Website Development on WordPress

WORDPRESS IS JUST A TOY FOR BLOGGERS

If you put WordPress in a spectrum between a toy and a tool, WordPress fits like both. While WordPress used to be a toy for bloggers (and still technically can be used that way), it has also evolved and is designed for businesses. WordPress is the most popular CMS on the planet, taking giant advances between its competitors Drupal and Joomla, In addition, as indicated above, WordPress currently powers more than a quarter of the website development in an astonishing 28 percent of all websites (and continues to grow). There are a lot of bloggers that use the ".com" version of WordPress for their free hosting and internal security features.

However, those who seek to adopt a more robust approach, the ".org" version serves as a platform to build almost anything you want ... blogs, applications, corporate sites, stores, etc.

Only a few well-known brands use WordPress to boost their online presence, including: TechCrunch, Beyoncé, MTV News, Walt Disney and more.

These brands not only use website development on WordPress because it is cost-effective compared to other solutions such as Adobe, but it also offers sufficient flexibility in front-end design, with powerful open back-end features. The nature of WordPress open source means that anyone can download the software, a theme or a plugin, and also modify the code the way you want. It is not a closed solution.

WORDPRESS IS NOT GOOD FOR CREATING AN E-COMMERCE

If you are looking to sell tangible or digital goods or services online, WordPress is an excellent option for an eCommerce website. The most popular solution is WooCommerce, which currently drives 41 percent of all online stores. WooCommerce is a super easy solution to use even without much technical knowledge. However, there is the common error that WooCommerce can not solve. Without investing in hosting, you could have an error with the expansion of traffic. WP Engine addresses many of these problems with its dedicated ecommerce plan for WooCommerce customers. However, you are not limited to WooCommerce in WordPress.

There are many integrations for other solutions, such as Shopify for example, which builds a plugin to integrate WordPress and Shopify. With the Shopify e-commerce plugin, you can make any WordPress page or blog, adding an electronic store feature to your WordPress site. Other WordPress solutions for an electronic commerce include, BigCommerce and Magento.

WORDPRESS IS NOT A SOLUTION FOR COMPANIES

It is not true that the website development on WordPress platform is suitable only for small businesses. In its 16 years of evolution, WordPress has grown; Even a monstrous global company with a large amount of web traffic can build a robust website using WordPress thanks to the large number of add-ons and add-ons.

In many ways, website development on WordPress has become a great player in the corporate CMS market. WordPress is generating millions in revenue each year, acquiring reputable companies and is constantly a source of rumours in the technology community. In addition, business enterprises thrive on successful integration. The REST API of WordPress represents a clean and easy way for systems of all types to integrate with WordPress, eliminating limitations and creating possibilities.

The only limitation for enterprise-level companies for website development on WordPress belongs to the user himself. An immersion in the platform and an awareness of the large amount of customization and functionality that WordPress offers is all that is needed to understand that WordPress is more than adequate for businesses. Still not convinced? Perhaps it's worth noting that Forbes, The New York Times and Ebay are just a few enterprise-level companies that use WordPress.
