Poems from the Broken
Eyes
Blue Eyes.
Secret Smiles.
Life unknown that makes life worthwhile.
Green eyes.
Flirty Laughs.
Life's to short to let it pass.
What the world doesn't see.
Because it's to afraid to look.
That the eyes hold the key.
To what this young love took.
Eyes hold the soul.
And keeps the secrets of the past.
For this young love knew it wouldn't last.
So keep the secret smiles and the flirty laughs.
As if this secret love was made to last.
Pain
The smile is fake.
The laugh is forced.
The people are blind to it,
For they choose not see,
All this pain I'm hiding,
Even from me.
I want to be happy.
The rain is my friend.
Because sunshine shows,
What I've lost within
I want that joy back.
I want the light in my life.
To bring it back though,
Means I have to open up to my strife.
I'm not ready yet,
But soon I will be
To open up,
And let people finally see me.
Overnight
Young.
Old.
It all means the same.
We all have our jobs.
We all have pain.
Change,
It happens
We don't see it.
We don't want to.
We want change,
But are to afraid of it.
Young.
Old.
Change.
Life
It just happens,
And it happens overnight.
