My Angels

Hello and Welcome, my name is SoYung. This is a story of how my life became a fairytale. Not the average, Princess gets the Prince and they live happily ever after type. Nope. This is a fairytale of SoYung; of course it can't be normal! My life is anything but normal. I never had friends until my 4th year of primary. I was chubby, and always had my nose stuck in a book. I was a nerd, with a capital N. Not the hipster nerd that is in fashion lately. NOPE! I was a huge wire framed glasses, heavy book bag, No friends type of nerd. I was Highly intelligent for my age, so I was consistently placed in higher classes. Then I met two boys who would change my life forever.

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

"Students of Class Room 1A, I would like to introduce you to a new student. SoYung, why don’t you introduce yourself?" The Headmaster turned to SoYung waiting for the introduction.

"H-Hello. My name is SoYung. Nice to meet you. *Bows* I like books, and learning. Please treat me well." SoYung mumbled in a barely audible voice. Looking up from the floor she could already see her classmates mimicking her and making fun of her. It was always the same. New school every year since she could remember. She changed schools frequently due to the bullying. The Headmaster cleared his throat and pointed to a seat next to a boy. Upon further inspection the boy looked innocent and doe-like with his big brown eyes.

"Please have a seat next to LuHan. LuHan, please guide SoYung and show her around the school at break." The Headmaster then took his leave. The teacher smiled at her with a gentle coaxing smile and nudged SoYung to start walking to her seat.

As she walked towards her seat one of her classmates stuck his leg out and tripped her, causing SoYung to fall face first in front of the doe eyed boy. The class erupted in laughter when she fell, but the doe eyed boy quickly jumped up and helped her up. He quickly checked to see if she was injured and picked up her bag, which he set on the back of her chair. He then turned around to the class and gave them a sharp glare. She stood there in shock. Someone actually helped her instead of laughing in her face.

When the shock wore off she was already in her seat. She slowly sneaked a peak over to LuHan and got caught looking. He flashed her a cute smile. SoYung quickly looked away as she blushed and focused back onto what the teacher was teaching.

Later that day, during lunch break LuHan tapped on SoYung’s shoulder timidly, to catch her attention away from reading a book.

"Would you like me to show you around the school?" He flashed her a sweet, angelic smile that made him look like a cherub straight from heaven. SoYung found herself smiling back at him.

"OK!" SoYung quickly put her book back into her bag and followed him out the classroom door. After LuHan showed her the ropes of the school, and most importantly the nurse’s office – SoYung admitted she was prone to getting hurt, and laughed when he told her that he did too – they then made their way to the cafeteria to eat. SoYung forgot her lunch at home so she had to buy hers. On her way back to the table, another kid shoved her and her food crashed to the floor with a loud clatter. SoYung wanted to cry. LuHan quickly rushed over and cleaned the food from the floor and pulled her to the table.

"SoYung, my mom usually makes too much food. Do you want to share?" He held out the chopsticks with some kimchi on it in front of her face. SoYung turned red, but she opened her mouth and LuHan fed her the kimchi. They ate the lunch together and went back to class. After school, LuHan walked me to where my mom was standing waiting for me.

"I had fun today. Can we be friends?" The doe-eyed boy pleaded. SoYung’s face lit up and she started to cry from happiness.

"Yes, I would love that." She said between tears and sniffles. LuHan was shocked that she was crying and quickly wanted to make her stop before her mother saw her crying, but it was too late.

"Oh! Why are you crying! Are you hurt?" SoYung’s mother started panicking.

"No! I’m so happy! Momma, I made my first friend!" SoYung grabbed LuHan’s hand and smiled at him, making him more relaxed.

"Oh! I’m so happy! LuHan was it? You are so cute! You remind me of a fawn!" SoYung’s mother ruffled LuHan’s hair as she said this. LuHan and SoYung said their goodbyes and SoYung got into the car with the biggest smile she has ever had since she was a toddler. She was looking forward to the next day of school and seeing her new friend.

The next morning, SoYung got to school a little earlier than most children. Her mother had to go in early for work today. SoYung decided to wander around the school to wait for when LuHan got there. After about 15 minutes she turned a corner and ran into someone.

"Ouch!" The tall boy grumbled. SoYung quickly got up and helped him up.

"I’m so sorry, are you alright?" SoYung asked the boy. He looked up at her and SoYung noticed his thick eyebrows and his tawny hair.

