, ‘’training…’’ i said as i rolled my eyes. blake put a hand on her hip that carried her jeans  that were torn, and let her other hand lay on her other hip, ‘’oh, kid, what am i going to do with you?’’ she said with a molasses tone, as she put one of her hands on her face, i just sat there in irritation. She told me to come with her to the front porch, ‘’ what is this?! Another exercise?’’ i said as sarcastically as i could, ‘’no, i just want to talk with you’’ as she tied her bandanna that wrapped around her hair, which was long slender black feathers. She took me to the front porch, she left for a moment to grab some orange sweet tea. ‘’ so what did you wanna talk to me about?’’ i asked as the sun rose in the distance, and the coldness of the night swept away. Blake walked out of the door with two cups of orange sweet tea. ‘’ i wanted to ask how your day was yesterday, that’s it, nothing harsh.’’ she soothed with a sweet tone, ‘’o...k..?’’i said with a puzzled look.  ‘’ so how was it?’’ she asked, ok, i guess, i mean after training with you i went to the bath house and cleaned up, then ate dinner then went to bed, and well whatever.’’ i said with a sarcastic tone, ‘’ well that seems nice, ‘’she soothed nicely, what is this, she’s not this nice, what the hell!? After a while i couldn’t take it anymore. “why’d you call me here?” i blurted out. “Well, i mean... after telling you that we would leave...i just wanted to make sure you were okay,” blake said. “Oh well, i'm doing fine, it just needed to sink in a little and it has now. Anyways, i should probably go to breakfast now.” i said getting up. The thing is though, i didn't know if i was really fine or just saying that. Was i okay? Or am I just scared for the mission ahead?

Chapter 16

(Saya)

When i woke up, spade wasn’t in her bed. I started to get panicky, maybe she had already left for the plan and didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. “jay wake up!” i yelled just as spade walked into the room. “What?” jay said annoyed. “Never mind…”i said a little embarrassed . “Saya what the hell is with you?” jay said with an angry tone, “ calm down.” I smiled and rolled my eyes at her, she got out of bed and closed the door, and got dressed, she put on an black t-shirt with a pair of black ripped jeans, and her combat boots, I got up and got dressed too with some jeans and and blue tank top. We walked out with spade, and went down to the dining hall, where we found Blake drinking her morning coffee. Tahoe walked in passed us, with a load of papers and with a worried look on his face. We had cereal for breakfast, with toast and butter. Suddenly, Tahoe interrupted me, spade, and jay's conversation.”guess I need to tell you something, we might have to speed up the plan to the end of the week, because a neighboring gang of ours had just been killed last night.” Tahoe said sternly. “ w-what really?!” I stuttered, as we jumped out of chairs, “tahoe, are you for real right now?” Asked spade, “ for real…” He said with an awkward face. Suddenly jay asked, “ when will me and saya’s part in the plan with take place?” “Tomorrow, so I recommend that you train with only your powers, so you can get use to them, ok?” Tahoe explained, as we finished  our breakfast. Tomboy and jojo came into the dining hall, I walked up to jojo,  and she already knew what I was going to tell her, so she took my wrist and pulled me over to the training room, jojo brought out the hologram Machine, and programmed it to produce policeman again.  “Ready?” Jojo asked, as the machine produced the policeman, “ready!” I screamed at jojo…

After training, I had a few cuts and bruises but I'll just ask jay to heal them. I left the training room, and went to jay training room. When I got there, a huge cat, was standing over jay, and was fighting tomboy. “Amazing.” I whispered  through all of the commotion. Tomboy had a shotgun in his hands, while jay had a pistol in her hand. The both looked at me, the big cat that was protesting jay dissolved right in front of me. Tomboy put his gun away and jay through the weapon up in the air, it didn't come back down, it dissolved. “Hey, do you mind healing my  wounds?” I asked, “sure” jay smiled.  

After jay healed my wounds, me and her went to the bath house, where we met up with spade. After the regular show and all that, we went up stairs, I'm so bored now that we can't go into town. I headed back to the training room and started putting every ounce of training in me, to destroy a punching bag. I set up the red and white striped bag in the center of the room, closed the door and put on my favorite fingerless gloves. I punched the center, kicked the side, spun around and shot at it with fire. Jojo walked in as i shot the bag another time. “Saya,” she said with a serious face. “Yeah jojo?” I replied. Jojo grinned, and drew a machete. She charged me and swung the machete up to slice in a downward  motion. “What the hell?!” I yelled surprised as I dodged her attack. She ran at me again and i shoulder rolled out of the way. Wrong move. I ended up in the corner of the room. Jojo was right in front of me. She raised the machete, a giant grin, and wild eyes. She slashed it down on top of me. Instinct took over and I slammed my hands together and broke the sword. Jojo was utterly surprised, but she took out steel knuckled gloves and started throwing punches at me. I dodge every one of them, finally jojo throwed the steel knuckled gloves away, and gave up. “What was that all about?!” I scolded at her, “ a quick warm up, now let's get started,” she said as she grabbed 10 steel balls, she throw one at me, I grabbed it, and crushed it...I don't know how or why but I crushed it. She kept throwing them at me and i kept crushing them. After what seemed like an eternity, she stopped. “Good job,” she said walking out of the room. As soon as she left, I collapsed on the floor. Why was she working me this hard? I get that i need to be in top form, but she could have killed me! After about five minutes, I found strength to get up and find my friends. I left the training room and went into our room, jay and spade were there, “what happened to you?” Asked jay with a worried face,”jojo, that’s what.” I frowned, as Spade ran out of the room. She came back in with an ice pack, she gave it to jay, who then put the packet on my forehead, then she told me to get dressed into a towel,I did as she said, as soon as I did, I felt pain on my right wrist, there was a cut. I looked over my whole body while I was in the bathroom alone, I found a thin cut down my leg, and bruises all over my hands and wrists, I got out the bathroom, to find jay standing right in front of me, she grabbed my arm gently, as her eyes started to glow a light green, she was healing me, I need to ask her how to heal, so if she ever got hurt I could heal her. As she finished up the healing process, I looked at her, but she seemed to focused to notice that I was looking at her. After she finished we all stayed silent, we all knew that all of us were tired, my head hit the pillow, I was facing jay who was looking at me, “you ok?” I whisper to her, she nodded, “ I'm fine just scared, what if we never see spade again, what if the Mission fails, what if-” she stopped and started to cry, I told her that everyone was going to be alright. I mean I was pretty nervous myself for tomorrow, which would be the day that spade leaves, and we would go into an abandoned part of town to find other hekka. Tomorrow Is going to be a Monday, but I already wish it was Friday. I finally went to sleep, as the room went dark.

