The Prophecy

In the dark of the night somewhere across the sea a battle is about to be forged. The only hope for the survival of the people of Egypt was its three young Princesses, for they were the great prophecy come true. There was once a prophecy set down that three daughters of Egypt would rise up to protect the land at the time of a great war, they would be the heart and soul of the Egyptian People. They would protect the sacred trinity of Truth, Justice and Peace. They did arise at a time before the great war and they would be the saviors of Egypt the eldest was name Katara she was the protector of Truth. The middle daughter, Kaylanna was the protector of Justice at the tip of her sword you would either pay for your insolence or be saved. She was said to be the strongest and the wisest of all her sisters. She was all so said to be the greatest warrior of them all. The youngest and wildest at heart, Makara was the protector of Peace. Though at her heart she was not peaceful, and she would be the cause of great heartbreak throughout the land but that would not come until after the Great War had been fought and won.

When the war was said to be coming the Great Pharaoh called his three daughters to him he readied his armies and the armies of his allies from other lands. The Three girls who were at the time 16, 14 and 13 came to their father and he told them about their destiny and that they were the only hope for the survival of Egypt.

"What is it you have called us for Father?" Kaylanna asked she and her sisters knew a war was coming and out of all of them Kaylanna was ready to fight if the need came for she was a true warrior at heart.

"My girls my precious daughters, I have called you here to tell you of your destiny. As you know a war is coming, you three are the only hope for our people. There is a great Prophecy that foretold of your births and of this day you three must go to the temple there the priest will show you your destiny." Their father told them

"But we are so young my father how can we save our country?" Makara asked

"The Gods foretold of this future for all of you, they will protect you and their power shall become yours, now go." Their Father said

The three made their way to the temple where the priest just as their father said he would show them the prophecy and took them to the very depths of the temple where they found three swords, upon them they had Pentagrams and inscribed were their names and each had a different saying

"My children these swords were forged by the great gods themselves, you must each claim your own and together with these you will save Egypt. May the power of the Gods protect and keep you." The priest said

Kaylanna was the first to step up and retrieve her sword when she placed her hand upon it she felt warm from the inside, she said that she felt as if she knew everything would be all right. Deep down inside Kaylanna had always been strong and had always had a natural power of sixth sense she knew what was always happening around her, her father had once told her that she had a niche for being in the right place at the right time. The first time she had ever used a sword had been when she was about five years old she had been outside the palace away from her guards when a man had tried to take her. To the amazement of all who saw what happened they said she actually lifted a grown man’s sword and had beheaded the man. Her strength and power were known to her people from that day forward.

Katara was next to step forward when she placed her hand upon her sword she saw all the beauty and all the hate in the land at once. Katara could always tell when you were lying to her and she always sought the truth. Katara and Kaylanna would be the ones to bring about the proper punishment the people were amazed by the two and how their father always heeded their word for if it came from their mouths it would be both the truth and just at the same time.

Makara went last she was the youngest and yet the most outspoken of the three when she reached for her sword she felt nothing but peace, she was after all the Peacemaker. It was said that no matter where she went people would feel at ease and peaceful around her, she could clam any argument with just her presence, though deep in her heart Makara knew that peace was not the path to follow and she would one day betray her two sisters.

When the girls had gotten their swords and the priest had finished his ritual they left for the palace but they would have to travel through the camps of the armies of their fathers allies and they were very savage men. Though they had no fear to walk among them was dangerous.

As they walked back through the camps some of the men not realizing who they were, were trying to grab at them a few through it would be funny to see what would happen if they shot one of them what the other two would do. One of the men readied his bow and arrow and let the arrow go, Kaylanna knew it was coming she moved her two sisters out of the way and turned around in time to grab it out of the air as if it were frozen in mid-air. The men were shocked and Kaylanna was angry just then the leader of the army happened to be passing and he saw what happened he was impressed by Kaylanna's ability to grab the arrow out of the air.

"I demand to know who shot this arrow at me and my sisters; I want him brought to me immediately." Kaylanna demanded to the leader of the army his name was Larkin.

"Who do you think you are making demands of me child you have no right to be walking through my camps especially this late at night." Larkin said looking at Kaylanna not realizing at first who she was

"I am Kaylanna Princess of Egypt. This is my land and if you do not watch yourself you will feel my wrath at the tip of my sword." Kaylanna said and she meant every word of it.

