BANG!. This was the sound that made Charles jump with fear in his eyes in his bed while dreaming something no one should dream about he checked  outside to see what happend there was nothing guest it was apart in his dreams which he thought till another bang but this time it was on his door he went downstairs to see what is it his pet ran for him for a little fuss so he did but he didn't want to because of the back pain he had his pet was a pug with black fur and the biggest eyes one could have he never said she was cute instead he thought it he opend the door the mailman was there for some reason ' ummm th-, oh' he looks beside him seeing that his mailbox was bashed open ' did you see what happend ' he nods then points at the others ' teenagers drived by with baseball bats hitting the mailboxes ' the mailbox man sighs with abit of depression ' are you okay?' He just walks away to the next lot of peaple waiting for there mail Charles just walks in with the dog scratching its face with its foot his throat begins to get dry so begins to walking to the kitchen for a drink of what he couldn't decide what to drink he was thinking some glass of whisky , Jack Daniels or... Water but because he just woke up and he began to have a headache of that bang when he woke up he choice the water he had a pain in his legs when he walked from the walk he did yesterday for Walk For Cancer which was a charity for kids for cancer it was one of those things that Charles will definitely do because when he was a kid his friend had a unfortunate event which you could figure out he survived but sadly it came back Charles went through a depressing year then he went out of it when he was twenty two but when it began he was thirteen now he lives by himself , well except with is dog  ' do you want to go for a walk ' he looked down at his dog as it tilts his head confusingly then jumping on his leg not in a humping way but in like a mine in a box jumping ' alright, alright one minute ' the dog waits there for awhile then Charles comes back with its lead the dog begins to get more excited as he comes closer gently not causing the cute pug which Charles didn't say at all even if peaple ask " why did you get one then?" have a heart attack Charles opens the door to go for a little walk he thought taking her for one now because there's no traffic for it not to be scared of the turbo but as he said when he drived ' go ahead mate blow your fucking fuce ' but still he kept driving another reason he walked his dog at that time was because peaple will always slow you down even if they have a dog or kids either way their slow you down with a bark or a simple can I stroke her anyway Charles took his dog down the streets to the end which was a long and I mean long walk that took half an hour for him but not for the dog he realised this when he asked his sister Abbie to walk her when he had a hangover in his house with him and friends went to a strip club while one friend didn't approve not because it was wrong to do so but because he is gay so Charles and the others had an idea to take him to a male strip club while they all wait outside then he came back drunk as fuck with his tie rapped on his head and his t-shirt undone they all didn't want to ask anyway , anyway back to the walk his pug is tired out after reaching the end then gets a cab back to his house ' come on then get in your basket and.... Go' he takes the leash off then the pug lies in its basket watching Charles open the dog food ' come on then girl ' the dog walks slowly to her bowl Charles goes upstairs to bed he reaches to the top Charles opens the door then lies on his bed wondering why is he so lonely he turns to go to sleep he closes his eyes then hears  a little wind whistle coming from the window he opend which he forgot to close   . He carries on trying to go to sleep but after awhile he can't take it anymore so he gets up to the window to close the window which he expected doing till he finally opens his eyes wide till he sees there already closed remembering he didn't open them when he woke up he  doesn't understand what's going on like he takes awhile to think and remember but he leaves it anyway in the meantime he turns ' well I'm hearing st-, what the fuck' he sees a black smoke coming from his closet like a red, black , gray smoke he thinks he's hallucinating till he breaths it in his lungs and out the same colour and smell with it he opens it quickly and there was .... Nothing there was no smoke , no fire nothing he checked down stairs to see in kitchen if he burned anything the dog was scared when he came down like that it his dog sat up like she was going for another walk Charles checked the oven the microwave even the chimney but again nothing. ' st..st..stay here Lucy ' ( his pugs name is Lucy ) Charles goes to see his sister and ask if she saw anything strange or out of  the ordinary I texted her saying

Me: we need to talk 

Lucy: what's a matter did you commit something?

Me: no I'm going to your house. K?