Chapter 17

                  (jay)

I was the first to wake up, I felt like huge waves of sleepiness were pounding against me. I got out of bed, I was too tired to get dressed, I stumble out the door, I was sore from training yesterday,since spade was leaving today, I was so stressed so I decided to grab a snack. Spade was waiting in the room and walked over to me. “I don’t want to leave,” she started. “And i want to be able to protect you guys and help you on your part of the mission.”....”spade, if you wanna help us then you need to go to this mission, I know I might sound harsh but it's for the best,” I finished. She nodded and gave me a hug, and then we went to wake up saya, who was already up, we all went to the dining hall to pig out on waffles and Nutella, with milk.  After we finished we went into our room, knowing that it would be the last morning we would spend with one another for a long time. We read our book for the last time, trying to make memories while they lasted. We read for a while before Blake walked into the room, she didn't say anything, but we knew spade had to leave.  

As spade walked out the front door, I started to tear up, I didn't want her to leave, but…it's for the best, if it take down our demons then we need to do this. I wiped my tears before they ran down my cheeks, and said good bye to spade followed by a hug. Saya did the same, as spade and Blake walked out of the door and down the hill that the warehouse sat on. I sat on the porch looking out on the small forest that stood by the sun rising, wishing that spade would come back soon. I went back into the warehouse, with saya following me inside. “So, what next” I said. “Well, you know our mission starts tomorrow.” Saya replied. To be quite honest I was kinda excited for my first mission. I went to tomboy for some one on one training time to better prepare myself for the mission. 

After training me and tomboy went to saya’s training room, where jojo was having her practice shooting at targets with her powers. After a few minutes, jojo had saya stop. “Hey” i said calmly with a smile on my face, as saya huffed and puffed, “that… was… tiring… “ she said under her breath, tomboy bro hugged jojo, those two are best friends for sure. “Let’s go wash off,” i suggested to saya.  We walked out of the training room and went to the bath house, it didn't feel the same without spade though… it had only been a few hours since we last saw her, I still missed her. I couldn’t wait for Saturday, when Spade would come home for a day, but it was only Monday. We washed off, I looked at saya as we walked out of the bath house only in towels, we went up to our room and got dressed.  It was 5:34 when I checked the clock, it was dinner time… as me and Saya trotted down the stairs we found tahoe talking to tomboy about us going out into the town. “What if they don't find any survivors? Or they get caught?” we heard tomboy ask with a sharp tone. “They should be fine, we have trained them to the best of their abilities and some of us are going as well,” Tahoe crooked softly, we walked past them and into the dining hall, they stopped talking and just looked at us. We continued to walk past them, pretending that we didn’t hear anything, and luckily, they didn’t say anything.

Saya and I sat down at dinner just as tahoe got up to say something. “I have decided who will accompany Saya and jay to the town for our mission,” Tahoe announced. “Oh boy, I hope that we don’t take jojo…” Saya whispered to me. “Yeah, and hopefully we take tomboy, he’s such a good supporter,” I said. “We will be taking two others besides me,” Tahoe continued. “We are taking Alice and Jojo.” As soon as Tahoe said it, saya inhaled sharply. “She pressures me so much, the only thing keeping me going was that I might have been away from her for a few hours each day, but now…” saya said with disappointment in her voice, as we finished our dinner.  After dinner we went up to our room, I thought it would be better for me to go to bed early tonight for the mission tomorrow, i got dressed into a hoodie and underwear . I looked over at Saya who was already fast asleep. I hope she was going to be okay, we both really missed Spade already and I knew how much Saya disliked Jojo. Hopefully Jojo wouldn’t be too mean to Saya when we go on the mission.

