Chapter 1- Road of Vengeance

Planet: Zarklev

War had been going on for almost ten years. On the front lines the Drazgov strike team had been fighting in almost every major battle. They were all very tired and the time they had was used spent in their beds or getting what food they could into their stomachs. If lucky they could get a couple hours of sleep but they rarely did that. Most would use the times to get in contact with home. If they were lucky they would get into direct contact with them and perhaps have a five minute conversation with their friends and families just to let them know they were alright.

It was early in the night and sun was blocked by the planet. In the heart of the 5th fleet on the capital ship, Levanor five, most of the crew was resting. The night watch were only a few numbers. Still extra numbers were pulling their wait down on the docks and the medical staff was on stand by. A squad of fighters would lead the way escorting three drop ships. One had only a few scratches on it, while another had received moderate dame, while the last was nothing short of a miracle that it was flying at all. Waiting for them at the docks was Jalrom dressed in combat gear wearing the rank of commander that was still freshly put on. Being promoted to commander of Drazgov strike team the team felt was well deserved. His view was different from those of his comrades. He didn't like watching from a monitor or listening to it on a radio like it was some kind of game. He wanted to be in the fight but accepted the job anyway. The squad of fighters broke off and the three shuttles made their approach one by one.

He watched as the first shuttle that was heavily damaged have a rough landing. The ramp door lowered and medics were waved on by Tormar to attend to the wounded. One of whom was their pilot, Barsloy Liyalk, who took three in his right leg. Next to him laid his co pilot, Gonu Benart, with a blanket to cover him completely.

In the second shuttle one Drazgov strike team captain of squad three, named Jora Ronsk, took one in the shoulder but was walking it off like it was nothing. And additionally helped other Premderian soldiers who were wounded along with civilians. On the lightest damaged shuttle were all heavy casualties that more medics rushed to take care of.

On the first shuttle that took heavy damage from being the last to leave the fight was squad five. Squad five would be lead by Kalsor who was wearing the rank of captain. He was emotionless as he had several cuts on his forehead that were nothing to him. Behind him were Tormar, Rancand, Duroks and Kentor. The rest of the Dragov strike teams from squads three that had the young Microvic and from squad four being lead by Ralo formed up on Jalrom.

They were not the only ones that would be having a late mission as the Drazgov strike team would have friends from another strike team called the Vesurk, a team which would be commanded by Kalsors brother in law, Greonor Lugralli, and also have Ceredine Destrit as a captain of one of the squads. Both teams had been tired and overworked but they all enjoyed knowing they had others who were going through just as much.

"Welcome back gentleman." he said to them all showing emotionless faces but gave both commanders the up most respect that they had earned "We both appreciate the effort you have been putting in but will have to put you back out there tomorrow." he said to them

"What is the mission sir?" questioned Ceredine

"Operation Chaotic Flames." he answered

Three words that all got their eyes to open a little wider. Operation Chaotic Flames was to be known as the final push against the enemy. To hear the words was also considered by many to be a mission that would suffer heavy casualties to end the war. To them, they were waiting for the day when they finally realized they were so close.

"I strongly recommend you get some chow and some rest." said Jalrom before looking at Kalsor to see him bleeding from his face and from his arm "You go see the medic." he said to him

"Yes sir." he said having a little smile

They all went to the position of attention and gave their commanders a proper Premderian salute when they all put their right fist on their heart and their commanders did the same to acknowledge it before they got ready to clean up. Kalsor did what he was told and got stitched up and sitting across from him was Jora getting his wounds taken care of. The two just stared at each other while getting stitched up. For Jora it was not just the end of a war but the end of his military career when it was finished. When they were both finished the two just stood up and looked at each other for a moment until Kalsor said something that had meaning to them both.

"Almost there." he said to him holding up his fist

"Almost there." Jora repeated tapping his fist

Jora smiled about the idea as did Kalsor with the two walking down the halls. The two went their seperate ways going down opposite halls. Kalsor passed the enlisted quarters that would be ten men to a room before going to the ones belonging to the officers where it would be two to a room. Kalsor opened the door labeled for Rideran and Destrit. Inside already Ceredine would just sit up against the wall on his bed still in his gear on a portable computer sending a message to his son. Kalsor sat on his bed and the first thing he would do is remove his shin guards and could instantly feel relief like he always would. The next thing he would remove were his boots and socks to give his burning feet the air they needed. The coldness of the floor was a big contribution.

