Palo Alto Courthouse, April 16th, 2012, Case #1756.

"Reveka Matthews, on 3 accounts of destructive behaviour in a public place as well as trying to mimic and insult and officer, you are sentenced to 124 hours of community service at The Grass Valley Psychiatric Institute. Next", announced the judge as she waved in one of the many teenagers that were waiting in an awkward and unsettling line.

 

 Reveka put both hands underneath the table in the court room. 

- "Oh fuck it".

Reveka's parents had hired the most successful lawyer in Palo Alto. He turned to Reveka, "This is good, don't be angry, you were lucky here".

 

Reveka took his hands from underneath the table and wiped them on the side of his $65 navy blue suit he purchased only hours before his court case was took take place. 

"no, no I'm not angry, I just touched gum underneath the table, I hate it when this happens".

The stitching was still holding together the pockets of his suit. So he had every item he was carrying shoved into his pockets. Two thick bulges sat on either side of his hips, making him look even more hopeless and grubby.

A thick wallet full of vouchers and discount cards, a phone and his antiseptic ointment. Reveka had horrible OCD, and the thought of having gum on his hands completely through his mind off his community service. All that mattered now was getting the germs off his 3 finger tips. 


Reveka shook his solicitors hand, making him even more uneasy at the thought of germs building up. 

"Thanks Reveka, ill invoice your parents for todays doings. Be safe". The solicitor walked out of the courtroom and disseapread into the crowed of people commuting to work. 

Reveka dosed a couple of drops of disinfection onto his hands and pulled out his phone and announced to his friends the punishment that had just been handed down to him. He wasn't really fazed. To him, this was a vacation. He didn't really work much. His parents and most of his friends usually had money handed to them like candy. He arrived home, let out a big sigh and took off his cheap suit. He knew it was cheap, but he thought he looked like a king in it. He never really got to wear a suit. Reveka flung open his laptop, loaded up his browser and searched, 'The Grass Valley Psychiatric Institute.' 

Images of people looking over views in large groups, eating meals in halls and single beds with light blue sheets instantly painted an image of discontent. He knew that when he was there from day one, he was going to be disconnected from the world for 6 hours a day. He nudged it off, closed his laptop and