"Umm, actually… I’m lost. Today is my first day here and I cut my knee on the slide. I can't find the nurse’s office." The boy grumbled. SoYung looked down at his knee and saw the blood seeping through his jeans.

"Oh no! I’ll show you. Follow me.... Wait!" She walked next to him so he could use her as support. "I’m shorter than you, but you can use me to get some weight off your knee. The nurse’s office is this way."

They made it to the nurse and SoYung slipped away to head to class so she wouldn’t be late to meet up with LuHan. When she saw him waiting for her, she ran up to him.

"Hi!! Sorry I’m late! A kid was lost and he needed the nurse." SoYung explained to LuHan.

"I just got here myself! Let's get to class before we’re late!" LuHan and SoYung sprinted to class and sat into their seats just as the bell rang. The class was noisy at first until Headmaster walked in followed by the boy she had helped before. SoYung let out a small gasp in which LuHan and the Headmaster noticed.

"Students of Class Room 1A, I would like to introduce you to a new student. YiFan, why don’t you introduce yourself?" The Headmaster nudged the boy.

"Ayo! What’s up! My name is Wu YiFan, but you can call me Kris. I’m from Canada." He smirked, then his gaze caught SoYung’s and he froze.

"Ah! Seems like you two have met! Perfect! LuHan and SoYung, Please show YiFan around during lunch. YiFan go ahead and take a seat next to SoYung." The Headmaster shoved Kris towards the two. Kris hurriedly took his seat, and glared at the two of them.

"I’m glad the cut wasn’t serious." SoYung smiled at Kris. He simply just glared at her. He pulled out his GameBoy and started playing. SoYung and LuHan were confused by his actions. He continued to sulk until lunchtime when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Umm… Kris, we would like to show you around the school now if you would like." SoYung quietly asked him. Kris turned off his GameBoy and shoved it back into his backpack.

"Fine. Make it quick, I want to beat the boss in this game before the end of lunch." Kris snapped.

"What game is that?" LuHan asked him curiously.

"It's Super Mario. It's my third time playing it, Mom can’t find the box with all my other games in it." mumbled a grumpy Kris.

"Oh! I have the sequel! I lost the one your playing now, want to trade later?" LuHan exclaimed while Kris looked at him with a blank cold expression. Suddenly his face broke out into a genuine smile.

"Really? I would love that! I have always wanted to play that one!" Kris started to chat with Luhan about games for a bit when he suddenly remembered that SoYung was there.

"Oh, thank you for earlier. I’m sorry I was cold to you earlier. Want to share lunch? My mom packed meat today!" Kris took out his lunch box and opened it proudly displaying the array of meat he had. It was really leftovers from his dinner the night before but they didn’t need to know that.

"Looks delicious! Do you really need a tour or do you just want to eat?" LuHan asked Kris. Kris laughed and pointed at SoYung.

"I sort of had a mini tour earlier when SoYung showed me to the nurse. So let’s eat!" He explained laughing.

"Lets eat outside, It’s beautiful out!" SoYung pitched in. They all agreed and went out under the big oak and had a feast on the lunches they brought. After that day, the three of them became inseparable. SoYung learned to enjoy games as much as they did and the boys learned to enjoy books as much as SoYung did. One thing they learned that all three equally loved, music.

All through elementary the two boys protected SoYung from bullies. After meeting them, she never had to move around schools ever again due to bullying.

Castles In The Sky

First day of Junior Middle could be quite intimidating, especially for a girl who was bullied most of her life. I didn’t have to worry anymore, as long as I had my two guardian angels and best friends, Kris and LuHan, by my side, I could do anything.

♦♦♦♦♦♦

A smile spread on SoYung's face. She was the luckiest girl ever. SoYung took a quick glance in the full length mirror; she opted for the full length skirt option. She shuddered at the thought of wearing the skimpy shorter skirt. All the other classmates would be fine with it, but not her.

“SoYung! Breakfast!” Her mother called up.

“Coming!” Soyung grabbed her bookbag and sprinted down the stairs, colliding with her father.

“Oomph—“ Her dad grunted upon impact.

“Sorry Daddy!” SoYung wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug.

“Carefull there Yungie~, you could have ran into Mama,” he gently scolded her while hugging her.

“First day jitters?” he asked with his eyebrows knitted in worry.

