Chapter 1

Silver was only six when they came, the men wearing green uniforms and funny looking hats. They wanted to take Silver away because of a Anthro’s great ability to run very fast and get through tough obstacles like it was nothing. But as the mother saw it, he was only six and shouldn’t need to go. Little did they know, he could do a bit more than running.

“Bravo OneTwo this is Alpha OneTwo Codename: Ecko do you copy?”

“Loud and clear Ecko, what’s your e.t.?”
“I’m five minutes to objective, over”

“Understood, hang tight and we will move up on your signal”

Silver, known under codename Ecko, was sitting in a batch of trees staring down at an outpost taken form allied control just a few moments ago.

“Operation is a go,” Silver gave his signal.

Silver watched as two teams of four entered the outpost, clearing the enemy out as one was trying to sound the alarm. Silver quickly grabbed his rifle and aimed at the black mask the enemy was wearing, and fired. The loud bang of the .50 caliber is the last thing that rascal heard. The man dropped his weapon, grabbing at his throat, and fell.

Now, Silver is not a cold hearted killer, in-fact he is rather a nice person who finds himself very shy. He can hardly hold a conversation. Silver has medium-long brown hair with silver highlights, silver-blue eyes, and normally wears his blue sweater that was his father’s before he died. And Silver remembered all of it, every last bit.

“Ecko! Ecko, are you there!? Do you copy?” Silver had zoned out.

“Y-yes, I copy”
“We need you down at Firebase Alpha, we have enemy infantry coming from all angles.” The dispatcher had quickly replied.

“Ah, so we did liberate it.” Silver said, jumping from the cliff he was standing on and landing on his feet.

“Yes, we did, just – go get ready for the enemy attack.”

#

Silver had grabbed his anti-tank gun and mounted it on the roof for the recruits that just arrived to use. He then activates the automated AA Flak cannon around the base and watched then fold out of their metal dugouts in the ground. Silver had climbed the cliff with ease and went back to the cover in the trees.

“Base is set, ready to fire”

“Roger that, we have heavy artillery coming in” Dispatcher said while friendly combatant jets flew by overhead. Just as this happened, enemy tanks came rolling in, crushing bushes around the base, Silver jumped with only a knife, which he was holding in his mouth. Once he landed on one of the tanks far below, he opened the hatch as one of the enemy soldiers was heading out. Silver pulled him out with one hand easily and, with the other, stabbed him twice in the throat in a quick succession. In doing so, the others inside heard him and tried to open fire on him. Silver evaded the shots with ease and just threw a grenade inside, blowing the turret off five seconds later. By this time, the AT and AA guns were shooting at the incoming enemy vehicles.

Silver moved on one by one, taking out the enemy tanks easily by hand.

“Get that freak off my tanks!” an enemy general shouted while pointing at Silver. Before the general could go back into the tank, Silver had laid eyes of hatred on him. He quickly dispatched the general by throwing the knife into his throat.

It took the crew the whole day to rid the enemy from the re-liberated outpost. The men were tired as Silver walked by them, unscathed. One of the men stopped in front of him and said, “H-how are you not exhausted? W-we fought all day!” Silver just shrugged him off, he wasn’t good at conversations. Silver put his weapons on his back and stepped outside.

“Ecko, we have sent in EVAC, should be arriving by now.” Dispatcher said as a Cobra helicopter dropped a rope.

“EVAC has arrived, boarding now.” Silver said as he climbed in the Cobra.

“Hey, when I get back to HQ, I’m having me a smoke.” Pilot said.

Chapter 2

“Mom! Mom, no!”

            Bang!

“Momma!”

Silver woke with a jolt, looking to and fro to reassure himself.

Ah, I’m fine, he thought to himself.

Silver got up from his cot and put his jacket on. He sat down in his chair looking solemnly, “I’ll find them, father, I’ll find out who killed her.”

#

Silver was already awake when the morning alarm rang. He had grabbed his stuff and headed out the door. As soon as he stepped into the corridors, Captain stopped him.

“Attention!” He yelled as Silver stood straight like a stiff board.

“At ease, you’re receiving our latest in technology from this point on. That being said, here’s your new dispatcher, th’name’s TARVIS.” The Captain ordered while handing Silver a holographic watch.

            “Sir, yes, sir!” Silver saluted.

            “Carry on.” The Captain ordered.

Silver activated the watch and was very astonished with it.

“Hello, I am TARVIS, you are agent number 1991, codename: Ecko. Nice to meet you.” An automated voice spoke.

            “Objectives.” Silver ordered it.

The watch then showed a location and began speaking, “Mission location: Dravish Research Facility #3. Objective: Go and infiltrate the area to find Commander Anderson’s mission log. Importance: High, reports of time fracture TFMs caused by a random explosion, mission log is needed to gather data.”

“Understood.” Silver said as he was jumping into a transport helicopter.

#

Once he arrived in Dravish, Silver jumped out of the helicopter, landing on his feet far below. He took out his rifle and walked inside the base where enemy IMD’s and friendly security bots were frozen in place.