"I am sorry my Princess I will find out who it was and I will bring them to you." Larkin said realizing he had just made a big mistake he had heard of Kaylanna and of what she could do, not that he feared her but the Egyptian army would crush him.

"See that you do when you find him bring him to the training yard that is where you will find me." Kaylanna said she got her two sisters and went back to the palace once they returned her sisters went back to the palace and Kaylanna went to the training yard.

She was there for the better part of two hours when she finally got tired of waiting she was getting ready to leave and go back into the palace when Larkin and two other men came carrying a third who looked to be pretty beaten.

"Your Highness I brought the man that tried to shoot you and your sisters as you requested." Larkin said

"I can see that but I did not ask you to beat him before you brought him to me, I only asked that you bring him. That is no matter however I will still teach him a lesson that he won't forget." Kaylanna said

"Princess all that I ask is that you do not kill him, I know what he has done he should be put to death but my army needs him." Larkin said

"I don't plan on killing him though I do plan on teaching him a lesson that he will never forget in his life" Kaylanna said

"Listen Princess you know that my men respect me and they need to know that I am not afraid of anything even you." Larkin said

"I understand that but you do realize that once this is all said and done that everyone in the world will fear us." Kaylanna said

"That maybe a fact but for now you must at least let my men believe that I am unafraid of you." Larkin said

"So be it." Kaylanna said

Kaylanna walked back over to the court yard and looked at the man that now stood before her.

"I want to know why you tried to kill my sisters and myself, if you do not answer me then I will kill you right here and now." Kaylanna said

"Who said that I had to answer you?" The man said

"I did I am Princess Kaylanna and I order you to answer me now." Kaylanna said the more the man taunted her, the more and angrier she became and the wind began to pick up and lighting began to flash and fire filled her eyes.

"You are nothing but a child and I need not answer any of your questions, princess or not, you do not rule over me." The man said

This enraged Kaylanna to the point where she let her anger go the lighting flashes began to fall all around them not striking anyone but in a circle around them taunting that they might strike someone if they made one false step.

"Do you want me to the let the lighting strike and kill you now or would you like to answer my questions?" Kaylanna asked

The man got the point and got down on his knees at her feet she knew that she had proven her point to him she began to calm down and with that the lighting began to die down though it did not completely stop because she was still upset.

"Princess forgive me I did not realize it will not happen again of that you can be sure." The man said.

"See that it doesn't and if you even think of raising your bow to another innocent person while you are on my land you will answer directly to me." Kaylanna said as she did you could see flames flash through her eyes as that happened a great fire erupted from nowhere and surrounded her and the man in front of her.

"I swear on my life that I will not harm another innocent person." The man said

"Be sure that you do not." Kaylanna said she turned and the fire died away as quickly as it started. "Get him out of my sight."

"Princess, let me assure you that I will not allow this to happen again and if it does I will personally see to it that the person be punished." Larkin said he now was a little afraid of Kaylanna he did not realize just how powerful she truly was.

"If anything like this should happen again General then whoever is responsible is to be brought to me immediately I will not allow your men to go wild on my land this is my home and any further behavior like this will be seen as an act of war upon my people and trust me General you do not want me as your enemy." Kaylanna said getting her point across very clearly.

"As you wish Princess." Larkin said he knew not to make her angry that would be a mistake. With that he turned and left with his men once they reached the base camp Larkin told his men that he had some business to attend to and left them to walk the rest of the way back to their camp. Larkin made his way to the edge of the Nile River where a young girl waited for him you could not see her face; she had on a cape with a hood that covered her face.

"I didn't think you would be here considering everything that has been happening these past few days. If your father was to find us he would surely kill me." Larkin said approaching the girl

"Of that I know but I do not worry about my father he will not go against what I say he knows that, that would be a mistake and that he cannot afford not on the brink of war." The girl said turning and removing the hood from her face it was Kaylanna.

"You know Princess that our meetings will soon have to end our enemy draws nearer with each passing of the sun." Larkin said

"When this war comes you are to stay by my side and no matter what happens we will fight together I have faith in my sisters abilities but I am not sure how well they will do when this war is finally upon us with you by my side I will feel much safer." Kaylanna said

"You should not worry you are a strong warrior I have seen you fight and you frighten even me and your sister Katara will never leave your side she is a great warrior like yourself. Makara though there is something about her that leaves me feeling uneasy as if peace does not follow in her footsteps yet instead trembles at her feet." Larkin said

Kaylanna knew what he was talking about she had often felt that way about her younger sister as well. She was said to be the peacemaker yet in Kaylanna's heart she knew that her sister truly did not believe in peace and that was something that she would have to deal with later when the war was finally over and done with but for now she needed both of her sisters to stand by her side if this war was going to go in their favor.

