Community Guidelines - Please Read First

Welcome to the Women Writers Zone! As it's our aim to have a supportive, positive space for our women writers, a few guidelines have been set up to outline the kinds of behavior we're looking for here in our community.

✅ Be respectful.
This may be an online space, but we're all equals no matter where we share our thoughts and opinions.

✅ Keep your comments focused and on topic, according to each discussion.
This helps facilitate the best, most productive conversations.

✅ Protect your privacy.
Comments in the community are visible to the general public. You shouldn't post anything here that you wouldn't say in public. Don't give out personal information such as email addresses, telephone numbers or street addresses.

❌ Be hateful.
Disagreements can lead to great progress. However, insulting individuals and bullying will not be tolerated. Members that use obscenities, personal insults, ethnic slurs or other disparaging language will be removed.

❌ Publish material that does not belong to you.
You must be the owner (or have obtained approval from the owner) to claim any material as your own.

❌ Defame or breach an individual's privacy.
This is illegal. Authors that publish or post material that is untrue, or designed to negatively target an individual, will be removed from the community.

❌ Forget to have fun.

If you have any questions about these rules, or need further clarification, comment below and I'll be happy to answer any questions! If you have something a little more private to say, or need to report a member who has breached these guidelines, reach me at hello@tablo.io

With that out of the way, head on over and take a look through our other discussions (or add your own)! You'll notice our community books too, they're there waiting to be read so go on over and have a look through. See you around!

Hi Hannah. When you meant by not publishing something that isn’t mine, you got me a little nervous: I published Corey, a story of a transgender teen and already putted the video address thingy ( so with 🐱 Everyone Was Warner Not To Touch Him, But This Guy Did 🐱 ). These two books share a strong message so that’s why I decided to put it in Tablo. Am I doing something right or wrong ? No, this is not my material but still want to share.

It's generally not a good idea to publish someone else's work, especially under your own name, even if you add a part stating it's not your own work. You can get into trouble for plagiarism, and no one wants that!

However, I'm not sure what the exact guidelines/rules around that are. Personally it's not something I'd recommend, since most authors would not be okay with someone else publishing their work online for free even if they give credit. Maybe you could find a way to contact the author and ask permission? If that's a possibility?
