Introduction

"Lilineth," his voiced thundered throughout his office. I stood in front of his desk trying my hardest to not cower. "How many times it been already?" He glared. "How many more angels are going to win against you? You are suppose to bring misfortune yet the opposite happens." He growled.

I looked at my feet not knowing what else to do. It was true. In the last 500 years I had not once managed to drag anyone to Hell. "One more chance, please." I said in a low voice. I couldn't give up just yet. "I swear on my life I will bring misfortune to someone."

The King of Hell glanced at me skeptically. "Very well." He conceded. "However, if you fail again something worse than dead shall be your punishment." I got chills and my fear only grew when I noticed the glint in his eye. What could possibly be worse than dead? I am in Hell already. I nodded. "Alright then," he made a screen appear and on it there was a male human lying on a bed. "He will be your target. Scott Davis, it's his name."

Chapter 1

Easier said than done. Every time I tried to make a human fall further into sin or at least make them miserable it went terribly wrong. I convinced a vagabond to "invest" the money people gave him in lottery tickets instead of food - he won $40 million after two days. I was so mad, I pushed a guy on suit to the train tracks as the train was coming. To my dismay, I had not notice there was a kid who had fallen there and the guy ended up saving her - long story short I boosted his career and now he is running as that country's as president. This time I shall not fail.

I arrived at Scott Davis' residence. He was asleep which made my job easier. I could just take a peak inside his mind to see all his weaknesses. I smirked at myself. This guy was already so filthy with sins - like a ripened fruit ready for picking. Easiest job ever, I just had to kill him.

The next day he went to the beach and I followed. There he climb some rocks and was just sitting there texting so I disguised myself as a human and climbed as well.

"Hey, would you help me?" I smiled sweetly.

He stared at me and nodded.

"I am trying to get to this address." I approached him and gave him a paper. As he turned towards the city I tried to push him off the cliff and to the sea but his phone had fallen from his hand and he had bent down to pick it up. I end up falling! When I opened my eyes I could tell he had saved me. Not only that but I could see the female lifeguard was interested in Scott and he had a massive crush on her. I was doomed.