“Nope!” SoYung flashed him a bright, cheerful smile. “I have my best friends with me. As long as I have them I have nothing to worry about!”

As if on que, the door swung open and the two boys came bounding in. Kris playfully shoved Luhan so he fell into all the shoes, while he sprinted to get to the kitchen first. LuHan scowled at him and straightened himself up, walking over to SoYung giving her a tight squeeze.

“Morning, did you rest well?” He asked, looking at her face making sure she looked like she slept.

“Of course! I slept like a baby.”

“That’s because you are a baby!” Hollered Kris from the kitchen.

“Hey! I am not!” SoYung stormed into the kitchen, snatching the apple out of his hands and bit into it, flashing him a smirk.

“That was mine!” Kris whined.

“Not anymore!” SoYung taunted and walked out to the table where everyone was already sitting waiting on them.

“Ma! You make the best Waffles!” LuHan complemented her mom with a large mouthful and a big cheeky grin.

“You look like a chipmunk with all the food in your mouth! Why don’t you stuff some more in there!” Kris jeered at LuHan.

Mrs Lee slapped the back of Kris’s head, “Don’t make fun of him! If we were to say anything, we would say that you eat like a child! I always have to clean around you, with all your crumbs!” She scolded him while pointing at his crumb mess all over the table and floor.

“Serves you right!” SoYung chided him when she saw him rubbing the back of his head.

“Why am I the one who always gets hit?!” Kris whined at Mrs Lee while trying to act cute, which made her scoff at him.

“Because you are a problem child! You are so rambunctious!” She retorted laughing.

SoYung glanced at the wall clock and quickly stuffed food in her mouth, drinking down her juice.

“Ma, can you drive us to school?” SoYung pleaded.

“Oh? Why? Don’t you guys want to walk together instead of piling into my stuffy car?”

“We're late.” SoYung replied flatly

“Oh! Yes, hurry up and get in the car!” Her mother quickly tossed off her apron and grabbed the keys. LuHan and Kris panicked as they threw on their bookbags and rushed out the door.

“Shotgun!” SoYung called out, colliding with Kris to fight over the front seat.

“Boys in back! SoYung gets the front!” Mrs Lee called out as she walked towards the car, witnessing the scramble for the front. SoYung opened the door and sat down in the front, promptly spinning around and made a face at the boys.

“I saw that, young lady!” Her mother scolded as she backed the car out of the driveway.

Once they were underway, Mrs Lee smiled. These past few years, everyone has become a tight knit family. They all spent Summers at the Lu’s, Winter Vacation at the Wu’s, and birthdays and holidays at the Lee’s. Weekends, they all slept over at one of the houses, usually rotating. Come to think of it, Kris’s birthday is in two months. On that thought, Mrs lee looked into the mirror at him.

“So, Kris. Your birthday is in a couple months. What theme do you want?” She asked him, smiling; she loved to plan parties. She always started really early and would completely redo the house to fit the themes, which is why most holidays and birthdays were at the Lee residence.

“Mom! That’s two whole months away!!” SoYung whined.

“I know sweety, but you know I like to plan ahead.”

“Can we do fanatasy?” Kris asked with a gleam in his eyes.

“Fantasy?!” SoYung questioned.

“Yes! Like dragons, princesses, quests, castles and whatnot. We could dress up like our characters!” Kris excitedly explained.

“Oh! I love that idea!” Mrs Lee exclaimed, giggling in excitement.

“HOLD UP! Like LuHan a deer, you a dragon, and I have to dress like a songbird?!?!” SoYung asked, holding back her laughter at the idea of the costumes.

“NO! We won’t be our characters exactly, but we will theme our costumes around our characters!” Kris cleared up the ideas in their head, rolling his eyes at SoYungs reaction just as Mrs Lee pulled up to the front gates.

“We’re here!” Mrs. Lee exclaimed as she put the car in park.

“Have a nice—.” She was cut off by all three doors slamming shut. Chuckling, she watched the three of them running into school, both boys holding SoYung's hands.

Two months flew by quickly as Mrs Lee prepared the whole house; transforming the large white Greek style foyer into a Castle’s Great Hall. She printed out vinyl stickers to place everywhere, making the walls transform into strone/brick walls. She hand-swen tapestry to match each guild: the King Half-Blood Dragons and the two supporting guilds; The Deerlings and The Songbirds. SoYoung helped her mother hand-paint the windows, spending hours to mimic stained glass. Mrs. Lee rented a long, oak table which held a large cornucopia of food that outpoured onto the table.

