Introduction

Good day!

Thanks for taking the time to read my NaNoWriMo creation, which is based out of the ideal world.

This is for all the optimists and fiction lovers who simply desire jumping into a new world where you can jump off the cliff of reality without a second thought.

I hope you join me on this new found journey.

Chapter 1

I glanced at my watch, 6:09 p.m., only a few minutes until Victor Nagasaki was expected to arrive. The bench where I first met Victor welcomed all of those who walked by it, or simply needed a resting place en route of their long journey. I stared out the window through the frosted glass that was laced with Christmas decorations - mainly wreaths and holly. The symmetrical setting enclosed throughout the restaurant invited each person who entered its doorway a set of mini-wreaths and mistletoe. Each couple who arrived beamed with their pearly white teeth catching the overt sunlight before getting escorted to their table.

I strummed my fingers along the edge of the table, warming them up since the ice water left my fingers frozen stiff. I clenched my fists and blew into my hands increasing the heat, which has been neglected for the past few hours.

"Impatient as always I see," a warm voice landed in my left ear, and my fingers became perfectly still.

I blinked twice before turning to see Victor, who beamed with his black overcoat, which was full of snowflakes, and his nose as bright as a beat.

"Just figuring out a new tune," I said.

He leaned over and kissed my cheek, "Is that what it is?" he smiled and took a seat across from me.

I nodded then took a sip of water. Folding my hands in front of me, I smiled. Victor read the menu and smiled. After staring at the entree list for what seemed like eternity, he closed the menu and pushed it to the side of the table. He reached over the table and grabbed my hand. His fingers intertwined with mine. I gazed into his eyes, and grasped his hands tighter.

"I missed you so much," Victor pulled his chair closer to mine.

"So did I," I adjusted my seat so that it was perpendicular to Vitor's but not so close that the scolding waitress would stare at me so much that the atmosphere would become uncomfortable.

"So this is the place, ain't it?" Victor smiled and gestured to the window with the white bench in front of it.

I nodded and pulled out my phone from my purse edged next to my hip on the seat. "Take a look at this." I shifted through the photos until I flipped to the one where we were sitting on the marble bench in matching outfits. From the moment we first met, Victor and I had similar colour choices in whatever we wore. Plus whenever we spoke, it was always about similar topics at the exact same moment. That day our outfits matched to the dot, very basic long-sleeved shirts and jeans; but the way we bonded from that very moment was special. Hands matching long-sleeve shirts for walking speeds, matching walking speeds at par, and the sense of belonging became just a teddy bear hug away. The softness of every moment can be held in the palm of the hand no matter where we went. It was the moment, which I gazed into those beautiful brown eyes, and found love shimmering through the ray of lights. I laced my arms around his neck, and gazed at his eyes.

"What's up, honey?" Victor put his hands on my waist and pulled me closer. He leaned closer and gave me a warm hug. I nuzzled  my face on his chest, and listened to his heart beating faster as the seconds ticked by. He stroked my back then pulled my bangs away from my face, clearing the view from in front of my eyes.

I sighed and shook my head, "You just seem to always have a way to make the world seem so minuscule."

Victor laughed and motioned to sit on the bench. The white etched bench that was carved with each of the province's most significant flowers.

I grabbed his arm and leaned on it, softly stroking it as the sun dipped into the evergreen forest. "I don't know what to do, my dear," I said.

"What do you mean?" he reached over his other hand and hugged me closer.

"Life can be so lonely at times, can't it?" I squeezed Dad's arm tight.

"Not if you don't let it," he said.

"It's not that easy, there's just so much pressure," a tear streamed down my face. Cheeks burning and eyes stinging as as I swiped my face with the back of my hand.  I shut my eyes tight.

"Stress doesn't need to get the best of you, hun" said Victor. "You're letting it overtake you." He turned my shoulders towards him, "You need to give your stress to me, and not worry so much."

My eyes widened, and I shook my head, "That's not possible," I sighed, "I need to get everything done, it's just enough time, it's just timing is so tight. I don't know if this is doable."

"Are you working for the clock? Or for yourself?" Victor looked at his watch, and showed the time to me. "Every minute that passes is full of potential. We are given one chance to make the most out of it, and once it's gone there's no turning back. You know there's a thing called Second Chance."

I smiled and chuckled as Victor shook his head.

"That doesn't always happen. And if it does, it doesn't hold the same meaning." I stood up and walked along the lake shore where the pebbles created a gated entrance. The serene lake  was able to bring the peaceful angel on your side whenever an individual walked towards it. The nearby trees and colourful flowers filled the remaining void in the area. This was the only place I could go and leave everything behind, and know that there was an angel next to me wherever I went. However, knowing that an angel is there guiding you, doesn't mean that is what you need, and that all of your problems can disappear in a jiffy. Sometimes the presence of another living body is what truly makes a difference. The sugary love pulls all the deeds in, and engulfs them into an oven where only once the love is understood are their true desires exposed to us and to the world.

Then what happens...

How does anyone make a decision that your life is cut out to be part of a fantasy of angels where choices are made based upon desire, and very little upon the impact of Christmas or work. Then who gets to make that decision? The universe, the world, the nation, or myself.

Chapter 2

I leaned over the edge of the swimming pool, grinning at the chuckling children playing with the waddle boards on the children's side. I glanced down at my toes, the pedicure glistened in the overt sunlight waiting to engulf me into the sea of happiness. I lifted my right foot and hovered it over the pool.

"Aren't you going to give it a try?" said Victor "the water is great!"

I slowly turned my head, and peaked out of the corner of my eye.