Chapter  18

(Spade)

The forest was not what I remembered it being. Now it was all dark and cold, not active and comforting like it was when I lived here. Blake and I trudged along in the dark forest trying to find the facility. “Do you remember where it was?” Blake questioned me about the facility. “Not exactly, but I think it was in the direction of the town, which is South,” I answered slightly unsure of myself. “Well, since we don’t know where it is, and we have a lot of time, we can start searching South.” “Okay,” I said turning South. We walked for a while, watching the sun slowly set through the trees. After what seemed like forever, we finally made it to the big building with the disguise of a storage facility. “So what now?” I asked. “Now, we set up a small camp, and rest,” Blake said seeming slightly annoyed. I guess it was just because she was tired. Blake had a tent in her backpack, but I didn’t think that it would be hidden enough. “Are you sure that that's going to be hidden enough?” I wondered. “It’s all we’ve got, so it has to be,” Blake remarked. “Well, I can try to make a fort out of materials here,” I offered. “I don’t know, I’ll set this up, but feel free to make a fort,” Blake said. I shrugged and started to grab materials. I climbed up one of the trees that had a good view of the facility, and started to look for materials. I found a big pile of of long slender sticks, perfect. I went down to grab them for the tree fort.  I grabbed two big logs that were five inches thick and carried them back to the tree. I started to build structures that formed “walls”. After I did that, I added extra leaves and branches to have it blend in better. Blake was finished with her tent by now, and just stared in amazement at me, ”you're in my world now bitch,” I laugh at her with a smile, as she sighed and went to her tent with her arms crossed.  I finished and decided to say sorry to Blake by getting her some grub, so I went out into the forest, and found a  few small dead mice and birds, I brought them back, as I saw blake making a big bon fire, I screamed at her to put it out, but she refused, she's so stupid, that fire will give us away, I ran around the fire as fast as I could, cutting of any air circulating to the fire until it went out. “WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!?” Blake screamed at me. “Shhhh!” I said back to her. “Fire will give us away, so will screaming.” Blake just stood there, with a plain look on her face. “Haven’t you ever done something like this before?” I asked blake annoyed. Blake didn’t respond, so I just gave up. I climbed up my tree and looked in the direction of my older fort. It wasn’t that far from where I was now, maybe I could grab some materials from there to help with the mission. I decided I would go, so I climbed down the tree. Blake was already in her tent and she seemed to be asleep. I turned invisible just in case there were people in the forest and took off using my speed towards my old home.

I reached my old fort in only minutes. I turned off my invisibility and started to look around. I remember having an old pair of binoculars that I found when I was about eleven. They were right where I left them, so I picked them up along with a few other things, turned my invisibility back on, and headed back to Blake and my’s camp.

When I got back, it was only 11 pm, so I climbed up my tree and went to sleep.   The night was cold and restless, I barely got any sleep, but it was better than being spotted, I tried to stay warm but I just gave up, and tried to tough it out. 

When it was morning, and the birds chirping, and the morning due, was running down a leaf and got me right in the eye, which woke me up. I left the fort and went over to blake's tent, Blake was snoring, I kick her tent which woke her up, “HEY!” she screeched. “WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?” “The government. They are always up, we need to start.” “Well you can, but I don’t think that we both need to at the same time. I only came to keep you out of trouble.” “What are you saying?” “I’m saying that I’m going back to sleep,” Blake said going back into her tent. What was her problem? Whatever, I could do this on my own. I don’t know why Tahoe made her come in the first place, I’ve been doing this type of stuff my entire life, Blake was just a bother. I climbed up the tree and looked through my binoculars. Luckily, where we were, there were a few windows, so I looked through all of them. 

After a few hours, I gave up, I wasn’t getting anything. By this time Blake was up and was just staring at me. I would ask her about how we could better spy on the PMA, but I was still mad at her, and I think she was also still mad at me. I lay down for a while looking up into the sky, this would be so much easier by myself or with my friends, but that wasn’t going to happen. Suddenly, I had an idea, I could try to somehow get the security footage in the facility to come here, I would need a computer though. I figured that I could get one from the town, but it would have to be at night, so Blake wouldn’t follow me and slow me down. But for now let's find some info, I don't want to waste any time, I saw an outer air vent on the side of the building, I told Blake about it, she gave me a recorder and a camera with no flash, and told me to do it on my own this day 

and she would do the same tomorrow, yeah right.  I turned invisible and ran towards the building, when I turned the Corner there were two male dogs, one pit bull around 6’7 feet tall and a bull dog about 5’1 feet tall, both had strikingly deep scars on their faces, I think the pit bull is blind in his right eye.  I quietly walked past them, and saw that there was a Ladder that  led to the roof, I climbed up the ladder and jumped onto the roof, I found three vents one that leads to the main part of the building two lead god knows where. I jumped down the left one and quickly prayed that it was the right one, thankfully it was. I landed in an ari vet no bigger than a tire, I crawled through the vents on my hands and knees, finally I got to one of the rooms,it had boxes in it and a door that lead to the outside, three policeman walked in through those doors with a couple of boxes, they then proceeded to throw the box onto the ground and left through the door,  I looked at the box that opened up when it hit the ground and it had a dead body in it, it was freshly killed too. I gagged and pulled out the camera and stamped a photo of the dead body. The policeman came back through the doors, “good thing we got the body's out of that house before anything got suspicious,” One of the policeman laughed. I took out the recorder and started to record what they were saying. “No kidding Bob, those dam hekka, always ruining the city with their destructive ways. Boy the boss knows what he's doing alright” said one of the policeman.”what's the plan again?” One ask, “damit Jeffery!” one screamed,” the plain is we send spies out to spy on suspicious families, and when the confirm that the family is hekka, they kill them. Then we clean up the crime scene and take the body's for studying. But the rest is up to the other parts of PMA,” one barked proudly, I've heard enough, I crawled out of the vents and back to Blake, I told her everything.