Each parent decided to dress in a different era. The Lee’s dressed from the Ancient Chinese Northern Dynasty from 420 AD-589AD. The Wu’s decided on wearing elegant outfits from the English Tudor era of 1500-1550’s to fit in with their son being the king of the night. The Lu’s decided on going with a renaissance ensamble, with Mr. Lu using this as an excuse to wear his Jack Sparrow costume.

While the parents chatted over wine in brass goblets, the children put on their finishing touches on their outfits. It was decided that Kris was to change in the master bedroom - that was converted to look like a king's wardrobe room - while Luhan changed into the spare room and SoYung in her own room. It was decided that Kris was to stand at the “throne” (recliner refurbished in vibrant reds and golds) to greet the two others as they entered as though they were there to wish the king well on his birthday.

Kris ambled out of the King's Chamber, taking his place on the throne. He wore an outfit fit for King Henry the Eighth. His oufit shimmered in the lights, while his face looked amazing. He had red contacts that made his eyes look fierce and animal-like. His face was painted in parts to look like scales. He really looked like a half-dragon; fierce and unyielding.

The door to the spare bedroom opened and Luhan walked out. He wore a soft, brown leather ensemble. The tunic had some small white patches on the back. On his head, he had attached some well-made deer antler prosthetics. LuHan quietly walked over to Kris and deeply bowed.

“I wish you well on this special day, kind King. I wish you many in the years to come.” LuHan spoke while keeping his head low.

“A great day and well wishes to you as well! Go enjoy this day, for today; we have a feast!” Kris gallantly exclaimed, extending his arm towards the table.

“Oh LuHan! You look so cute!” Mrs Lee rushed over and gave the boy a hug, pinching his cheeks.

“Yes! SoYung has learned so quickly how to do all this theatrical makeup. Your daughter is very talented!” Mrs Lu complimented Mrs Lee.

The door opened of SoYung's room; everyone fell quiet in anticipation. SoYung stepped out and walked down the stars. She chose a simple, but elegant white dress and paired it with a pair of beautiful black wings. She styled up her hair in a fancy updo with pearls and white feathers. Off the back of her updo, a single music note hung on a delicate chain. When she made it to the bottom of the steps, Kris and Luhan's eyes were glued to her.

She delicately walked over to the “throne” and curtseyed, keeping her eyes to the floor.

“Good day m’lord. I wish you good tidings today and many years to be.” She sang softly.

“My Lady, you have stolen the spotlight!” Kris said softly, walking up to her to take her hand.

“Let me show you to the table; there is a feast today in my honor.” He then smirked at Luhan while guiding her to the chair adjacent to his seat at the table.

“Oh My! SoYung, you look breathtaking!” Mrs Lee walked over and embraced SoYung, a single tear falling from her eyes.

“My baby is growing up!” Mrs Lee almost sobbed, but Mr Lee put his arm around Mrs Lee and took the floor.

“Let Us Feast!” He announced.

Everyone feasted like royalty that night, laughing and having a great time. They all enjoyed being able to act out different scenarios and act in character. Mrs Lee made up several games to play, including a quest for hidden treasure and, of course the traditional game they play every birthday; sharades.

As night drew to a close, the parents vacated the house, letting the kids have their over night sleepover. Once they cleaned up the house and changed into pijamas, they decided to play a game.

“Let's play spin the bottle!” Kris suggested.

“NO” both Luhan and SoYung yelled.

“OK, thought I would at least try! *Laughs* How about Truth or Dare?”

“Sounds good!” SoYung agreed.

“Ok with me.” LuHan shrugged.

After a few hours, they fell asleep cuddled up - SoYung in the middle and both boys on each side curled around her.

Auntie Flow

First semester was coming to a close, and all that hindered us from enjoying the thoughts of summer break were finals. Yes, the dreaded finals. Everyone, even prodigies, worry with finals. This school was unique though; it was a special junior middle that specialized in testing. The top 5 were considered “promised”. The number one slot was highly envied, being that if you were the number one, you received scholarships and received special treatment from the staff. The top 5 didn’t even have to attend school, unless it was for tests and exams. They even received a special uniform; it was like a letterman jacket, but for scholars.

