It all started with a smile and a hug,

But whoever knew that you were going to end up as my drug,

Seeing you from a distance made me realize how gorgeous you were,

I remember telling myself, "I am not going to talk to anyone else besides her",

You made me gather interest ever since I saw you stare back at me,

Your smile and your beautiful eyes was all I wanted to see,

Months passed and I got the privilege to meet you more and more,

A year after, we were no longer strangers as the months before,

You made me focus on you rather than anyone else around,

Your voice to my ears; made such a perfect sound,

So sweet and so clear,

That is why I had made you mine the following year,

I was getting to know you and your beautiful family; that I will never forget,

The memories you gave me is something I promise I will never regret,

Things were good to a certain point,

I always did my best to do great because you were someone I never wanted to disappoint,

Then, things started getting out of proportion which was unexpected,

We didn't see it coming until little by little we noticed we were getting disconnected,

Finally, things we never thought would happen actually took place,

Now I can't even talk to you or even see your face,

I never thought I'd be at a position where I am not suppose to love you anymore,

I also never thought I'd be that person you just seem to ignore,

You told me "Only time can tell us why things happened between you and I,"
