I'm Emily, and I live with my dad, two sisters and 3 brothers. It is Sam the oldest she's is 13, me, I'm 11, jade who is 10 and my brothers Tyler, Jayden and Ben who are triplets. They are 8 and cause lots of problems. 

My mum died last year as there was a car crashed into a bus on her way home from seeing my nan in hospital. She was a lovely mum and loved all of us kids. As there is six of us, it was hard to make warm dinners everyday. 

But about 5 months after my mum died, my little brother Ben went missing and there hasn't been any news since. Our whole neighbourhood we're out looking for him but we couldn't find anything.

 Since there is only 5 of us kids left, my dad gets very angry when Jayden and Tyler act on because they are missing their other triplet. Me jade and Sam just sit in our room and listen to music. Jade sits and reads, I draw in my pad with my new felt tips, and Sam sits texting her boyfriend jake.

It gets lonely around our house and dad feels left alone without mum. My parents were very close, everyone used to call them Hay and jord. they were both 32 but dad was one day older. They said they met in high school in year 10 and have fell in love since.

One night we were sitting at the table eating pork with mash vege and gravy with aunt Bessie's yourkshire puddings. Dad gave us all ice cream with chocolate sauce afterwards. Then, jade bring one of her favourite books down and dad read it to us while we were all in bed. We lived in a small house with 3 bedrooms. One room is where me and jade had bunk beds and Sam had her own single bed. In another room there was the triplets, they had triple bunk beds but the middle one was empty as Ben wasn't there. 

It had been 7 months now and we were all still missing him but I guess no one got really upset and cried anymore. Later that night, I spoke to my friends Carla and phoebe. They explained that I should search on the internet people who kidnap children but I told them there was no point. 

The next morning, I woke up to find the twins on my bed. They looked like they've been crying again but they were holding hands and were red in the face. 

At about 9:00, jade woke up and put the twins on her bed. She came and snuggled up to me and started crying.

" hey, hey what's wrong?" I whispered even though I think I knew what was wrong.

" do you know mike, well he went out with my best friend katie, and now Katie isn't speaking to me."

I looked at her and patted her head. I knew she liked mickey but I didn't really listen to her. All I could think about was Ben wondering around the park scared and cold.

" well it's ok jade, I know how much you like him but Katie isn't the bestest friend you could ever have." I said trying to make her feel better.

 Later in the day, dad took the kids out to the park while Sam was out with her friends. I said I would stay and clean the boys room.

When I made their bed, I found a piece of paper that had been scrunched up. It was on Tyler's bed.

Dear my triplets,

I was at school and met this boy named jake. He said he wanted me to meet him at the park. He looked about sam's age.

Don't worry I'll be back tomorrow but just say to dad I'm staying after school.

Then I remembered Tyler and Jayden telling my dad that Ben went after school. They were part of this, my brothers knew where Ben was.

Later I went downstairs when they came back and saw the boys. I took them upstairs to see their new room that I changed around.

Then I shut their door.

" Emily, what are you doing?"

" boys, you know where Ben is don't you?"

The boys looked away going red in the face.

" he told us not to tell anyone but I told Tyler we had to tell someone but he said keep it to ourselves." 

" no Ben said we had to keep it secret, he said he's only going to the park."

" yeah, but look where he is now, he got KIDNAPPED from a man around sam's age Tyler are you mad." I said looking at him fiercely.

Then they both started crying, they knew they did something wrong and should tell dad.

Later on at 3:00 dad made spaghetti bolongaise and the boys sat down by me for once. Everyone was quiet until I broke the silence. 

" so boys, what happened on the day you got that letter?" I asked

Dad looked like he was in another world.

" what letter?" Dad asked

" well um, Jayden started. Well we got a letter from Ben on the night he disappeared and he said he met this man at school that looked like sam's age and told him to meet him at the park."

Dad looked shocked, everyone went silence even Sam for once.

" Jay, did you see the man?" Asked Sam.

" a little from my window."

" what did he look like?"

" well he had brown hair combed to one side and a black jacket with red top and blue jeans with a  skull cap and went into a van." Explained Jayden.

Sam looked shocked.

Everyone was quiet looking at Sam.

" that, that, that is my boyfriend jake." 

Now everyone was shocked.
