Dedication
For each and every person who has been told they cannot be successful because of their gender, ethnicity, where they grew up, or simply because there are a lot of negative people in the world. YOU ARE POWERFUL AND CAN BECOME ANYTHING YOU WANT TO BE. Just know, it’s not going to be easy. You will encounter many failures, negative experiences, but continue to find ways to make your dream reality. GOD BLESS YOU.

Foreword
It takes years of tireless dedication and unimaginable hard work to build a “legacy”. Approximately one year ago I met a young man that may just have what it takes to build. A quiet leader, hard-working, energetic young man approaches me about doing an internship as an Athletic Administrator in a small high school in Winslow, ME. I was hesitant at first to take on a college student, assuming it would require more work than I was ready for.
It wasn’t long that I knew I was wrong in my judgment. He asked questions, but not too many. He anticipated in doing work before I asked him, but not too much. He had a burning desire to learn the profession while building relationships with students, coaches, and community members. He has a relentless type of work ethic, a state of mind that he can achieve in any circumstance, to be strong, to survive regardless of the environment. He craves the end result in everything he does. He is not looking for that one decent performance, rather everyday perfection.
This young man will not get off track. He is committed to excellence, which sound very simple, but in my experience many people that strive for excellence get off track. He is strong, tenacious, and energetic. Eli is one of the up and coming Athletic Directors in our time. There is no doubt he will develop young men and women. There is no doubt he will build a “legacy.”
