The Drunken Bell: Love Poems

Tablo reader up chevron

Introduction

When I first joined Twitter, I immediately became enamored with the abundance of writing prompts. Most of these poems were inspired by those prompts, and all deal with the theme of love which I believe is at the core of all writing. I will keep adding to the collection.

I hope you enjoy the poems and would love to hear from you! You can find out more about me and my other books on my website:  http://jdbrettonwriter.weebly.com/ or follow me on Twitter @JDBrettonWriter or on Facebook JD Bretton.

Hi Arez, Thank you so much for your kind words! It really means a lot to me! Just getting used to the new Tablo format so didn't see your comments until now.

words fall

words fall

from your lips,

burn like embers

scorching my skin

Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback. :)

the words

it is not a lustful touch

but your gaze

that unravels me,

the words

whispered

against my skin

that unhinge

my heart
