The dead was eating the flesh from the living,a group of survivors were watching from a good distance away,soaked to the skin,hungry and tired they hadn't yet found a place secure enough to hide from the flesh eating 

dead.the leader of the group of six was young man named Walter sims,he had good leadership skills but very sloppy in saving people,,this cost him dear,leaving the group in the alleyway trying to save a man from being eatin,he was swamped by the dead,tearing and ripping at him,the living dead was fighting over his limbs,fighting to get a peice to eat,it was a gruesome sight.Another man in the group was dod noble,in his late thirties he had to get the group out of the sidelane or they too were next.The only thing dod could do was to break the remaining glass on a window and push the survivors through,it was tight but dod barely made it,the living dead had almost took a bite out of his ankles,"help me with this pallet jack",lifting it up to stop the deads hands from reaching in,,"Jesus that was close"jack piped,"shhh"quite",,Dod was trying to drown out the dead outside to listen,looking around it appeared to be a chemist that they landed up in,,"there""over there"there was a door at the bottom of the room with a blood stained hand print on the handle and half way up the door,the place was trashed, but all of the medical care was all there,however all of the shelves were Brocken,"There is something behind that door "grabbing a peice of shelving dod headed over to the door,dos pulled open the door and was greeted by a zombie chewing on a corpse on the floor,"Whack"the zombies head had burst like melon,dod couldn't believe how soft it's head was,,must be with decay he thought to himself,,"grab what you can we are not staying her long in the morning we are out of here"the group started fill there little bags with goods,dawn had past and it was getting dark,dod was looking out through the slats of the pallet,the dead was everywhere,bumping into each other,roaming endlessly,moaning and groaning ,sitting back down dod told the group they were safe as long as they were quite,"get some sleep guys"I will stay up,dod was looking at the group,I must keep these guys alive he thought to himself,few hours went by before dos gave jack a nudge,,"hey jack wake up ","what is it?"your watch",I need some sleep"ok",,,,"jack don't fall asleep?"I won't" day light is in a hour or two,,wake me up then,,"sure",dod swapped places with jack so that the corner was warm,,"DOD",,,"yeh I know"the group was still asleep,,Dod was looking out through the paler again,trying to adjust his eyes to the light he notice a grocery store,,next door was hunting shop called "andys ammo",,Dod had a little smile on his face,,turning away from the window he crouched down and spoke in a low voice "GUYS".."what,what is it?"food that's what! and possibly weapons,"what where? Bob said,,I never saw it last night but across the street there is a grocer and armoury!,,"jack are you up for coming along?""yeh sure why not"..the rest of you keep quite,,Kelly,Bob put the pallet back when we slip out!,having a little look before they went out,,shit they are still there!"yeh,but they are spread out jack",,we need weapons,!..rummaging through the broken shelving the got to identical bars of steel,,"Fucksake,this will have to do Dod said",let's go,",,Bob,and Kelly pulled the pallet of and the two men slipped through unnoticed,,keeping low to the ground they made heast,,running and dodging and smashing all the way to  andys,,"dod was about to smash the glass,but thought about trying the handle,,"I can't belave it!,it's open",,they both entered the shop locking the door,"my God would you look at that jack said in estonishment",,grab that Bergan and start filling it fast,,"dod began smashing the glass cabinets taking out huge hunting knives,Barrettas,and other powerful weapons,,the two men were like kids in a candy shop,,Dod paused for a second,,"dammit",,"what is it jack asked?""there coming this way"",,looking around the shop dod couldn't belave his eyes,,"JACK",,hep me with this""holy shit"it was a laser tracking gun,God only knows where Andy got this gun from,it was military grade,,it was heavy thing but they positioned it at the door,,"what now"fuck I don't know"?,,push that button,!!pushing the little red button at the top,the gun spun 360 degrees and making some weird noises,and there was a very bright laser beam on the door,,"well",,fuckit",no sooner when dod pushed the same button the gun sprung into life,,"BANG BANG BANG",,the drone was deafening it blasted the door off its hinges and started to cut down the dead like grass,arms,legs,torsos,,body parts were flying everywhere,,all dod and jack could do was cover there ears,,only a few minutes went by,when the gun ran out of ammo,,by this time the street was completely clear of the dead,,"holyshit that was