"Just promise me that you will stay by my side no matter what happens or how heated the battle gets." Kaylanna said

"I promise Princess. You really should be going back to the palace Kaylanna there are assassins out looking to get rid of you and you can never be sure where they are lurking." Larkin said

"If they were here my love I would be able to sense them, do not worry I will be fine." Kaylanna said "Now come over here and kiss me before I get angry."

"As you wish my Princess." Larkin said as he walked over to her and held her close and kissed her.

But as they embraced neither one knew that a pair of assassins was nearby planning to eliminate Kaylanna. They snuck up as close as they could get to the two without either one hearing them and one readied his bow and arrow and fired at Kaylanna she never knew what was coming until it was too late. Though she got lucky the arrow hit her in the shoulder. She fell into Larkin's arms and then to the ground

"Kaylanna, my love are you all right?" Larkin said when he realized what had happened.

"Larkin, get me out of here you have to remove the arrow." Kaylanna said

"I should get you to the doctor not remove the arrow." Larkin said

"No, you must remove the arrow now my love, it is coated in poison if you do not remove it, it will kill me." Kaylanna said she was already beginning to feel weak from the effects of the poison. "Larkin give me your bow and two of your arrows."

"What are you going to do with them my love I need to get you away from here?" Larkin said

"I know where they are and if you give me your bow and arrows now I can still get them from here." Kaylanna said even though she was feeling weaker by the second she knew that she had to get rid of the assassins before they could tell anyone about what had happened. Larkin handed her, his bow and arrows Kaylanna took two of the arrows and readied them on the bow at the same time and fired, in the distance you could hear the sound of two bodies falling to the ground.

"You were right you got them now please let me get you out of here." Larkin said picking Kaylanna up in his arms and carrying her back to the palace he knew he would have a lot of explaining to do when he did get her there but that didn't matter to him, he just wanted to get her to safety.

By the time Larkin got Kaylanna back to the palace she had lost consciousness and was hardly breathing Katara was the first one to see Larkin carrying her sister, what both Kaylanna and Larkin had not known was that Katara knew about their secret meetings by the Nile and of their love for one another. When she saw her sister she ran over to Larkin to show him where to take Kaylanna.

"Larkin what happened?" Katara asked

"She was shot by a poisoned arrow we didn't know anyone was around. Wait how do you know about me?" Larkin asked

"I followed my sister one night to see what it was she was up to and I saw the both of you don't worry I am not going to tell my father, follow me and I will show you to her room. I am going to have to go and get my father and tell him what has happened but do not worry I will not tell him about the two of you, I will simply tell him that you found her and she had been injured." Katara said

"Thank you but why are you not going to tell him?" Larkin asked

"That is my sister's place to tell my father." Katara said "As long as you promise me that you will take care of her and you will never do anything to harm her."

"I would never do anything that would harm your sister, besides if I ever did I would never live to tell about it she would kill me." Larkin said as he followed Katara up to Kaylanna's room so that he could put her down and she could go and get her father and the doctor.

Larkin laid Kaylanna down upon her bed and sat by her side as Katara ran off to get her father, when the Pharaoh arrived he looked at his daughter and could not help but want to cry she looked as if she was already dead. Kaylanna had turned so pale that there was almost no color in her face. If you looked at her too quickly you wouldn't be able to notice the fact that she was still breathing though barely.

"My daughter is dead, how did this happen? This is not supposed to be possible." The Pharaoh said as he fell to his knees beside his daughter's body.

"Father don't give up Kaylanna's not dead yet, she is still breathing she will be able to fight the poison you just have to give her a chance." Katara said

"Yes, but there still is a chance that she won't make it through the night then what will we do?" Pharaoh said

"Sir when I found Kaylanna she was still able to talk slightly to me, she told me to tell you not to give up on her that she would fight and as long as you didn't give up on her, she would be able to survive through this." Larkin said even though he knew he was lying.

