Chapter one

Rain Sanchez now knew someone was following her. The crunches and noises that followed behind her confirmed it. If they caught up to her they would ask questions and she didn’t have the answers. Well, she did but, she couldn’t tell them. But, she was smarter then the average person so she ducked a corner and ran around to hide behind the Ben of the forest. When she heard the footsteps echo out and finally disappear she knew she was safe. A few minutes later she took off through the wintery forest till she reached her home. She shifted and changed clothes. She now sat at the edge of her balcony that she had built herself and stared out on the mountains staring into no where. What’s it like? She thought. What’s it like to have a mate?

Chapter two

The Beast raged far past his liking. The man was ready to leave. He was broken, beaten, scarred, and loosing blood. So he was done. He lunged at the rouge wolf and detached his head from his body. As he was on his run back home his eyes finally stopped glowing just as he stepped through the door. He changed his clothes after shifting and sat on the back patio. What’s it feel like? He thought to himself. What’s it like to have a mate?

He thought this to himself so much and now he was certain he wouldn’t get a mate. Then the phone rang. “Hello” He said answering the phone. “Hey Ivan it’s mark.” His friend replied. “What do you want?” Ivan said a little annoyed because he was frustrated. “You have a case” he simply replied. “Of what?” Ivan said now slightly irritated. “A girl by the name of rain Sanchez. She needs to know her father has died and she needs to claim his property.” He said.

“Well, alright send me her location and I’ll go by dawn.” Ivan said. “She lives in the northern mountains up in a little “mansion” in the snow. You’ll see it at the top of the peek.” Mark said. “Alright see you when I return.” “Goodnight and goodbye Ivan. And the best of luck....” “you to mark you to.” Ivan said hanging up the phone. “Should be a real treat.” He said aloud. “Rain Sanchez. I’ll meet you real soon you ghostly beauty.” He said turning off his computer after looking up her picture on her website. He went to his room and laid down for bed. What a wonderful place to be.he thought. What a wonderful place indeed. That was his last thought before drifting off to sleep. The next morning he woke before the sun even rose on the horizon. His stuff was packed and ready to go. He soon drove off to the mountains. After a long 4-5 hour car ride he had finally reached the top of the peek. He pulled up to this beautiful black and white mansion with the most beautiful balcony. He gathered the courage and knocked on the door. What he saw was nothing he was expecting. the beautiful girl looked nothing like her picture. But, there she stood at 6’3 only two inches shorter then him with long white hair that reached her ass. Beautiful black and silver eyes one eye one color. Her right eye was silvery white and the left, Black as night. She had tanish toned skin and a single black strip of hair among her white head of hair. When she opened the door she saw a very sexily handsome man standing at 6’5 with a beautiful head of short black hair. He had blue crystal eyes. Then both of them smelled the air.....

“YOUR A ARTIC WOLF!??!” They both shouted at the same time. Then realizing her manners weren’t there she stepped aside and offered him in. He walked inside and she shut the door. “Who are you?” She asked bluntly. “Ivan night. You?” He replied. “Rain Sanchez.” “I’ve come to tell you you’re father has died. You must claim his properties or they will go to the dump.” He simply stated. But, at this point she couldn’t focus on a word he said. She was to mesmerized by the fascinating wolf like man. Who towered slightly over her large figure. They were sure to be mates. She knew that much. And judging by the face he made he knew so to. Both of them lost for words she says “there’s a storm coming tonight. You should stay till it, passes.” She stated before walking off to what to him looks like the kitchen. “I’m going to make something to eat. Please, make yourself at home.” She said. Ivan sat down and grabbed a book out of his bag. He was reading for just about an hour when rain sat a plate of food in front of him and sat down with her food. He began eating when she said “hey? Mind if I ask you a few questions, Ivan?” Even though the way she said his name lit a fire deep inside him he pushed the beast down and tried his best to control the flame as to not scare the beautiful girl away. “Sure, but, after I get to ask you some questions?” He said. “Sure.” She replied.

“Okay, so how many wolves are there?” “In our pack, 11 people including the kids.”

“Okay, how long have you been an artic wolf?” “About since I was 14 I’m 26 now, so maybe 12 years going on 13.” He said leaving her there slightly shocked at how long he had lived his life this way. She had only been a wolf for 8 years only going on 9. The fascinating man named Ivan suddenly stood up.