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

The scores as it stands before the exams:

100.00 Lee SoYung

99.82 LuHan

99.79 Wu YiFan

99.71 Soo MiLin

99.70 Hwang ZiTao

SoYung was elated. She was always number one. Perfect score. She never missed anything, and she has never slipped to number two. She was finally where she belonged. Kris used to be number 20 in the list until he met LuHan and SoYung. They changed his study habits forever.

SoYung grabbed her books out of her locker to get ready for her next class. Luhan leaned up against the locker next to her, observing her confidant smile.

“Did you hear? You might have competition for number one.” LuHan asked her. He didn’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but someone had to be mature enough to tell her. SoYung froze and glared at him.

“Who? You?” She demanded looking agitated, hoping it was a joke.

“You know that new kid? The one that started last week? I've heard rumours that he was number one at his junior middle, you know, that presidous school across town.” LuHan sighed. He knew telling her this would make her upset and in super study mode.

“No, no no no! I cannot place second! No!” SoYung yelled as she ran to her class, leaving Luhan at her locker.

“I was first in my classes until you came…” Luhan said to himself as he trotted off to his next class, stopping only briefly to text Kris what just happened.

Across the school, Kris’ phone buzzed. He took a quick glance and groaned. This wasn’t good. He knew that his weekend plan of playing video games was just ruined by the chance of SoYung losing her number one slot. Just then, he heard a voice he did not want to deal with at the moment.

“Kris!” A tall boy with sharp eyes and impeccible fashion sense called out. Kris pretended to not hear him and went to his locker.

“Kris~.”  This time, the boy was next to him and whined his name. With an agitated grunt, Kris acknowledged his presence.

“Why are you ignoring me?” The boy asked, sad and depressed.

“Dang it, ZiTao! Just because we are in the same classes and both of us love music doesn’t mean I want to be your friend, or join that stupid band of yours. Get over it! I have enough to deal with as it is!” Kris snapped at ZiTao. ZiTao was accustomed to being ignored. But being snapped at; now that was something he wasn’t expecting. ZiTao was clearly upset as he turned away, holding back a sob.

“I’ll give up. Sorry for annoying you, I just wanted to be your friend.” ZiTao mumbled as he walked off, starting to cry.

“Whatever… I can't handle the drama right now. Not when my best friend is about to go through a crisis.” Kris grumbled, shoving his books back into the locker. He stormed towards the classroom nearly knocking over someone who was in the path. The kid dropped his books upon impact, which sent his student passbook flying.

“I-Im sorry.” The young man bowed in apology. “I should have been watching where I was going.”

“Whatever dude, it was my fault..” Kris picked up the passbook and handed it to the boy.

“Name’s Kris, you?” Kris flashed him a small smile.

“Yixing, but just call me Lay. I just transferred here last week.” The boy flashed a bright smile revealing a small dimple.

“Lay? As in Lay's Chips? Too funny!” Kris laughed at his own joke while Lay nervously laughed with him.

“It was a childhood nickname.” Lay flashed another disarming smile.

“Well Lay, see you around! I’m going to be late!” Kris took off running and entered his classroom just as the bell rang. Once he sat down, he froze. That kid was the one who could turn SoYungs life in a tizzy! He had a perfect score just like SoYung but his scores haven’t been fully processed yet, something about a discrepancy between the grading systems. Kris quickly took out his phone and texted his friends.

“ I met HIM.”-Kris

“Who?!”—SoYung

“Competition?”—LuHan

“Very.” –Kris

“OK study sessions, my house after school, all week!” –SoYung

“Got it”—LuHan

“Dang. Ruining my gaming streak!” –Kris

“Too bad! ;-P” –SoYung

It is now the Friday before exams and SoYung, Kris, and LuHan are studying in the front room around the dark cherry oak coffee table. They have been studying for the whole week non stop.

"Ok anyone want to study by memorizing with the flash cards I made last night?" SoYung asked while holding out the brightly colored flash cards, which elicited a very tired groan from Kris and a small sigh from LuHan. It was looking as though SoYung was not letting up on the studying.

"Guys! We can't let this 'Chips' guy beat us. We have to stay in tip-top shape!" SoYungs face contorted with determination. To the boys it looked as though she has a fire in her eyes and steam coming out if her ears.

"Break time! I made cookies!" Mrs Lee called out from the kitchen, trying to get them to take a small break.