Chapter 19

(Saya)

Finally it's Wednesday, the day of the mission. I woke up I went over to jay and woke her up. We both trotted to the bath house and took long steamy showers, before we went down to breakfast, we had toast. Then we went into the training rooms to grab some weapons, I grabbed a bow and some arrows with some rope. jay summoned two twin pistols, then we met up with Tahoe, Jojo, and Alice. We went to the warehouses garage, which held a few cars and some old looking tools. There was a jeep and Tahoe gestured for us to get in. we all piled in, Tahoe at the driver's seat with Jojo in the passenger’s seat. Alice, jay, and I squeezed together in the backseat.

The drive to the town seemed to take a long time. No one was talking and I was kinda nervous. The PMA was so dangerous, if they were to catch one of us, then we would all go down, and then they would kill us… “okay, we’re in the town now,” Tahoe said once we were in an abandoned outdoor shopping area that look like a scene from a zombie movie . “I'm gonna park in the bushes, so that we are hidden,” he continued. As we got out of the car we heard gunshots in the background, jay took a fighting stance and pulled out her guns. I pulled out the bow and arrow. Tahoe whispered to us to go in groups of two, jojo would go with jay, Tahoe would go with me and Alice would go alone. Tahoe and I went to the west part of the town. We walked for awhile, but for some reason it felt like forever getting to that part of the small town.  Once we arrived we felt the heavy smoke smother our lungs, I coughed, after that, we went into what looked to be a shopping mall, but the the walls we're crumbling and smoke ran through the building. As Tahoe and I entered, I had the strangest feel that we were being watched, I got a chill down my spine, which caused me to freeze up, and i twitched. We walk through the mall, suddenly,Tahoe stopped me with his arm. He pulled out his shotgun, I stayed silent and...then...I heard it...footsteps...coming...RIGHT FOR US?! Suddenly my marks started to glow,  I jumped as somebody ran right past me. I called jay, next thing I knew there was this kid standing in front of us, his eyes were a hypnotising shade of smoky orange against his grey black hair. His eyes were large spheres, and he was quite muscular but he still had a skinny body, he looked starving. 

“We're not here to hurt you, we just want to ask you some questions,” I said calmly, he stiffened and just looked at me. 

“Are you with the PMA, how can I trust you?” We said at the same time, we both started to laugh, then he stopped, looked at my markings and smiled at me, I saw that he had a orange stripe right under each of his eyes, he's hekka, ”where's your family kid?” Tahoe asked, “don't have one, Old Man. My family was killed 6 months ago because of these strange powers I have.” He barked at Tahoe, 

“ my family was killed too,” I told him,”I'm...sorry for your loss, but I need to find the twins before the kill anyone of your friends.”he said calmly “How did you know we had our gang come?” Tahoe questioned, “me and my bros saw you enter. By the way we killed the  weird girl by accident, sorry?” He smiled at us, I didn't Even know her, so I wasn't to devastated. “You should join our gang, we have a plan to take down the PMA, we could use all the help we could get.” I said with a smile, “ you know dollface,  I'll do it just for you,” he smiled at me while caressing my cheek, I grabbed his hand and pulled it away from me but he grab my hand in response and kiss my knuckle, I pulled my hand away and told him to help us find everyone else. 

“Also what's your name” I asked, 

”gray” he said in response. We walked out together, “The twins should be on the other side of the town probably trying to fight your friends, but I'll call them off,” he said calmly.

We walked to the other side of town, where jay and Jojo were. There were two other kids there too, both were males,  probably the twins, but instead of fighting they were all standing around in a circle talking, with jay standing close to the taller one who was about 6’1” and had piercings blue eyes and a mousy Gray tint to his fur.  We walked closer to their circle and jay spoke up when she saw us first. “Hey guys,” she said. “Who’s this?” Jojo asked gesturing to gray. “That’s our friend, Gray,” the shorter twin said. He was about 5’7” and had the same blue eyes as his brother, but with less gray and he had brown hair and tanned skin.  “Oh, and I’m Coby and that’s my twin, Alpha,” the shorter, well Coby, continued. “I’m saya,” I said. “And I’m jay,” jay said talking to Gray, since Alpha and Coby already seemed to know her name. We finished the introductions and then started to explain to each other why we were all here. Turns out that Coby’s and Alpha’s family were also killed along with Gray’s and they had all been friends and had a small three person gang since then. Before I knew it, darkness was starting to creep in. “We should go now,” Tahoe said. “Hey why don’t you three come with us and join our gang?” I asked, they hesitated, then they looked at each other and nodded “Sure,” Alpha responded. 

The ride home was sort of weird at first, since there wasn’t too much space and jay and I had to squeeze in the back with the three guys, but jay and Alpha seemed to be having a great time together, so I just accepted it after a while. 