awesome jack piped,"we have to move now,",jack get the group I will open the grocery,jack took off like a Olympic athlete,"man the grocery is open too!" no one lock up anymore dod thought to himself"there were a few straggling eaters in the shop but nothing that dod couldn't handle,,pulling out his large machete he started to slice into the deads heads,the group was already at the door,,"QUICK WE NEED TO GET THESE SHUTTERS DOWN,THERE COMING",,"fuck",,"there must be a office with controls for the shutters,hold them of till I come back",the glass doors were shut and locked but the dead was already clawing at the glass leaving blood everywhere.Dod found a set of stairs leading up to another level,sprinting up he turned a corner to find one of the employees walking the corridor,,she reached her hands out to grab dod but to no avail,Dod sliced her face in two with his trusty machete,,she fell to the ground like a wet rag,,there were only two doors upstairs,one was the toilet,the other a canteen and office,,canteen was emty as well as the toilet,,opening the office door there was a dead man face down on the controls,,with no hesitation Dod slayed the corpse,talking out loud,,"shutters,shutters"where the fuck is the shutter button"there it was under the dead mans hand,he surley was going to shut them but could make it,dod pressed the button no sooner as the dead began to crack the glass,,everyone gave off a sigh of relief,,dod made it back down stairs,"everyone here?",,Myah are you ok?,,,she was crying clutching Kelly leg,,"she was only a six year old girl ,Dod didn't know to much about any of the survivors but he thought that Kelly and Myah were related but he couldn't be sure, he didn't won't to ask either"she's fine but scared"",Kelly said in a frustrated voice,,she too was frightened ,listen there is a canteen upstairs..."go up there and see if any of the appliances work",,I need to get rid of these corpses before they stink up the place,,Myah,Kelly,Bob,jack,Brian headed for the stairs,,"JACK",,he turned,"I need you here",,,I need a hand with these rotten bastards"",sure",,jack was only in his twenties but he had been battle hardened by the apocalypse,,

 "Dod,how do we get rid of the bodies?",,"easy..we chuck  them out the office window",,"office window?,,is it wide enough?,,"sure,,and if not we will make them fit,,",,jack let's go through there pockets see if there is anything useful..."right jack are you ready?",,yeh,all I got was a stick a gum four fags,and a lighter,,oh,,and these keys,,"what about you"a shitty little torch,fags and I also have keys,,fucknose what there for",,come on let's get these bodies up stairs,,the two men were knackered carrying the corpses,,"right let's try and get one out the window dod said,,pulling and tugging,and lifting..it was hard work,they had the head and torso out the window,,"come on just the fuckin legs to go",,the bodies easily fitted through the window but getting them there was a real struggle,,"there,,,jack said,,the body fell two stories,,bouncing off a parked car at the bottom,,Dod and jack found it amusing,,they both had a little giggle,,"OK four more to go"",,I can't be arsed said jack"come on jack if we don't get them out,the place will reek,"yeh your right"the two men struggled for the next hour and a half getting the bodies out the window, each one hitting the car below,,"thankfuck said jack am knackered now,,,,They both headed for the canteen,"hey Kelly,,is there power?,,"yeh everything works,she said with excitement,"well let's eat I'm starving,let's go down and see what we have,,"hey guys there's a shower in here,,Bob said,,there was a small cupboard with a shower and a towel rack,,strange to have shower in a grocery,but hey am not complaining said Dod,,they all headed down stairs to check the grub situation,,all of the fruit and veg and dairys had spoiled but everything else was good to go,,Kelly and Myah headed of with a basket,,"bang,bang,,on the shutters,there was more and more coming,,the dead knew there was fresh meat inside,,Brian came up beside Dod,"don't worry!there is no way they are getting through those shutters,,"dod wasn't convinced,he gave a half smile to agree with him, but he knew if there was enough of them it could crumble under the weight,,"let's eat"trying to change the subject,,Dod turned of the lights down stairs.giving one last glance at the door he and the rest headed for the canteen.Guts full of grub the group chatted for a while, befor Myah said to Kelly"I'm getting tired now,,""yeh we should see to sleeping arrangements,,"the office would be a place for putting our heads down,,"I saw some flacey blankets down stairs Brian said they are still in the packaging,,"yeh for being a grocery,it's got some good stuff in it,,"ok Brian nip down and grab all of the blankets and anything else we could use,"Bob,,,give him a hand,,the two of them left
