In response to the prompt

You woke up this morning and every single living being on the planet appears to have vanished. What do you do next?

I appreciate any feedback, bad and good. I do not have a disqus account, so I can not respond, but all and any advice or criticism will be taken into consideration.

(Thank you Sandeept, I appreciate your feedback, but I am unsure by what you mean when you say you don't understand how they attacked her. As in where they came from or....what?)

Oh! I got it now. I was thinking of something out of the world but turned out into something else.

Daydreamer

Opps, I meant 'what do you mean you don't understand how they attacked her?

Daydreamer

Hey, got a disqus account....sorda :/ anyways thanks for responding. Sorry it's so late, but what do you mean you and how the attacked her? please explain I would love to clarify! :)

Daydreamer

Hi! Yes she died from the drug over dose. I have a horrible time with spelling and the such, I'm still working on that :) but I'm glad you liked the story!

TheCanMan

The story was good. I'm assuming the drugs she did in the beginning killed her but it was unclear. Some grammatical errors but otherwise well written

Introduction

It was the last night I would ever fight with my Father. I screamed and cried and threw things at him. I told him I hated him, of course I didn't mean it, but I would never get a chance to tell him that. I ran to my room and locked the door. I quickly got my drugs and took a dose far to large for me.

Quiet

I woke up to a quiet house. No Timmy, no dad, nothing at all except the barking of neighbor hood dogs and sirens. The military's base horn was sounding softly from miles away. My heart began to race, that horn never went off unless case of emergency. I rushed to my window and saw the streets cluttered with crash sites, but not a single soul in sight. I ran out of my room to my little brothers, franticly screaming his name "Timmy! Timmy!" his bed was empty. I raced to my fathers room, the same thing. Dear god what was happening. I began to panic around the house, searching in vain for someone...anyone.

I gave up after half an hour and slid my back down the wall as my body slumped to the floor. There was no one at all, not even my annoying next door neighbor. Everyone was gone. I began to cry, what had I done to deserve this? I remembered something that my father told me. He had explained it many years ago, it was lingering in my mind like a cloud. I raced up stairs and pulled my fathers bible from the dresser. I quickly flipped the pages to the end of the book, my hand shaking of sadness and fear. I read it, again and again I read it. But it wouldn't make sense, some one would be here if we were in revelations. THAT was it! I wasn't alone at all, I just had to find the people who were still here!

I quickly grabbed my back pack and stuffed clothes, food and anything else I thought useful for a journey. I quickly undressed myself, neglecting a bra I shoved my legs into my skinny jeans and my feet into my black hiking boots. I threw on a white T-shirt and my leather jacket as quickly as I could and was out the door in a matter of seconds. I hesitated, looking at my fathers car, I could drive it. Who would stop me? With that in mind I got his keys and backed out of the drive way, I swerved around the crashes and drove at full speed to Aaron's. If there was anyone who would get left behind, it was him.
