Glorious Essay Writing Guide

Essay writing is something we've all been taught time after time in the many subjects we've had throughout our academic years. We are used to different guides and different "winning techniques" to help us write the best essay we can, however sometimes those guides are blurry and unclear. Student essay competitions have become so much more popular in the last few years and everyone has a chance to win, just with a few tips and strategies you can keep in mind! First, don't be scared to enroll yourself in a student essay contest just because you think that there are others much better than you - maybe your style, your creativity and your imagination is exactly what the judges are looking for.

When starting to write your essay, make an outline on what you're generally planning on writing about. Jot down different ideas that you have and let the outline rest for any other ideas you may get throughout the day. Don't wait until last minute! Make sure you have enough time to master your essay and make it as good as you can.

Don't get stuck at the introduction. It's good to leave the introduction and conclusion for last because by then you're so familiar with your essay that you'll make both parts more fluid, informative and suitable. Just start writing about your main idea, leave structuring for later.

When writing, try stepping out of your comfort zone and vary the words you use - nothing is more boring than an essay full of many repeating words, it also might make the judges seem as if you're not creative. Avoid the common cliches: make it original. But be careful, many use a thesaurus and end up using words that are entirely out of context!

Be creative. You can be as creative as you want, just make sure that you're being consistent all throughout the essay - there's nothing worse than an essay that looks like a bunch of ideas thrown onto paper. Also remember that the judges will be reading hundreds and hundreds of essays: make yours stand out via custom essay service! Give them something they're not used to reading. Keep in mind that it's a student essay competition and that your creativity is very important.

Finally, sleep on it. Re-read your essay multiple times and make corrections, you'll see how many better ideas you'll have with a fresh mind. Double check for any grammatical mistakes, punctuation mistakes and typos - little mistakes like that are easily avoidable and will make your essay that much better. Maybe get a trusted second opinion to read your essay and give you tips on things you can improve!