"How is it you came to find my daughter?" Pharaoh asked

"I was walking along the banks of the Nile getting in some last moments of peace before this war is finally upon us." Larkin said though he knew he was lying he didn't need to start and fights with Kaylanna's father right at this moment. He knew that Kaylanna needed him here by her side to help her through the night.

"Father" Kaylanna said weakly opening her eyes slightly enough to see everyone standing around her

"My precious daughter what can I do for you?" Pharaoh asked

"There is nothing that any of you can do, I will be all right by morning do not worry all of you go to bed. General I ask that you stay here by my side while I am at my weakest I will need all the protection that I can get and since it was you that saved my life I am asking you to watch over me. You have earned my trust and my gratitude, now the rest of you off to bed." Kaylanna said as her eyes closed

"Well then I guess that we should all be off to bed then." Katara said

"How can you just leave your sister like this?" Pharaoh asked

"Father, you heard her she said that she would be fine by morning and trust me if Kaylanna said it herself then I believe that she will be, so we should do as she says and go to bed. For all we know this war could be upon us by day break and we all need our rest." Makara said

"Sir I will watch over your daughter as she has asked me to do and if anything changes I will have someone wake you immediately I assure you that no one will disturb Kaylanna tonight." Larkin said he was afraid that Kaylanna wouldn't make it through the night and he would have to watch the women he loved more than anything die right in front of him while he was powerless to stop it from happening

"Then General you better keep to your word, if anything happens to my daughter before day break then I will hold you personally responsible and the punishment will be more then you will be able to bear. Good night my daughters sleep well and pray that your sister makes it through this long night ahead." Pharaoh said and walked off to bed

"Goodnight General, Katara I will see you both in the morning let us hope that Kaylanna will make the night like she has said that she will." Makara said and went off to bed herself after her father

"Larkin, if anything should happen or she begins to get worse send for me before my father, I will do my best to try and help her heal herself, I know my sister and she is strong but I am not sure just how strong and I know for a fact that she would not be able to handle something happening to you. Goodnight I will see you in the morning, goodnight Kaylanna may the Lord and Lady protect and keep you through the night, may there loving arms keep you warm and may there healing hands be laid upon you and heal you by morning light." Katara said as she kissed her sisters head noting that Kaylanna felt very, very hot to her lips which meant that she was burning with a very high fever which was not good.

"Good night Princess and if anything happens I will send for you right away." Larkin said as he watched Katara walk out of the room now he was alone with Kaylanna in her room where no one else could see them.

"Kaylanna my love please you must be all right I don't know what I would do without you. If you do not survive I do not know what your sisters or your father will do without you, they need you and I need you so please my love stay strong and fight I know you are strong enough to make it through this long dark night ahead." Larkin said holding Kaylanna's hand and kissing her forehead like her sister had before he too noted that her head felt hot to the touch and that worried him.

As the moon drifted slowly through the sky and night drew on Kaylanna became restless and Larkin became very frightened he was not sure what to do so he had sent for her sister to come and stay with him. Upon entering Kaylanna's room Katara became very worried she could tell that Kaylanna was delirious with fever.

"Katara, I am sorry to wake you but I did not know what to do, Kaylanna has become quite restless and she burns like I have never felt. What do we do?" Larkin said you could hear the fear in his voice and though he had not slept a wink tiredness was not even creeping up on him.

"I can try a few potions that I have in my room I will get them and come right back, while I am gone try and talk to her see if maybe you can talk to her wake her somehow, maybe by waking her getting her to talk to us may help her hold on longer." Katara said as she ran out to go get the potions from her room.

"Kaylanna, my love if you can hear me you need to hold on, talk to me my love if you can. Open your eyes Kaylanna talk to me I need to hear your voice to know that you are still with me." Larkin said talking to Kaylanna praying that he got some reaction out of her

"Larkin, the pain I cannot take the pain my love. I am trying to fight the poison but I am tired and my body is shutting down I can feel it; I do not have much strength left to keep fighting. Know that I love you, I always have and always will whatever happens please do not leave my side tonight." Kaylanna said though her voice was barely above a whisper and her eyes looked half dead.

"I know that it must be bad my love but you have to hold on. I won't let you give up on me or your sisters especially not your people they all need you. Talk to me Kaylanna, please keep talking to me don't give up." Larkin said he almost started to cry but knew that he had to stay strong for her.