Once we got to the warehouse, we all got out. The boys were directed to a room across the hall from ours. jay and I decided to give them a welcome present, jay made fried cinnamon apples. Once she finished, we walked across the hall and knocked on their door. “Oh, hey,” Gray said opening the door. “We made these for you guys,” jay said gesturing to the food on the tray in her hands. “Cool, thanks,” Alpha said walking over and picking up one for himself and one for his little brother. Gray also picked one up and bit into it. It was then I noticed that gray was staring at me and I was feeling a little uncomfortable. I turned away and walked over to jay. “So how are you guys feeling about this place so far?” i asked, “it's fine, just I wish I could spend more time with jay.” Alpha said while caressing Jay’s cheek, her eyes turn big and she started to blush, “I-I have to go!” She stammered as she speed walked out of the room. I followed her into our room and closed the door finding her sitting on her bed. “Whats going on with you and Alpha?” I asked her gently. “I-I don’t know,” jay responded.  

Chapter 20

                (jay)

When morning came I smelled something, it smelled like home, I was smothered in the smell it was like fresh cooked bread or like a warm summer's day. I tried to get out of bed but something held me down, I pulled the covers to see my legs and lower torsos, but instead I saw alpha hugging me in his sleep, “eeeeeeek!” I screamed.  alpha was clinging to me. Saya came over, just stared at me and alpha.”aww, you too are soooo cute together!” Saya laughed as alpha woke up, “Saya, what the hell!” I screamed at her in anger, “w-what” alpha said while looking up, “ you - you pervert!” I screamed with a high pitched tone. “J-J-Jay, I-I’m sorry, it’s just I sleepwalk. Yes sleepwalk, um, uh never mind,” Alpha said was he walked away back into his room. “What just happened?” Saya asked me once Alpha left. “I honestly don’t know,” I responded sitting back down on my bed. “jay?” Saya asked. “What?” “Is there… anything going on between you and Alpha?” Saya asked innocently. “No! I don’t know!?” I responded “You should talk to him,” Saya offered. “Yeah, i should,” I said. “But what about you and Gray? You two couldn’t stop staring at each other yesterday.” Saya looked away. “You just HAVE to assume we were all lovey-dovey?” Saya said while she pulled up her sheets. I started to laugh. I then remembered it was Wednesday, Spade won't come back till Saturday. Well shit. I got out of bed, I started to smell that scent again, I followed it, it lead to the boys room, were coby, alpha, and gray sleep. I knocked on the door, gray walked out in pajama pants and a tank top. “ I'm sorry to intrude but there was this scent and I just wanted to figure out what it was and-” I said, as Gray interrupted me, “say no more, it's probably alpha,  he's on the terrace.” He finished with a smile. I went into the boy's room, the boys didn't have many clothes, so the room was pretty clean.  I saw alpha on the terrace, as the sent got stronger, I hugged him from behind, he jumped a little then calmed down when he saw that it was me. I was smothered in that scent of happiness, it reminded me of mom. I started to cry, Alpha (who was shirtless) turned around and wiped my tears with his fingers and gave me a hug. “I’m sorry, I know something is wrong,  but… I don't know what,” he told me as I started to sob. I explained everything to him, how I got here, where my older sister was, and how my family died. He held me in his arms, he's so muscular. My legs got weak and started to shake. As I tried to walk back to my room I fell on to the floor wheezing and coughing, I was out of breath. I started to cry. I couldn't get up. Alpha ran over to me and carried me in his arms. He ran down stairs and got me to Tahoe...everything...went...black...is this...how I die? From a broken heart?... 

When I came too, alpha was sitting in a chair next to me, we were in my room. I had a breather on my mouth, I looked around, and saw that the sun was just starting to set. Alpha was asleep on the chair and I called to him. He woke up and saw me, he took the breather off my face. “What happened?” I wheezed “you had a panic attack from all of the stress you had gone through” he responded, I just looked at him. He had beautiful eyes, and he wore his beanie hat, it's the same one as the day we met. He saved my life, Anyways, I got out of bed and fell right onto the ground. Alpha rushed to my side immediately. “Are you okay? You should probably stay in bed for a little bit,” he said picking me up and putting me back on the bed. He sat down next to where I was lying down and gently stroked my hair. “W-where are the others?” I asked starting to lose my breath. “They went for the mission, but don’t worry, Coby and Gray are with them,” Alpha responded. We just sat there for a while before I realized that I was hungry. “Alpha?” I whispered. “Yes?” “Can we go down and get some food?” “Sure, do you think you can walk?” I nodded and let him help me out of bed. We carefully made our way to the dining area before I collapsed into a seat. “Are you sure you’re okay?” Alpha asked. “Yeah,” I responded. “Just really tired.” “Okay, I’ll go get some food, what would you like?” I responded with ramen noodles, my favorite. Within a few minutes he had brought back a cup of ramen noodles for me, along with some pasta for himself. We sat down and ate together, not the most romantic of places to be while eating dinner with a really hot guy, but it will do.  As we ate together we chatted about the time we first met, even though it wasn't that long ago, i remember it like it was yesterday, (cause it was). Jojo and I were roaming the streets. Jojo said that we should split up, and we did. I went down south and didn't notice the classic rope trap, (where you walk over and trip a rope and it sets off a trap) as arrows started to shoot at me, i dodged as many as i could, but suddenly, someone pulled me out of the way.  When all the commotion stopped and i was safe. The person who save my life tripped while i was still in there arms. We fell on top of one another, and then i saw him, he was standing over me with his grayish brown hair and his cute little beanie hat, and his clear blue eyes, he wore ripped skinny jean, blue flannel, and sneakers. Just then his little brother showed up and asked us what we were doing. I explained to him every thing, sooner or later jojo showed up and started to talk with the boys, and the rest is history.’’ Ahh, good times.’’ I sighed as alpha started to laughed, he had a nice smile, it was as cute as seeing a baby’s smiling for the first time. It made me laugh to see him so happy. After we finished eating, I had gained enough strength to walk back to my room and get dressed into pajamas. When I was done, I called alpha into my room to watch some movies. He came and sat down on my bed as I put the movie in. I sat down close to Alpha and he wrapped his arm around me. Once the movie was over we made small talk before eventually falling asleep, not even noticing that the others weren’t even back yet.

