Love Metaphors
Our love is like:
A potter and his clay
With each new adition
The piece gains shape.
When he struggles
He never gives up on it.
With the tiniest press of his thumb,
Definition and Personality come to life.
The fires harden it and lock every aspect together
Paints are added for excitement and appeal.
A glaze only strengthens it.
With each use
Memories are created.
Forever the potter remembers
His wonderful creation.
Our love is like:
A budding rose.
Though it starts out young and small
Petals continue to sprout.
Even through harsh weathers,
It grows more and more beautiful
Day by day.
BUT our love is also different from these things.
It will not craxk or chip
Like the potter's clay.
Differing from the rose
It will not die or fade away.
Our love is like:
Us.
Funny.
Colorful.
Exotic.
Smart.
Exciting.
Handsom.
Erotic.
Idealistic.
Strong.
Memorable.
Insane.
And only together
Is it perfect.
Forever & Always
Always & Forever
A Carnation's Conundrum
Though the flower's life is fleeting
It brings joy to all whom behold it's beauty
Mankind's role model
They are all we can hope to be
An artist with his easel
With what few breaths he has
Only wants his art to be known
To allow his feeling to flow unto others
A soldier with his duty
In a very dangerous world
Tries to bring his country freedom
And honor to his family
A mother with her children
The hectic life she leads
Raises her children as best she is able
Hoping to prepare them to be all that they can
We all have our dreams
And a short amount of time to realize them
If only we could just be as flowers
Sitting prettily in the yard
Ode to my Unborn
Oh Belly Lump
How I love you
A product of liebe
Between two
We could not have asked
For a better gift
A (hopefully) sweet girl
To share our life with
You make our family complete
With the promise of joy you bring
The sound of laughter
And the pitter-patter
…Wow I really want ice cream
With some Kiwi
I hate those freaky fruit with fur
I can’t believe I crave them
Ow! Don’t kick that!
I can’t wait ‘til you get out of me
You mean little beast
Just wait for Daddy
Give him your squirms and kicks
Let me rest
But we love you none the less
Our beautiful baby.