By that point Katara had just returned with the potions and heard Larkin talking to Kaylanna though she could hear what her sister was saying she had to strain to hear it.

"Larkin please I cannot hold on any longer it is too much for me. I know that I have to try and stay strong but I don't think that I can hold on any longer. Katara my sister you are here please you have to help me I cannot hang on much longer." Kaylanna said turning to her sister.

"Kaylanna, drink this I think it will help. You have to stay strong no matter what happens never give up." Katara said holding the vial to her sister's lips as Kaylanna drank it down and fell back into an unconscious state. "Let us hope that it will help or the wrath that my father will bring down will be damning to us all."

"Katara do you really think she will make it through this even she did not sound convinced that she would." Larkin said sounding very, very worried

"We had better hope that she makes it through because without her I don't know what hope our people will have to make it through this war." Katara said "I am off to bed now call me again if anything changes."

"Goodnight again princess and sleep well." Larkin said watching Katara go then looking back at Kaylanna. He bent to kiss her head again and noticed maybe all too hopefully that it seemed to be cooler then it was and as he watched her sleep he thought that she was breathing easier.

Cool Story :)

The last dawn before war

Larkin must have dozed off for a short time because when he opened his eyes the sun was just peaking over the horizon through the windows in Kaylanna's room and when he looked next to him at where she had been sleeping the night before she was gone. Frightened beyond all fear Larkin jumped out of the bed and began walking through the room only to find Kaylanna standing on the terrace looking out and the rising sun.

"Kaylanna you are awake. How are you feeling my love?" Larkin said approaching her from behind

Kaylanna turned to face him and where he thought he would see happiness to be alive and joy at seeing him there was nothing but pain, sorrow and total anger in her eyes he could tell though by looking at her that she had as she said recovered during the night and he could all so tell that the poison was totally out of her system thanks to the help of her sister though he did not know what it was that Katara had given her all he knew was that it had helped.

"Yes, my love I am awake and I am fine. Thanks to Katara I was able to let go long enough to kill the poison in my system and recover. I died in your arms last night that was the only way to get the poison to leave my system. But the potion that my sister gave me was able to bring me back to life by giving me the power of immortality." Kaylanna said walking to Larkin and holding him close.

"But wait my love that doesn't make any sense how did the potion give you immortality wouldn't you have had to be an immortal to begin with? Then why my love do you look like someone has broken your heart?" Larkin asked but before Kaylanna could answer her father had walked in and found them.

"General what is the meaning of this unhand my daughter immediately." The Pharaoh ordered.

Larkin let go of Kaylanna though the look in her eyes when he did told him that she was angry at the interruption.

"Father he is not doing anything to harm me and if you believe that he had anything to do with what happened to me last night then you are sadly mistaken. I know who is behind the attack on me last night and trust me once this is all said and done then that person will be dealt with but for the moment we have other things to worry about." Kaylanna said

"I do not understand daughter." Pharaoh said

"No, I am sure that you do not understand father, what you need to know is that this man you see before me is the man I love with all my heart and I know that, that may shock you but it is the truth. I love him and when this war is all said and done I am going to marry him and I will have your blessing." Kaylanna said Larkin did not know what to say he was in a state of shock himself just as he could tell her father was but he had to admit that Kaylanna saying all of that out loud and to her father was interesting.

"Daughter know that I love you and that you and your sisters are my heart and I would give you anything that you want but to allow you to marry this man that I cannot allow. There is someone that I have already chosen for you as I have for your sisters and once this is all said and done then you will all be married to the man that I have chosen for you." Pharaoh said

"No father I will have Larkin or once this is done I am going to be leaving with him. You know me father I will have what I want weather you like my decision or not and when it comes to the matter of my heart I will most certainly not budge." Kaylanna said and Larkin knew that her father would give her what she wanted because in his heart the Pharaoh could not bear to lose his daughter.

"Daughter you know that I cannot bear to lose you so if this is the man that your heart truly desires then once this war is over you may with my blessing marry this man." Pharaoh said and though she could tell that her father was not truly happy with this decision Kaylanna knew that he would come to understand her love for Larkin and that he would in time come to trust him as she did.

"Thank you father I know that this does not make you happy but you all so know that I will not yield to the feelings in my heart." Kaylanna said

"I know that daughter that is why I cannot fight you. I would rather see you happy and married to a man you loved then to someone you could never be happy with. I will leave you both now; I need to see that everything is being made ready for imminent attack." Pharaoh said

Kaylanna knew that in a way she was defying her father by telling him that she would not marry the man that he wanted her to but at the same time she all so knew that she could never be happy with any other man other than Larkin.