Chapter 21

(Spade)

    I woke up just as the sun was starting to rise. It was Friday, so tomorrow we would finally go back to the warehouse. It was driving me insane, I needed to know that they were okay and safe. I was being overtaken by worry as I started to fear the worst, but I quickly pushed those thoughts aside. My friends had amazing powers, and they had Tahoe and the others to guide them. “They’re gonna be fine,” I whispered to myself only half believing it. 

    I turned over and looked at Blake’s tent. She went out yesterday and I fell asleep before she got back, but judging by the rustling of the tent, I figured she was back and was asleep. I sat up from where I was lying down and looked up at the sky. Since the sun was only just starting to rise, it was still fairly dark, so I could still see a few stars. I lied back down, suddenly feeling very lonely. I really did miss my friends. I sighed and realized that silent tears were running down my face. I wiped them away quickly. Why was I even crying? I wasn’t that sad was I?

    The sun came fully up a few hours later, so I climbed down and went over to shake Blake’s tent to wake her. She popped her head out and actually smiled at me. I was very confused and it probably showed on my face because she started to laugh. She lifted her tent flap and I saw that there was a computer in her tent ,then  I took a wire and then I attached it to the computer then I found a camera on the side of the building, I turned on my invisibility, went into the building and entered the security room( which had all the cameras info). I connected the cameras info to the computer outside. After that, I ran back to Blake, and turned off my invisibility. When I got back to the computer, 7 screens showed up on the one big screen… “YES!” Blake said as she fist bumped me, I was so excited, we were getting somewhere, and tomorrow I get to see my friends and see if we have any new members.

That night me and Blake save the data so that we could see everything without the cord that would probably give us away.

We started to walk back to the warehouse, once we got back I was greeted by jay and saya, along with three new members, “spade! This is alpha, gray, and coby” jay said while pointing to the boys, all of them were nice, except coby, he was...different...he had dark brown hair, he had silver eyes, he was slightly darker in skin color than his brother, alpha, who was paler. Coby wore a dark red v-neck t-shirt, with baggy jeans that obviously didn't fit him, but whatever… He was sweet and all, and he was about the same hight as me, which i kinda noticed right off the bat, other than that he had brown stripes all over his body that looked like tiger markings so i guess his hekka marking wasn't too obvious. I grabbed my stuff and put it up in my old room, jay and saya came in, jay hugged me and said that dinner was ready down stairs, we soon went thumping down the stairs, and into the kitchen, where we meet up with the boys, coby saved a bowl of pumpkin soup for me, ‘’h-here you g-go…’’ he said while smiling at me with anxiety in his eyes. ‘’T-thanks’’ i said. Suddenly, jay jumped onto one the table she was eating at, ‘’every one, i have an nouncement to make!’’ she started, ‘’ my birthday is tomorrow!’’ she announced as everyone started to cheer, she'll be turning 14, and my birthday is in 3 weeks from now, I'll be turning 14 just like jay. Suddenly, tomboy had an nouncement to make too, “ started tomorrow alpha and jay will be training with me, gray will train with Saya and jojo, and coby will train with spade and Blake, also since every hekka can shape shift into one animal only, we will try to see what everyone's animal is!” He said proudly, every one started to cheer, I was laughing when I overheard jays and alphas conversation, “jay, sorry about this morning, I can't wait to train with you.” Alpha said sweetly, as he took Jays hand and kissed it as a sign of gratitude towards her, she smiled at him, she then kissed him on his forehead. He jumped, not expecting that, we all started to laugh…

When dinner was over, we all said goodnight and went to bed.

