My life story...

My name is Katie and I was born with a face condition, Treacher Collins Syndrome, aka TCS. This means my face isn’t like yours it’s different I also have problems with speaking, I’ve lived my life with it. I’ve had multiple operations to try and fix it but none of them worked. I’m now 13 and I’m moving houses which means I’m moving schools. Schools have been a big deal, everyone stares at you like you are an alien. I’ve moved schools once and this is my second time, my mum knows that I don’t like moving schools but my dad doesn’t care. My dad wants what’s best for him. He also argues with my mum a lot. I tell him to stop but he shouts at me and tells me he wished he never had me. And that I’m a mistake. Me and my mum moved out after that one time he slapped me because I told him to stop being a meanie and that he’s a stupid man. We left him and never came back...

My best friends...

As I told you about my life I think I should tell you about my best friends. My best friends are Lilly and Sam, sam’s real name is Samantha but she likes to be called Sam. Like Sam from Sam and cat, good tv show you should watch it. Anyways they have been my friends since nursery they don’t care about my face they like me because I’m me. They are at the school I’m moving to so I’m less worried about going. But I’m still super super SUPER nervous because I’m scared if people will pick on me because of my looks...