"Kaylanna, I cannot believe that you just told your father about us." Larkin said in total shock

"I know that you cannot but I had to tell him sometime and with this war almost here I knew that it had to be now. I love you Larkin and no one and nothing is going to change that. And to answer your questions yes I was immortal to begin with Katara's potion just help me relax enough to allow myself to die so that I could be reborn. I look this way because I know who was behind the attack and how they knew where able to find me and it breaks my heart to know the truth of the person’s identity though I can do nothing about it for now trust me once all is said and done this person will be dealt with." Kaylanna said

"But I still do not understand how you can be an immortal would that not mean that someone in your family would have to have that ability as well?" Larkin asked slightly confused

"What I tell you here and now leaves not this room, for if my father were to hear it, it would break his heart. Swear to me that you will never utter a word of what I am about to tell you to any living soul." Kaylanna said and Larkin could tell that she meant what she was saying.

"I swear on my life that I will never breathe a word of any of our conversation to another living soul as long as I walk this earth." Larkin said and he meant every word of his promise to her.

"Pharaoh is not my father; my mother came to me in a dream one night and told me this. She said that she had fallen in love with another man and I was the product of that love and when she learned that she was to have me she found a way to convince my father that I was his and he never questioned her. My sisters are his true daughter's that is why I can do things that they cannot you are the only other living person besides me that knows this." Kaylanna said she could see the surprise in Larkin's eyes when she said this but it felt good to know that she was not the only one to know her secret.

"Do you know who your true father is?" Larkin asked

"Yes, but we cannot speak of it now my sister is coming." Kaylanna said sensing that her sister was approaching.

"It is true then you have survived the night." Makara said entering the room as Kaylanna knew she would and Kaylanna all so knew something that she did not want Makara to know.

"Yes, sister it is true I have survived the night, though you do not seem happy that I have" Kaylanna said testing her sister

"I do not know what you mean sister I am quite overjoyed that you are indeed alive, I just did not want to believe the whispers around the palace until I was able to verify them for myself. Father must be overjoyed to know that you still live." Makara said unsure of what her sister was thinking and hoping that she did not suspect anything.

"You have now seen for yourself that I indeed have survived the night and we must all now go and prepare, I feel that our enemies will be here sooner then we think." Kaylanna said walking out of her room past her sister with Larkin close on her heels.

Larkin was unsure of what had just transpired between Kaylanna and Makara but he was sure that Kaylanna would explain it all to him when she was ready. He was just praying that the warnings that his heart was telling him were not correct. For Larkin had begun to suspect that Makara herself had, had something to do with the attack on Kaylanna though he could not prove it and it would shock to learn that he was indeed correct in his suspicions he could not help but feel that way.

Kaylanna went out to find her sister Katara and she found her standing at the entrance to the palace looking out over the desert that was there home. As soon as she approached her sister she got an uneasy sense that war was just over the horizon and she was soon to have her suspicions verified. A couple scouts that had gone out during the night approached the palace with news that the enemy army was coming and much sooner than they were prepared. As scouts approached Kaylanna knew that something was wrong, she just didn't know how bad it really was.

"What is it what have you seen?" Kaylanna asked

“Princess, the enemy they are drawing closer. They will be upon us by day break.” One of the scouts reports while kneeling before her

“It is as we feared. How is this possible?” Kaylanna says

“It seems that they have a Sorcerer working for them. He is helping them move faster than we have ever seen before.” The other scout states also kneeling

Kaylanna looks to her sister knowing that this is not good news. But together with her sisters she knows that no matter what they will be able to overcome anything the enemy can throw at them.

Kaylanna whistles for her horse which comes racing to her from the stables nearby.

“Sister where are you going?” Katara asks wondering why her sister has called for her horse.

Kaylanna jumps on the horses back

“I want to see this Sorcerer for myself. I need to know what power it is he brings with him. Tell our father the news and ready the troops we need to move everyone quickly. Tell the people to leave the city and head for higher ground. I will return shortly.” Kaylanna kicks the horse into a run and takes off across the dessert to see for herself what is coming.