That morning I woke up to humming, it was Jay.  Her face was all pink and red. When I got close to her bed. She shushed me. Then I saw that she was playing with something. She pulled the sheets down and I saw her playing with alpha’s hair while alpha slept on top of her. It was like they were a couple but at the same time there not? Idk, alpha was spooning her in his sleep. It was kinda cute in a way. Then I went over saya’s bed, she was still asleep. when I pulled the sheets of the bed and saw Gray and Saya both were asleep and Gray was hugging her. Saya woke up, and yelled at Gray. “What the hell, dude!?” Suddenly tomboy walk in and saw all of what was happening, he had an awkward smile painted on his face...he finally managed to choke up, “training starts in one hour,” he said while grinding his teeth. He quickly escaped the room, rushing back to his room. I grabbed some clothes for myself then headed to the girls bath house, accidently bumping into coby on the way. “Sorry,” I said recovering myself. “It’s fine,” he responded. “Hey by any chance have you seen alpha or gray? When I woke up they were gone.” Coby asked “Oh, yeah,” I laughed. “They’re with Jay and Saya.” “Oh,” he responded looking kinda sad. “What’s wrong?” I asked. “Oh, it’s nothing, I mean, it’s just,” he sighed. “They’re alway together, they just sorta ignore me now.” “I can relate, when i woke up to my friend just shooing me away,” I said darker than I intended. “But it’s fine, I guess,” I added quickly. “Yeah, but anyways, we have training in an hour, so we should probably get ready,” Coby said gesturing to my clothes in my arms. We said bye and then I went to the bath house to get dressed. Once I was dressed i looked in the mirror to fix myself. My hair was a mess and it would take a long time to fix it. “You are on a mission, you need to focus.” I walked over to the sink to brush my teeth and also slash my face with water. I was walking out of the bath house, just as jay and saya walked in. We said hellos to each other, and I was going to stick around to wait for them, but Jay seemed to only talk about alpha and gray. Saya looked a little pissed because of this morning. I sighed and walked out, heading to the dining room, maybe I could get early breakfast before everyone else. When i reached the dining room, i saw that coby was sitting at a table by himself. He looked up when he heard me and smiled. I smiled back and then went to grab some food. Once I grabbed a waffle and some yogurt, i walked over and sat next to coby. I took a small bit of my waffle and was almost overwhelmed with taste. Coby seemed to notice this and slightly laughed at me. “What?” I asked my voice muffled by waffle. “It’s just.. You look kinda ridiculous,” he laughed. “Ha ha, I just haven’t had real food in almost a week, i’m sure anyone would do the same,” I responded smiling. We continued to eat until Coby started to ask about blake. 

“Well, she’s kinda tough, but she’s actually sorta kinda nice once you get to know her,” I told coby after he asked. We continued to talk about random stuff until everyone else came into the room. By this time, coby and i had finished our breakfasts and were just talking. Luckily, breakfast wasn’t as awkward as i thought i thought it would be. We all talked and the other four had even apologised to us about this morning. I shrugged it off and told them that it was fine and coby did the same. I guess me and coby are in the same boat after all.

Chapter 22

(saya)

After breakfast we all went to training, Gray and I talked about jojo, and what she was like as we made are way to the training rooms, 

“what’s she like?’’ gray said in a soft, smoky voice. It was dark like ash. ‘’Well she's a little pushy, she not vary mothering, if you know what i mean.’’ i said. Once we got to the training rooms we met up with jojo. She  had some rope in her hands, and some sorta rag, when she turned around she quickly put the rag on my mouth and nose, the world went black….

When I came to, me and gray were tied together,face to face. The room was completely dark except for a light that dangled above our heads. Gray was out still, i tried to kick him to wake him up, but my legs were tied to the chair. I had had no shirt on, and nether did gray,i only had a bra on. Gray came to and first looked at my face and then his smoky orange eyes slowly trailed down my body, finally his nose started to bleed. I just looked at him with one eyebrow raised and a cold stare. Jojo's voice entered the room, ‘’you have ten minutes before the guards come to kill you. Break out of this room before the timer goes off.’’ jojo said strictly. I started to pull at the ropes, finally i pushed off of gray, and crushed the chair with my weight, and pulled off the ropes. Then i went over to gray who had done the same. I told him to cup his hands and he did, i ran into him and he pushed me up onto one of the loose ceiling ramps, i swing my legs up onto the ramp, and then found an air vent and popped it open, i leaned my hand to  gray and pulled him up,as some masked people ran into the room. We quickly crawled through the vent. Finally we got to the outside of the vent and we fell out one side of the warehouse building. Went i woke up from the fall, jojo was standing over me and gray, ‘’good job’’ she laughed, as gray woke up.  The masked people came to where we were, and took of their masks. It was jay, spade, and coby.

Once we cleaned up after training, it was lunch time and tahoe finally trusted us enough to go into town, but as long as we had the boys with us and some walkie talkie with us too. I came up to Gray and kicked him. “Pervert! Why did you look me over back there?”

“W-w-well, I-I-I-I, uh, mm...” He stuttered. I walked away to join Spade.

Spade and I put on some nice ripped jean shorts and t-shirts, since it was fairly hot outside. Jay had on a white, short dress on with some cute shoes. 

We went into town with $100 each, which in my opinion was a little too much but whatever.

All of us went into a shop to buy some cloths for the boys. The store was called “fashion fierce”. What an original name? Spade and I went to a corner of the store with dark clothes and we tried a bunch of shirts, jackets, and jeans on. I bought a dark grey shirt, baggy black jeans, and a black jacket.

“Hey Spade, I’m kinda getting tired of this blue color in my hair. I’m gonna go dye it a different color. Would red look good?” I asked suddenly. 

“Sure, I guess.” She said with an uncertain tone.

“Spade, is something bothering you?” I asked her as she turned her back to me.

“I’m fine.”

“No you’re not. I can see it in your eyes.” I replied. I looked at her and I could see that she was definitely uncomfortable.

“Ok, I won't bother you anymore.” I said. “Can I tell you something?” I asked suddenly.

“Yeah.” She said as she turned to me.

“Well, I feel as if we are made to die. I mean, we are, but I feel like we were not made to stop them. Even though we’ve been training so long and hard, I don't feel we can do it. It’s very stressful.’’ sounding very dark and lifeless.