“Whoa, so this is time fracture, eh?”

“W-Warning: conditions unstable” TARVIS glitched out a little.

Silver was cautious not to touch anything in the TFM. He stepped into a room and saw quick movement. Raising his gun, he yelled, “Who’s there? Come out or I’ll shoot.”

A little white rabbit, “Oh, it’s just y- “out of nowhere some demonic figure devoured the rabbit. Silver turned tail and ran after shooting a few rounds that bounced off of it. He ran out the door as the horrific creature followed him and quickly rappelled up an elevator shaft. Seeing as the creature couldn’t climb the cable, he calmed down and continued his search. Silver looked at the ping on his radar emitted by hologram from his watch. He followed it into what seemed like a research lab. He looked around, spotting Anderson’s body.

“There you are,” he said, grabbing the helmet cam.

“Ecko to HQ, I have the ordinance, do you copy?”

Nothing.

“This is Ecko to HQ, do you copy?”

Still nothing.

Silver stopped trying when he saw more of those demonic figures, the ones that were black with fiery-orange eyes. He slowly took three steps back and turned to run as the black mass hurtled toward him.

“Shit!” He yelled as he tripped, getting right back up. He had pulled out his magnum and started shooting at the tempered glass windows.

            Crack

He shot again…

            Crack

And again…

            Shatter!

He jumped out the window and landed outside, three stories bellow.

“Nrgh!!” he moaned as he felt the shock coming from the ground and through his legs.

“This is Ecko to HQ, do you read me!?” he spoke, partially grunting from slight pain.

“Load and clear, that was some shit stunt you pulled off there.”

“Let’s never speak of this again,” Silver spoke, not grunting anymore.

During the time he waited for the helicopter, Silver’s hands were shaking faster than ever even possible.

“What the hell?” he said, looking at his hands as they blurred from the speed.

After a while, his hands stabilized and TARVIS finally exited its glitch.

“EVAC approaching. Warning: trace amounts of TFMs detected.” Silver quickly suppressed the warnings before the pilot asked about it.

“Take us home, pilot.” He said eagerly.

Chapter 3

Fire, lots of it. Gun shots, back and forth, to and fro.

#
Silver woke up, gasping for air.

What the hell is wrong with me?

He got up and got his stuff ready to go. As he put his watch on, Captain came into the door.

"I need you to come with me." he said in a serious tone.

"Yes, sir." Silver replied, following the Captain.

Once they were in the op room, Captain locked the door and began to speak.

"We have discovered immense amounts of TMF's when you returned to base."

"Yeah, go on." Intrigued, Silver listened.

"And when we scanned the data log, it had nothing, none, zip."

"Wait, so you think it's me?"

"Yes, but you should've froze in place if it were you, with no possibilities of return."

"That's absurd."

"I know, I know, just let me make sure." the Captain held out a scanner and it went off as soon as it was within arms reach of Silver.

"My lord! You should be dead right now!"

"What!?" Silver said, confused.

"You have such a high amount of TMF's that you should've been crushed in on yourself!"

"O-oh?"

"Very interesting, I'll have a research team work in secret, anyway, you're dismissed."

"O-okay." Silver was shocked.

I-I should be dead right now!?

"Objective: secure enemy outpost and provide back up for squad team Delta One." TARVIS spoke suddenly.

"Understood." Silver replied to make the hologram disappear.

Silver grabbed his gear, but this time there was an odd looking disk in his stuff. He looked at it as Captain passed by.

"Oh, that, put it on the back of your exo-armor and press it in. It's a new design for portable armor." Captain said.

"Oh okay." Silver replied quickly and put it on his exo-armor which was the new ISX-360 model. Silver went to the hanger and got on a 30mm turret on a truck as it pulled out.

#

Upon arriving, Delta One was already taking heavy fire and Alpha One, Silver's team, was spotted. Silver opened fire on the anti-personnel turrets and immediately took them out.

"Move, move, move!" Delta One leader yelled.

"Hurry, you've only got 'til they come back online!" Beta One leader yelled as they revealed their position.

Delta moved to the next line of cover as the AP guns turned on and fired again. Silver repeated this process until the teams were inside. He then ran after them, avoiding the shots with ease.

Once inside, he saw Delta One was cornered at the entrance. Silver grabbed two knives from the underside of his jacket and ran right toward the enemy.

"I love my job!" he shouted as the enemy tried to eliminate him. He quickly ran up to a wall, jumping off it and using the momentum to nail a kick into an IMD's cheek bone.

"Shoot him!" One of the IMD's yelled, "shoot him before he kills us!"

"Oh, no you don't!" Silver began running towards the enemy, dodging every bullet. Once he was about arm's reach, he had vanished and reappeared behind the enemy, taking him out by twisting his neck.

"What just happened?" He said, looking at his hands again.

"What the hell!?" Him, along with some of his allies said simultaneously. The enemy had all ran at this point and Silver ignored what had happened. Just as they were about to do there last and final push, the base had exploded.