Carried by her power and sheer will Kaylanna flew on the back of her horse towards the approaching army and towards threat that they carried with them. She did not fear what was coming but the closer she came to the approaching army the more she could feel the power of this Sorcerer and from what she could sense from a distance she didn’t feel that he would be that great of a threat.

First Sightings

What would have taken half a days travel took just moments for Kaylanna. Shrouded by her own magick and her own power she carefully approaches the on coming army. They were moving faster than any normal humans should, she could feel the ripple of power from their sorcerer rippling against her own though it was weaker than her own it was enough to aid the oncoming forces.

Kaylanna reaches out with her power searching for the sorcerer seeking to find a way to stop him and slow them down. Even if she could buy just a little more time for her people it would be enough.

"Power seeking power I call to thee, show yourself so I may know my enemy. Show yourself to me know while I remain hidden from your sight. Sand rise and do my bidding rise up and blind them now winds blow and aid this quest, a giant sand storm will stop them in their tracks." Kaylanna raises her arms and the wind kicks up a furious pace the sand begins to fly creating a giant sandstorm.

The advancing army has to stop or risk getting lost in the storm, blinded with no way to see they all must cover themselves from the fury of the storm. Their sorcerer working frantically to try and reverse the storm but he does not have the power to contend with Kaylanna.

The sorcerer for the advancing army does what he can to shield the army from the onslaught of the storm. Kaylanna can hear the men yelling trying to get to cover. She smiles knowing that she not only slowed their progress but at the same time might be able to thin out their numbers for those that would not survive the storm. She reaches out again looking trough the storm in her mind to find the sorcerer to get just a glimpse of his face to see what and who it is she is up against.

Her search did not take long for it seemed as though he was seeking her out as she was seeking him. Though she was shrouded from him she did not want to take any chances. She looked and saw his face for the first time and smiled knowing that he Talib who was supposed to be all powerful and all knowing would never be able to withstand the power of her and her sisters. While he was no match for her alone Kaylanna quickly pulled back from her search and made it so that the storm she had started would last well into the night. She turned her horse and flew through the dessert towards home and her people.

As she neared the palace she could see the people gathering their possessions and getting ready to leave the village. It saddened her to see her people preparing to leave their homes and everything that they loved and held dear, but she knew in her heart that it was the safest and best option to keep them safe from harm should they not be able to hold the on coming army at bay.

"Kaylanna, what did you see?" Katara runs to her sister

Kaylanna jumps down from her horse " I have seen their sorcerer and he is no match for the the power that we yield. I also started a small sand storm for them to contend with. It will take them a while before they shall be able to continue their journey here. I have bought us some time but I do not want to underestimate the power or their sorcerer just yet. We should prepare to move out by night fall."

"Then it has truly begun, the war is here." Katara says sighing.

"It is sister and no matter what may come we must be ready. Together we shall win the day no fear." Kaylanna says knowing that in her heart Katara is not a fighter she would rather find a peaceful way around conflict. That was not to be this time.

"I am not afraid I am angry that our people had to get caught up in someone else’s war, that people seek to claim things that do not belong to them. What they seek to do is unjust and justice must always prevail." Katara says a fire burning in her eyes.

"And Justice shall prevail together sister we shall see to it." Kaylanna says holding her hand out to her sister.

"That we shall. Let us prepare then." Katara says grabbing her sisters arm.

"Yes let's prepare." Kaylanna says

Together Kaylanna and Katara head off to gather their things and prepare to move out with their army and the armies of their allies.

Makara is off on her own preparing her things for the war out of sight of everyone else, watching the progress of the oncoming army. Cursing her sister for starting the sand storm that has caused the oncoming army to slow their progress. While is said to be the keeper of peace Makara hates peace. She would rather live in a world full of strife and conflict where she can rule over people as their one and only true queen.

Darkness lived in her heart and while Makara believed that neither of her sisters had figured out her true plan what she did not realize was that Kaylanna had learned of her true feelings and was very close to figuring out what her true intentions were. Makara had been the one to send the assassins out after Kaylanna and once this war was over she would find a way to make both of her sisters suffer, she would find a way to destroy them both. She could not understand how Kaylanna had survived but if she had her way she would not escape death a second time.

Makara had her own ideas about how this war should go but if she did not play the part that she was supposed to she would reveal her hand too quickly. So for now she would have to help her sisters stop the war and save her people. But one day one day soon she would rule and when she did things would be a lot different. Peace would no longer rule the land she would use her army to take over the world or at least the world as she knew it. And if she could find a way to live forever she would rule the world forever and no one and nothing would be able to stop her not even her sisters.

