I was born at a time when women were not expected to attend college, therefore I was forbidden by my mother to further my education. I have attended the school of hard knocks and am self educated as far as my writing is concerned, although after marriage and raising a family I did enroll in college, majoring in journalism and English Literature. I had two books published by TFH Publications, worked as a news reporter and editor for a local newspaper, associate editor for a small press publication, and published a newsletter on back to basics living. My articles have appeared in Organic Farming Magazine, True Story, Desert, Tropical Fish Hobbyist, BirdTalk, Backwoods Home Magazine and others.
After retirement I turned to fiction which is my first love. I self-published three fiction books and one non-fiction. These are available on Amazon and Kindle. I am in the process of writing a suspense novel and upon completion will submit it to an agent. My brother also writes and is self-published; also my son writes and is self-published. It must be in the genes to write, or perhaps our imaginations are too great to keep concealed. Whatever it is, I was born to write.
