Ella loved to play the saxophone. She had a very special solo coming up in the school play. Ella practiced so much she never did her homework. Luckily, her teacher was Mrs.Molten, The nicest teacher ever!! "Ella can I see your homework?" Ella looked around. EVERYONE was staring at her!! "I'm playing back up in Suzie and Taylor's duet and I'm playing backup for Mark, Markus, and Marklen's trio!!!" Mrs. Molten walked over to Ella's desk. "Well, you better include your school work with all this musical work!!!!!!!!!!!" Ella was going to say she was playing for the choir, but it didn't seem like this was the time to do that. Ella was late on technology, electricity and her insulator and conductor homework!!! After 4 hours of overdue homework, Ella's body felt tight and heavy. She felt a bony finger touch her back. "NANA YOU'RE HERE!!!!!" Ella forgot that her nana was visiting for the weekend to see her solo. "How's my little grandbaby doing??" Ella sagged her head along her text book. "Nana I just want to lower a big axe on this stupid homework!!!! I HATE IT!!" Nana's face looked surprised. "Do you want to be a musician??" Ella looked at Nana's face. "OF COURSE NANA!!! You know this has been my dream since I saw you playing your saxophone!!" Nana sat down and sucked her teeth. "Child, I haven't played that thing so long the dust on it is getting static!!" Ella laughed. " You're gonna need material to play the saxophone." Ella looked confused. " Some person can take all your money for just one mouthpiece if you don't know how to count money. Or if your bus breaks down on tour, I'm sure that engineer is going to want you to pay him!!" Ella got flustered and let out a huff. "I want to buy Shay a new stroller for her doll." Nana smiled. Ella and her nana stayed up all night finishing her homework. The next day Ella dragged into school and smacked the homework in the homework tray. Ella was relieved. On Saturday Ella got up and put on her black dress and fancy shoes. "Ella you ready for this??" Ella's mom said as Ella came down stairs. "SOOOOOOOOOOOO ready!!" they hopped in the car and drove to school. "Welcome to decode the code, our school musical." Ella hopped on stage and did her solo!! AFter the show was over Ella hugged her nana tight and gave her sister a kiss on the forehead. " Crowd+Ella+saxophone= STANDING OVATION!!!" said Ella.
