Introduction

Hello. This is my first attempt at a story, so don't expect anything good. As of right now I have no set update schedule but that might change. This story is a fanfiction based on a Nickelodeon show called Every Witch Way.

Chapter 1 - Daniel

I just wanted to be left alone by Emma, even though she had chosen Jax over me she still acted like we were dating. Today is a prime example of this, she went as far as hosting a somewhat birthday party at one of my favorite restaurants as a kid. My parents and I used to go there all the time before they suddenly closed shop. I had thought the restaurant was long gone, but I was wrong. It also just so happened that it came back with in perfect time for my birthday this fall.

This birthday party was supposed to be a surprise but Emma had made the mistake of telling Sophie and everyone knows Sophie can't keep a secret. Even though I knew about the party I still acted surprised when Emma came over my house, blindfolded me and said we were going somewhere special. After the few years Emma and I dated I learned a few things, 1) Do as She Says 2) Be on Her Good Side and 3) Never Talk Back. You could say I had learned these things the hard way.

Having a witch girlfriend was fun most of the time but it was like I had to live my life on egg shells because with a swirl of her hand I could become a frog or my parents could forget who I am. Some would say she would never do such thing but behind closed doors she would always be messing with me using her powers. In a way I am happy she chose Jax because she could finally get what she deserved, an equal opponent.

My thought process was disrupted when Emma screamed "We're Here Daniel!", the sheer volume of her scream most likely would have broken the glass on the car if it weren't for the magic protection spell she put over the car.

"Already?" I asked as if I didn't know that Lola's was not even 15 minutes away.

"Yup," she said, popping the p.

"Is anyone else here?" I inquired, already knowing the answer.

She replied as if she was trying to keep the joy in her voice down with "Yes, and you can take of the blindfold."Just before I took of the blindfold I heard the shuffling of feet, so I guessed my other friends had come out from Lola's. When I opened my eyes I acted as if I had no idea that she had taken me to Lola's. I pretended to start crying saying things like "You guys didn't have to do this," and them responding "But we wanted to." But I knew they weren't just here for me, they wanted to be on Emma's good side so they could use some of that chosen one magic. Even the so called liberator of the council wanted her to do spells for her because they would be almost unbreakable by other witches.

After that impromptu hug fest, we walked in to Lola's. When I was outside I could see they did some major renovating through the glass windows but when I stepped inside I had felt that this was a restaurant that had just finished being built. I almost couldn't even tell we were at the Lola's that I went to when I was a kid. Even though the old Lola's needed renovation I had never thought that the owners would have went this way. I'm not saying they lost the old Lola's touch, on the contrary it actually captures the essence of the old Lola's and puts it in an actually up to code restaurant.

As we try to sit down we all realize really quickly that we could not have all Emma, Jax, Andy, Me, Diego, Gigi, Maddie, Sophie, and Katie in the one long table so we decided to split up and use the smaller circle tables. Another reason why we did this is because everyone knew if Maddie had to sit at the same table as Emma she would be nagging to everyone for the rest of the day about how she was better than Emma and how she doesn't deserve to sit at a table with her.

I wanted to sit with Diego but Emma make me sit at the table with her, Jax, and Andi. A girl with ruby red hair came over and introduced herself. She said her name was Valerie and she was going to be serving us today. After the others decided on what to eat she ran through the door that went to the kitchen and peeked her head out of the order window. Looking out. I followed her eye stream and saw she was looking at Diego, but when I moved my eyes back to Valerie she popped down, out of view.

I could tell from the commotion coming from the kitchen that our food won't be her for a while. Everyone at our table was fine with that, but not Maddie. She practically lost her shit when she asked Valerie how much longer she was going to have to wait with an anger in her voice and Valerie answered with a nervous I'm not sure. I'm still surprised she didn't cast a spell to speed this process up.

I was so lost in my own world I didn't even notice that Diego had used his cooling power on Maddie's drink and Gigi saw it. Maddie and Diego were now fighting over using a memory erasing spell. Of course they decided that they had to use the spell the keep the magic realm safe. I added that since they have already had to erase her memory like 5 times they should knock her out after they do the spell. That earned me a fake slap from Maddie to my face, but I wasn't scared of that or anything about her (well at least not anymore). Luckily that Valerie girl had ran away after her encounter with Maddie and the wait time, so we didn't have to wipe her memories too.

After that situation was taken care of, Valerie brought out a soup to all three tables even though none of us had ordered it. Maddie was the first to yell.

"What the hell is this, I didn't order this!" she said with such an angry tone I thought she might have used a spell to make her this scary.

"Well... umm..." Valerie stammered, gulping not so quietly.

"Are you just going to stand there like a mumbling idiot or are you going to give me an explanation?" Maddie asked.

Valerie, offended by Maddie, ran right back into the kitchen with the soups. Maddie seemed happy with the fact that she just made a girl her age run away, like a baby to its mother. A few seconds later a guy came out with the soups and walked right up to Maddie with a face of pure anger.

"Listen you stuck up rich kid, the way you talked to Val was incredibly rude." The mystery man said.

"Whoever you are I don't care, and like I said before I didn't order this soup so get the food I ordered or I'm leaving." Maddie said, in a tone of command.

"Chill it Glitter, you'll get your food. If you apologize to Val." The man said, with his man bun length hair.

"Well I don't have to apologize for my food, because I'm sure there's some law that makes that illegal." She retorted, looking at Diego for agreeance. He nodded his head, not wanting to anger Maddie any more.

"Ugh. Whatever, just eat the soup." He exclaimed as he dropped the bowels and soup down on the table. He then went into the kitchen and returned with the mysterious soup for Maddie's Panthers and our table. I was weary of the soup, and my weariness was infact not in vain.
