Introduction

This is a poem I wrote awhile ago, and my hope is to one day publish it as an illustrated children's book.

Enjoy.

He was always asked

From Whence he came

Yet the answer

Was forever the same

He came from London

He came from France

He came from places

Where they liked to dance

Where they danced high

Where they danced low

Dances that were fast

Dances that were slow

Dances with bells

Jingling here and there

Many towns there are

Where they dance without a care

He danced as he walked

From each quirky town

He danced right-way-up

He danced upside-down

He danced for queens

He danced for kings

He danced side-to-side

He danced so many things

A travelling dancer was he

Who danced as he went

He carried no belongings

Not even a simple tent

Just his clothes and his shoes

And the bells on his hat

Nothing else he needed

Except his dancing cat

So, whenever asked

The answer remained the same

He was a travelling dancer

From many places, he came
