Happy... Giddy... Hopeful Romantic... Refuse to grow up and take it all too seriously!
Mom, writer, author, PR person, Coordinator for International Students and an assortment of other stuff I love to be involved with.
I’m a born and raised native New Yorker, who by way of attempting life in Ohio – to have the big house and acre of land – discovered I was miserable and found my way West to begin a new life in the paradise that is Palm Springs, CA.
With new self-awareness comes change, and boy did my life change. My husband wasn’t on board for the ride, so I found myself a single Mom, back to a corporate life. Going it alone. In that I discovered being alone can be less lonely than being alone with someone else, if that someone else is not present and engaged with the life around them as it happens every glorious or boring moment at a time.
I’m a writer, finding the call to write in this new life, I now have a passion for it that drives me to make it my career. I need to write or I feel deprived. It’s an addiction that follows me where ever I go, well that and frapps from Starbucks!
Nothing makes me as happy as writing, except for my three wonderful sons; 25, 20 and 17, and the music of one phenomenal musician; Barry Manilow.
Being a single mom is difficult, sometimes frightening, often challenging, keeping me on my toes with no room to fail, but most of all it's always fun, and the best of anything I can ever hope to accomplish!
I'm a romantic at heart who believes love with right person can make the world sunny on the darkest day. A single flower is better than a dozen, my favorite candy bar means more than a box, if it's given just because. Toss in a teddy bear, and I'm yours!
One day I hope to find one true love that will make my heart pound, and give me that giddy feeling only being in love allows. I want to share the good, forgive the bad, and live it all completely one moment at a time while he encourages me to be me, as I’ll do the same for him.
For now I’ll keep on keeping on and share the journey one word at a time!
