Introduction

How long have you been looking for your Soul Mate?  Have you found them?  Are you sure?

Or maybe you've given up on the idea of Soul Mates completely because every time you think you've found him/her, it goes haywire and you end up hurting just a bit more than last time.

Or even worse, you've hit the point where you don't really even believe in love at all because you've been hurt so often that you've come to expect it as soon as someone hits on you.

Fuck. That. Shit.

I'm going to tell you a secret.

Soul Mates Suck.

Or more specifically, Soul Mate RELATIONSHIPS suck.  Big hairy balls.

They're SUPPOSED TO.

Trust me on this, there's a reason Soul Mates Suck, and it's not because you weren't meant to be together or that you were together at the wrong time or any of that bull.

And to find out WHY soul mate relationships suck so bad, we have to go to the very beginning.  The whole reason for this LIFE thing, and how you get hooked up with soul mates in the first place.

Are you ready?

What are Soul Mates?

Let's start by defining Soul Mate, as it will be used in this book.

A Soul Mate is someone with whom you have made a soul agreement to come together in this life in order to explore intensely emotional life experiences.

Simple as that.

Now, this causes a little bit of conflict with the way a lot of people would like to define Soul Mates.  You know what I mean.  How many times have you wished for a Soul Mate, and you were really wishing for, "That one true love who will totally understand me and totally adore me, but let me be me, and not be a jerk, and won't lie or cheat or steal, and will stay with me forever, but still give me space when I want it."

You know.  That Perfect Partner.  The Cosmic Connection.  That one you see fireworks the minute your eyes connect, and you get tingles to your toes the first time you kiss.

And sometimes, those might be Soul Mates.  But there's a lot more to Soul Mates than just those blissfully perfect (and pretty much non-existent) relationships.

And you have more than one of them.