Lucy: k

Charles carried on but is worried for Lucy and Lucy is worried for Charles because of how suspicious the text came out,  he wanted to change the text before he sent it but his brain is just not processing of what just happened at his house but then again even if he could send the text in a way thay doesn't show he's desperate to talk but acting like he only wants a cup of coffee but that thought came out because he just arrived and his sister is just out there sitting on her bench outside  reading text back and forth smoking at the same time reading one line puff one line puff again this still doesn't distract her from the car that Charles is parking with, Lucy kept watching Charles because of the pale face and the shaking he did when he closed the car door Lucy was worried when she witnessed that ' are you okay?' Charles doesn't awnser he just keeps hold of his coat like a loony she opens the door for him he doesn't say anything instead walks in they both sit down ' did you see anything strange, be honest ' she shakes her head Charles takes awhile to breath with his hand on his head   ' like?' He looks back at her ' smoke.. Red smoke ... Gray smoke , anything ? ' she again shakes her head Charles stands up then drinks his coffee then walks away ' where are you going ?' He doesn't awnser just walks off to the door to his car but as he grabs the door handle he sees one again smoke coming from his sleeve but there's something different the smoke was a shape of a hand. As he sees the hand he quikly opens the door and when he runs outside he looks at his sleeve ' thank god it's gone ' he gets in his car to go home. He hopes its all a dream so when he starts diving he keeps pinching his arm he even looked in his little mirror he has in his pocket he does this to see if he's abit high because of the peaple next door being hippies and maybe the fumes getting in the vent as he does this at the same time he doesn't take to notice that he's driving on a wet icy road making him ski the wheels making him hit the lamppost nearly making him fly out the window but he didn't his weight wasn't heavy enough so he just hit his head on the stearin wheel making him unconscious with a small crack on his forehead bleeding slowly but painfully which he didn't scream but he will in a minute.

