Chapter 1:Where it all begins

*They all screamed as the knife came down*

My vision is blurred. I can't  see much, only a faint silhouette standing in front of me. My brain aches with confusion. How the hell did I get here? So far, my day is not going well. Wait. I don't actually know how long I've been here for. Hours? Days? Weeks? All I remember is Shane's father ordering a menacing biker guy to stab me. Let's just say he didn't hesitate.

"Hello?" I call. I know, it was stupid but it's worth a shot. The figure in front of me strolls forward and guess who I come face to face with? No other than the prissy stuck-up Monica.

Why can't she just be dead already?

She doesn't look me in the eye as she speaks,"Hello Michael. I just wanted to give you some news, that's all."

I furrow my brows in confusion. To be honest, I'd rather be confronted by the old, bitchy version of her. I guess she just wants to see me suffer.

"As I was saying," she coughed, interrupting my thoughts," I have arranged a 'meeting' with Brandon for you. Won't it be amazing! Seeing as you'll be one of us soon."

What did she just say? Monica sighs and bares her teeth at me. Okay, now this girl is just plain weird. I really don't want to see her perfectly straightened teeth right now.

"Look!" She hisses.

I look. Everything is pretty normal, apart from the fact that her incisors are twice as big. Not to mention twice as bloody sharp! Oh well, it was bound to happen anyway. But then I realise what she just said. If she's a vampire then it means Brandon wants to turn me into one. The problem is, I've already been bitten.

My mind concentrates on something else. Something more important. I don't know if Shane, Claire and Eve are alright. Eve. Her name lingers in my head like a shining, neon sign.

I peer up at the ceiling and notice bulky, metal chains binding my wrists together. I was so caught up in everything that I couldn't even notice the fact that I'm all chained up.

Wow.

Way to go Michael, way to go. There's not really anything else I can do now except wait, really. I rattle my hands in hope that they are able to pull free, but I know that I'm stuck. I close my eyes and let the darkness take over.

Chapter2:Where is she?

 SHANE'S P.O.V

I can't look at my father after what he did. It's his fault Michael is gone. It's his fault we can't find him. I won't say the word 'dead' because I know he's alive. I can feel it. And I know that if we don't find him soon, something will happen to him.

It's been a day since Michael disappeared and I can already feel the tension in the air. We're all thinking the same thing.

I'm sitting on my bed, trying to clear my mind from the frantic girls downstairs, whom of which is my girlfriend. I know, go me. I should be down there, comforting them, but I can't. I'm as worried as they are. There's only one person who would have Michael right now. Brandon.

Sigh. It's a shame, we don't have a clue on his whereabouts. Even Monica scurried off after the 'fight'. Oh well, the less threats here, the better.

"Shane!"

And that's my cue to leave.

I head down the stairs and come face to face with Claire, who seems to have brightened up a little.

"So," she says,"I'm just going to stand here and not let you leave. Don't worry. Nothing is wrong."

Shit. She's stalling. For Eve.

"I know you're stalling for Eve. Just let me get her." I say.

Claire fiddles with her jacket,"You can't. She already left."

"Where did she go?"

She bites her lip and I know she's about to lie.

"She just went to the shop, that's all."

"She went to find Michael, didn't she? I told you to watch her Claire! It was one simple thing!"

Claire winces and I realise I'm shouting.

"I'm sorry, but I have to find her."

I push past and yank my jacket from the rack.