"Only thirty eight and we feel like we twice that age." said Ceredine putting his portable computer away to follow what Kalsor was doing to let his body breath from after wearing their gear for the hard couple of days they have had "Do you think the Operation is really a go this time or they just jerking our leashes again like the last three times?" he asked him while taking off his vest

"Greonor and Jalrom wouldn't pull our leash about this one brother."" he said removing his vest before taking a moment to crack his neck and rotate his soar shoulders "We keep pressing forward like we have been and the enemy has made desperate moves since Markenhum and Caphrun have both come into the fight with their forces. The Yalkuri held their defenses and broke the forces thanks to the Tagrens. Premderia, the enemy is in full retreat evacuating the planet. On top of that we just took out their second largest installation that was considered their last lifeline to their main planet." he said having a little smile on his face "So yes I do believe this is the real deal." he told him removing his shirt to reveal his scars and bruises from over the years before slowly getting up to his feet to limp his way to their restroom

He shut the door with a little force taking a moment to rest up against the walls taking a few heavy breaths. He gripped a part of his shirt where his heart would be covered. He grunted a couple times but not loud enough for Ceredine to hear him. After a moment the pain would stop and he could finally focus on stripping himself of his clothes and washing the blood away from his skin. During the night he was restless an just stared up at the ceiling. Ceredine sat n his own bed looking out into the stars but looked at the one red star they would look at as a reminder of what the prize is. Neither man slept and were already geared up once more and sitting in the briefing rooms before their alarms to get up even when off. They sat there while others piled into the briefing word who looked like they did not sleep much either and were just as deep in thought.

"This will be a joint operation gentlemen." said Jalrom which got soldiers somewhat happy "This is coming from higher ups and with this kind of battle we will need all the help we can get to end this war." he said

"We didn't say a word sir." said a calm Kalsor

They did not have to say anything for Jalrom to see that it troubled them to get support from the alliance after they have been on the front en of this war the whole way. They all grabbed their books and notebooks. Duroks had a little smile as always while Kalsor was uncomfortable about the mission this time. Outside the command tent Jalrom lit a cigar and was met by Captain Nursh Wogilv and Captain Kefeor Naderus. Kalsor turned his head slightly so he could hear their conversation.

"Something you don't like about this mission Jalrom?" questioned Wogilv

"Alliance Reinforcements, attacking during the day instead of night, minimum air support, no ground reinforcements." he said taking a puff of his cigar and blowing it in their face "What isn't there to like about this mission." he said to them with a little smile taking another inhale of his cigar "Life is good for you two circling around in orbit watching on your monitors but down there the fight is different." he said to him

Kalsor heard every word that his friend and leader said. The two captains continued to have smiles on their faces while they walked away with his words. Jalrom just looked back over to the tent to see Kalsor staring at him over his shoulder. Jalrom just took another puff of his cigar till it was almost completely gone before flicking it into the dirt and pressing on it with his boot before walking away. Kalsor sat there on the the desk looking at pictures of his three children. Two days ago was his sons birthday and his chance to see him was missed due to the mission. A picture was sent to him of him and his group of friends, all of them smiles. In the center of them was his son, already standing out like a leader without him even knowing it. While he looked at it he was joined by Tormar smoking a cigar of his own.