 Ring ring ri- ' yes what it's my day off if it's a patient get another doct- ' he stopped to listen to what the caller said ' a car crash?' He again stopped and listen ' right I'll be there ' he got up from his seat to get the bill because it was his and his wife's anniversary they never knew how long , Ben never asked his wife to not piss or off. they already have issues together like for example a dying marriage but surprisingly they are out , out of the arguments and shouting. His wife knew what he had to go to so she didn't approve of it ' I'm sorry a patient had a car crash' she didn't respond she kept drinking and drinking till the glass was empty, alcoholic Ben thought he got his jacket on with his vest on tucking the tie in he realised he didn't tuck he went outside then yelled for a taxi leaving his wife alone just sitting there drinking wine the taxi pulled over for him the driver didn't speak English he only spoke French so he had to use translated app on his phone to speak to him he understood what he was doing so he drived Ben didn't really trust him because of the beard with a birthmark on his neck , well he couldn't tell if it was rather a birthmark or a rash he didn't want to ask he already had enough patients today. The driver arrived at the hospital 'k thanks ' he remembered to pay the driver what he didn't remember was he spoke French so really he didn't like that he didn't say thank you, Ben walked in the hospital ' sorry no visitors ' the person said that at the desk didn't take notice of him instead she was filling her nails chewing acting all cool but appeared looking stupid at the end when Ben said ' I'm a doctor ' she looked up and shrugged then lended a ID card for the elevator what a fucking idiot he thought , anyone could've walked and said I'm a doctor but he didn't want to argue with her that would have been a waist of time talking to someone that gullible can just lend that what's next " im the person you owe money to " God Ben hoped that never had happened to her he went to the elevator which looked like it hasn't been clean over a month or two Ben  put the ID in the slot where the light to see if it's right was full of dust and webs he had to clean it with his jacket the light turned green then the lights of the buttons to the floors . He didnt know the floor the person took so he returned  to reception 'excuse me' she looks up not talking ' which floor did the last patient take?' She doesn't talk instead she rises three fingers Ben then walks back to the elevator then pressed number three till a man in a blue coat walks in ' no visitors sorry' he shows her a ID badge  Ben  couldn't see if he was a dr or a cleaner or whatever these hospitals are letting in anyway. It doesn't matter at least he has a badge to prove it he's something inportant in here Ben  thinks , he runs to catch the elevator so Ben puts his hand to stop it closing with the dust on his hand ' thanks mate ' he nods for a welcome the man in the blue coat was about to push the third floor till he saw it was already pushed then steps back waiting. Ben was uncomfortable just being two strangers in a elevator not talking and no eye contact ' my name is Mike by the way if you need anything ' Ben turns his head ' like what?' Mike laughed ' I'm a kind of doctor , a doctor who listens to peaple talk about loads of things marriage, mental health hell even peaple who think there crazy ' Ben thinks he's showing off so he says acting he knows everything ' so your a therapist ' Mike nods ' here , take this if you need anything , OK? He nods once again the elevator stopped to open the doors they both went out. A lady  fast walked to Ben kind of a rush Ben didn't know if she wanted to go to the elevator or to him  ' oh thank god your here the mans head is bleeding a lot the he crashed right outside of the building of a couple who called us they saw him and they didn't know if he was going to crash or not ' Ben took a deep breath ' where is he? ' she points at Charles lying with tubes up his nose and a bandage on his head , his eyes are closed while he lies down looking at the roof . Ben walks in Charles doesn't wake up please don't go in a coma and say this was a waist of time Ben thinks in a bad and good way kind of. The lady came in closing the door slowly not causing Charles to jump , it wouldn't be good if he did because the couple seen him scream ' how long has he been like this' he turns to her she shrugs not knowing ' does any of his family members know what has happend ' she walks over to Charles on the over side of Ben ' his sister , Abbie she knows she's been sitting there ' she points at Abbie worried with her hands on her face thinking it's my fault , it's all my fault she's holding his pug which she didn't know it's name so she just called it Oreo because of the black fur looking the same colour as the outside of a Oreo . As Ben and the nurse look at Abbie in symphony Charles begins to wake up with his eyes slowly opening ' what the fuck happend?' He whispered Ben doesn't hear him Charles pulls the tubes out then sits up Ben hears the tubes fall on the floor and turns expecting Charles still asleep and so he is Charles stands up walking to the door just balancing on his feet walking slowly two shadows come running at the sides of him not touching him but enough to scare him but makes him walk anyway. He opens the door leading to a cliff of a bright and wonderful place full of flowers at the side of a waterfall Charles thinks he's in heaven till it turns to hell. The sky turns gray the flowers die and the waterfall turns into coal ' what the fuck is this!' A dark cloud comes in front of him then turns into a face of his but with a beard all wrinkly and horrible it mouth opens then the wind sucks him in . ' right I'll come back tomo-' Charles jumps from his bed then onto the floor ' or not ' Charles gets up he runs to Ben ' you need to help me' Ben takes a hard look at Ben then Charles takes a hard look at Ben ' Ben ?' 'Charles?' They both hug Ben was Charles friend from when he was a kid with the others ' Jesus Christ!, you grown a beard' Charles says ' I thought of growing one the last time I saw you ' Charles laughed ' you were thirteen' after awhile after the checkups they both came out ' hey Abbie look who the fuck I found ' Charles had his arm around Ben Lucy looked up and went to hug Charles and as they did Charles saw behind her saw the mysterious charicter but it wasn't just smoke this time there was a body but couldn't tell by the face Charles jumped back ' hey Oreo , you miss me ' the dog jumped with job all round his leg rapping him ' oh let me help you ' Ben got Lucy then rapped the other way of Charles so long story short they all got a cab to there houses but Ben took Charles to his house so he could look after him. Charles slept on the couch downstairs when Charles was sleeping Ben tucked him then his wife came down ' who's he!' Ben turned to her ' shhhh he's a friend, a old friend who needs my help' she didn't like it but she definitely know what he meant ' Ben is this a unhappy marriage your having ?' Ben doesn't know what she meant ' what are you saying?' She stares at him ' are you bisexual  Ben ' he turns then sits down on the seat in the corner with the lamp with his parm on his head then she Comes down with her arms crossed ' well?' He looks at her ' I was bu-' ' you was!' She introrupted  him ' I was gay okay is that you wanted to hear I went out with a guy I met in a male strip club while my friends went outside' she doesn't say anything she just takes her ring off then puts it on the table with the lamp on the table Ben sighs then turns to Charles sleeping tucked in Ben gets up then turns the light off then goes upstairs to another room where he slept . Abbie finally got home she put Oreo/ lucy on her bed sleeping.