Makara smiles at the thought that one day soon all of this would be hers no matter what she had to do to obtain her goal. Even if it meant selling her soul to the darkest demon she would rule. Her sisters just a minor blip on the road to her goals.

“Katara and Kaylanna must never know what I am doing. To reveal myself now would destroy everything I have been working so hard for. Those good little girls will know pain and suffering beyond all pain and suffering when I am through with them.” Makara says out loud to no one but herself.

Meanwhile Katara and Kaylanna are helping the people with their things trying to move them along as quickly as possible.

“Princess I can not leave all my possessions what will I do if we never return?” Lenora one of the villagers says.

“Please, you must take only what you can carry and I promise you that you will return. We will stop this war from coming but you must make haste. No matter what happens from here you must trust in us that we will protect all that is ours and if anything should be destroyed we will rebuild. By the powers of the Gods and Goddesses entrusted in us we will not fail. Now go with the others and hurry.” Kaylanna says trying to urge the girl along.

The girl finally agrees and moves along with the other villagers moving out of the village towards safety.

As the sun begins to set all the Villagers have left the village following the Nile towards their safe place. With all the villagers gone the only people left are the armies awaiting the dawn. Kaylanna, Katara and Makara are all with their father preparing to move the armies out of the village towards where they will meet their enemy in battle.

“My daughters with the coming of the dawn brings a war that I am not sure if we can win. Please my girls if anything should happen to me I want you all to run. Leave this place and everything save yourselves.” Their father says

“We will never leave you or this place it is our home and if it is asked of us we shall die defending it. We will do everything in our power to make sure that we are victorious at the end of the battle. We will not allow anything to happen to you Father that is our vow and our promise.” Kaylanna says standing before her father knowing that nothing will happen to her family if she has any control over the matter.

“Kaylanna, is right father this is our charge we were called to this battle by the will of the Gods and we will not back down no matter what may come.” Katara says standing next to Kaylanna.

“You are both crazy you would rather die than save yourselves. I would rather live to see another day what is here for us? If this should all fall is it really worth your life to bring back something that would be destroyed?” Makara says pacing back and forth in front of her sisters

“Does none of this matter to you sister? Does your home and your people mean so little? I would think that you of all of us would want to see peace returned to your people and those that we are sworn to protect.” Kaylanna says evenly knowing that her sister is starting to show her true colors

“Of course our people mean something to me but they are safe and far away. If this is all destroyed we can take them somewhere new and start again. What is here is just rock we can rebuild nothing is worth our lives.” Makara says trying to recover from her rant

“True while we could take our people and begin again somewhere safer that does not ensure that the threat coming to us now would not find us again. What would you do then sister run? Or would you stand and fight for all that you had built, all that meant something to you?” Katara says trying to figure out where that rant from her sister had come from having never heard her speak like that before.

“There is a time to run and a time to stand and fight sister. This is our time to fight not just for us but for those who can not fight for themselves. Do you stand with us or not?” Kaylanna says looking at Makara wondering where she will stand knowing that in the end she will not stand with them again.

“Of course I will stand with you sisters, why would I not? Do you question my loyalty Kaylanna?” Makara says wondering if perhaps her sister knows more than she wants her to

“I would never question your loyalty Makara unless you gave me reason to do so. Tomorrow we will stand together and we shall fight together and when this war is over we shall see where we stand then.” Kaylanna says “No if you excuse me I have a few more things to attend to.” Turns and walks out

Katara watches Kaylanna leave wondering what just took place between Makara and Kaylanna knowing that something more was behind their argument and she is not sure how she feels about it.

“We must prepare to leave, be safe my loves and may the Gods protect you.” Their Father says before leaving

“I have to gather my things.” Makara says before leaving the room

Katara stands their alone wondering what is about to happen and more what is going to happen once the war is over.

Katara heads out to gather her things and to meet up with her sisters outside.

As night is falling Katara, Kaylanna, Makara and their Father mount their horses at the head of their army.

“As Night falls this day to war we will go, we do not know what tomorrow will bring but at the end of the day we must be victorious and if you should fall know that the Gods will welcome you with open arms into paradise.” Pharaoh says

All the men cheer and begin marching