“’Saya, I know it’s hard and difficult right now but we will rise above them, i'm sure of it’’ she said with a smile on her face, to try and cheer me up.  I smiled but on the inside i wasn't sure…. 

Chapter 23

(jay)

After we bought some clothes for the boys, we went to this italian themed restaurant, and got some pasta and french bread, but every one had to sit at separate tables of two because they had limited space. Alpha and I sat together at a fancy table, with candle lit lights hanging above us, it was quite romantic… well in my opinion it was. We ordered our food and ate together while Tahoe, Saya, Spade and the rest of the gang who went out sat at another table right next to us ordered their food. I noticed Saya dyed her hair a bright deep red and her Hekka marks changed to that color too! Once we all had finished and payed the check, we went back to HQ to train for the next mission. We entered the building and I noticed Saya disappeared, but I just figured she has stuff to do. An hour must’ve passed and it was time for my training with Alpha and Tomboy. Before we even started, i could hear rumbling from the next room over but Tomboy just ignored it.

“Jay, don’t worry about the noise. It’s just Saya. She’s picked up a new hobby. Plus, we tried to soundproof that room as much as we can, but i guess it didn’t work as planned. We’ll fix it later.”

What’s she doing?”

“Why don't you find out?” He replied. I walked out of the room to open the door and I looked in and saw Saya with noise canceling headphones on her ears. Saya was moving her head side to side as she crashed the ride and high high and thumped on the base and the snare. She was drumming and it was spectacular! She was drumming so fast and hard, she looked like she was crying a little. I wanted to say something, but I knew she wouldn’t hear me, so I walked back to my training room to join Alpha.

“Alright! Jay, think fast!” Tomboy shouted as he hurled a bowling ball at me. I jumped over the low rolling ball.  As soon as I had landed, Tomboy threw a pool ball at me and I dodged it as it whizzed by.

“Alpha! Are you just going to stand there and not help her?! Go on boy! Help her!’’ said Tomboy. Tomboy hurled another ball at us, and Alpha kicked it out of the way. Once tomboy got bored of throwing bowling  balls at us, he started to use his magical abilities, which was fire. And rember that Hekka’s can turn into one animal and one only, well Tomboy turned into some sort of panther with his same orange blazing eyes. The tip of his tale was on fire and it didn't seem to hurt him. He snarled at me with a evil look in his eye. He was planning something, I just know it. He jumped on Alpha and landed on top of me. I struggles to get out from under him, but he was very powerful. I could tell he was weakening, so i took my chance to push him off of me. He rolled into the wall and turned back to his normal self. He was panting for air and he turned to us.

“Good job, you two!” he started, “I didn’t think I’d be able to shift, but I did! It really wears you down though.”

“It’s really cool! How do you do that?” I asked in amazement.

“Thats for you to learn in the future.” he replied with a huff. “Your training is done for now. You may exit this room.”

I left the room with Alpha and we walked to see if saya was still in her room drumming away. I peeked in and the drums were the only thing in the room. Just then, we heard a voice right in our ears.

“Looking for someone?” It’s said. We jumped at the same time. I turned around to see Saya with a smile of satisfaction on her face as she had succeeded in scaring us. 

“Oh, Saya, yeah, w-we were looking to see if you were in the room.” I started, “I saw you earlier, but I didn’t want to boast!” I reasoned.

“Anyways, I gotta get to my training.” Saya said as she turned to run to her lesson. She was acting a little off today. I wondered if something was bothering her and i found myself lost in thought, until Alpha tapped my shoulder and spoke up.

“Jay, are you ok? You look just as puzzled as Saya looked agitated.” Alpha said.

“I’m good, I just got lost in thought, that’s all! Heh.” I managed to say. Alpha and I walked to the porch and i went back inside the warehouse and got some lemonade tea for us.’’thanks…’’ he said with his gentle face and a cute smile. Under my cheeks it got a little hot. I gave him the tea, and he smiled lightly. And my blush became a little darker and warmer.  I sat next to him with my tea and took a small sip...it burnt my tongue. I stuck out my tongue and started fanning it, then i noticed that Alpha was staring at me with curiosity in his eyes. I stick my tongue out at him. He did the same. ‘’Bleh!’’ i snorted at him with a giggle, he laughed too. We finished are tea and  talked for a while, then Alpha brought something to my attention. “Jay, um, would, I-i mean, do you want to have a family when all of this is over?....” the way he said it sounded like his life depended upon it.  I looked at my empty cup and finally managed to smile. “I do want to make a family, I mean I lost mine and I want to remake it. But answer me this...how do you know this “war” is going to be over?” I said with a insane smile painted on my face….”I know….it's stupid of me but, I-I ha ha ha, I think I want to die...I'm so done with everything, I want to put myself to rest, I want to see my family again...and if it means giving up my life then so be it…!” I laughed with a smile. I was slowly crying right now, Alpha wiped my tears and said “it's not stupid, it's what you want, but we don't always get what we want, do we?....” he said as he hugged me, “jay I know it's only been a few days since we met, but can I take you out on a date for your birthday tomorrow?” He said with a icy stare, that only made me blush harder! “Alpha…” I started with a frown, “o-of course, I would love to!” I finished with a smile…

After that we went to my room, and talked for a long while… I love talking to him...his warm voice and his perfect face to go with it...ah...just makes me melt….