"Yes!" Kris cheered and disappeared into the kitchen. LuHan glanced at SuYung and saw that she was in a state like a trance, lost in thought. LuHan chuckled and gently shook her shoulders to snap her out of it.

"Ma made cookies, let's eat so we can re-energize," LuHan softly said to her when she refocused on him. Instantly her face dropped and her eyes went watery.

"Cookies?! Who has time for cookies!" Exclaimed SoYung just as she started to cry. LuHan instantly became worried.

"SoYung! What's wrong? Why are you crying." LuHan started to panic, he hasn't seen her be this upset since 4th grade.

"I *sniffle* I don't know! I'm just so sad right now." SoYung suddenly started to cry harder and laid her head down on her books. Panicking LuHan called out to Mrs Lee.

"MA! Come quick!" He yelled out to the kitchen where Mrs Lee was still scolding Kris about trying to steal all the cookies. She quickly sprinted into the room and saw her daughter collapsed into her books sobbing away.

"Oh no, my poor baby." She settled in, sitting next to SoYung. Kris came walking out with a plate of chocolate chip cookies in his hand and a mouthful of more cookies.  He set them on the table and glanced over at SoYung; seeing her crying he froze and couldn't move. He didn't like it when girls cried. It scared him.

"My love, what is the matter?" Mrs Lee asked as she pulled SoYung up onto her lap. As she pulled her up the boys noticed a stain on the floor.

"I-is t-that BLOOD?" Kris' eyes went large in panic, "SoYung! Blood... Blood... Bleeding! ARE YOU HURT?" Kris started to freak out and moved towards her to check her. LuHan grabbed onto Kris and motioned him to stay put.

At the revelation of blood on the carpet where SoYung was sitting, Mrs lee swiftly carried her towards the bathroom, turning only to look at the boys and yell towards the stairs, "Dear! Time to explain Aunt Flow to the boys!" then shut the bathroom door leaving Kris confused and LuHan calmly thinking.

Mr. Lee walked down the steps and looked at the boys, shaking his head he just pointed towards his office, "Meet me in there, I'll be there in a minute."

Once the boys were out of earshot, Mr. Lee grumbled to himself, "I knew this day would come soon..."

LuHan walked into the office and took a seat on the couch facing the big oak desk. Kris followed suit and sat down once Mr. Lee walked into the room. LuHan sat back remembering the last time they had to be in this office; it was when the boys accidentally walked in on SoYung when she was changing. LuHan sighed, he knew what was going on, but Kris was completely clueless.

"Boys, as you may have noticed; SoYung has been a bit moody the past week. I don t know if your parents told you about certain changes.... Errr... Um... Dang, this is hard to explain." Mr. Lee was stumbling over what words to use.

"Ok, I'm just going to say it. Do you boys know what a period or menstrual cycle is?" Mr. Lee observed the boys reactions. LuHan calmly nodded yes and it was clear he knew what was happening. Kris on the other hand, his face contorted into a disgusted look, and turned red.

"Ah I take that as a yes. SoYung must have started her first one. Now boys, I have to warn you; SoYung is most likely going to be very agitated, very sick, and in lots of pain." Mr. Lee started to explain. LuHan suddenly looked scared and worried.

"Sir, she has exams starting Monday! Is this going to affect her at all?" LuHan asked with worry.

"Probably, which is where you guys come in." He pulled out a package from his drawer. "Give her chocolate and hot tea when she isn't feeling well. It will help with the symptoms."

He handed the package to LuHan, who inspected it. Inside, he found chocalote bars and tea bags for tea, along with a bottle of pills. Picking up the bottle LuHan held it up to read.

"What's that?" Kris asked looking both intrigued, but disgusted at the whole idea of menstrating.

"Oh that is pain meds for SoYung when the tea and chocolate doesn't work." Mr. Lee interrupted upon seeing the item he forgot to mention. LuHan put everything back into the package and folded it neatly to put into his pocket, adding it to the bandaids he already carried with him for use when SoYung hurt herself.

There was a knock on the office door and SoYung let herself in. She flashed a bright smile to the boys and grabbed their hands.

"Sorry pappa, but it's my turn with them. Breaks over, we need to get back to studying!" She laughed as she pulled the stunned boys out of the room towards the living room. She had changed into baggy sweats and an oversized sweater for comfort and she felt a lot better.