"What do you think?" he asked Kalsor

"About what?" he asked in return while still looking at picture of his son and his friends with his mind furthest from what he already knew Tormar was asking about but Tormar did not ask again so he answered him "I just want this thing to be over." he said grabbing his things and standing up to walk only a few steps "This war needs to end so we can all go home." he told him before walking out of the command tent to bump into a very important figure that made the Fersillian soldiers jumping down Kalsors throat verbally

"Watch where you step." said the commander

Kalsor just turned and looked at him with his eyes that have seen more than his fair share of battle. The other guards were ready to jump in themselves, but some of Kalsors team were already tired and didn't mind having a little warm up before the main event that was about to happen. Fortunately the one that Kalsor bumped into did not think anything of it

"It is alright commander." said Vilman extending his hand out to Kalsor "Vilman Markenhum." he said

"Yes I know who you are." he said shaking his hand not having any smile about it "I am glad someone in the alliance finally had the nerve to step up during this long war." he said to him before walking away to be replaced by his colleague Tormar in the conversation

"Do forgive him prince. He has seen more than most of this war and just wishes for it to end like the rest of us." he said to him

"I hold know ill will towards him." he said watching him walk away "If half the stories are true about you and your team, I can only imagine how strained your bodies and minds are at this point." he said to him "But I wouldn't fight alongside anyone else but our team." he said to Tormar before Jalrom came walking up "I will see you in a few hours." he told him with a little smile before walking away and while the two Drazgov strike members watched Jalrom handed him a fresh cigar and the two of them both put one in their mouths

"What did he mean by that?" questioned Tormar while Jalrom lit his cigar

"Exactly what he said." he answered while lighting his own standing in the middle of the road watching soldiers scatter everywhere

"It is hard to believe we are so close after it being so long." said Tormar

"It is." he said watching on

The soldiers were tired but focused. They were very thorough in checking their gear for this mission and made sure they were good on everything when it came to ammunition and supply. The laugh and smile Duroks was known for having was non existent for this mission as he prepared. He knew what it all meant for this kind of mission. For the newer recruits they were reinforced with he showed how much of a soldier he can be by taking the extra time to inspect the squad he would be going with one by one. Even they all kept a poker face he could still see with his eyes which ones were scared. One boy was only sixteen and assigned to the front lines. He just patted him on the shoulder a couple of times.

"I will lead you in this fight." he said to them looking from one end of the ranks to the other "Stay calm, remember your training, and lets make it back alive so we can all go home." he said before looking to the commander of the company of soldiers giving him a nod to take charge

While everyone was scrambling around, Kalsor sat down already geared up with his rifle sitting in a corner trying to stay focused. While he was checking his ammunition he found his eyes looking down at another set of combat boots but were that of the Fersillian kind that had not seen much combat at all. He looked up only to see Vilman Markenhum standing over him but still went back to what he was doing. That did not stop him from having a conversation.

"You must be here to talk to me about something." he said to him

"I am told my team will be working with you and captain Destrit for this mission." he said

"Those are the rumors." he commented he said continuing to check his things but stopped when Vilman sat down next to him

"They say you are a wild one and don't like working with others." he commented to him having a little smile about it

"I only work with the best." he said in response to his comment "Makes my chances of getting home to my wife and kids better than working with a bunch of soldiers that look god in uniform or in training bu have never seen real combat." he said looking at his soldiers

"They are young and nervous but are well trained. But I respect them all because they all volunteered to fight this war and not wait for my father and his counsel to decide what are actions will be." he said before standing up

"I am glad you are here." commented Kalsor while adjusting the sights to his weapon getting Vilman looked back at him "And thank you for being as defiant as I heard you were when it comes to dealing with your father." he said having a smile

"Thank me when the war is over." he said

The alarms began to sound getting people to rush to their stations. To Kalsor he stood to his feet and walked towards his drop ship where others from his team be walking up the ramp. On the other side Vilman stood with the commander of his forces getting a count of their soldiers. When the count was complete they walked up the ramp before it closed. The three sat down nearest to the ramp. Ten drop ships full of soldiers, along with five larger drop ships containing ground vehicles and heavy support weapons, twenty bombers, and thirty fighters launched from the carrier. Six more carriers of the combined Premderian fleets launched the same amount. The large Fersillian fleet and Normosh fleet also launched their forces, mainly providing air support. Four Tagren cruisers provided flying close to Kalsor's drop ship. Yalkuri only provided one cruiser, but was their newest model. With it carried a squad of ten modified fighters, along with their ten best pilots, and a hundred of their finest warriors. The Halgrith defense fleet, the last line of defense for their leaders, did not equal the combined strength of their attackers. Hundreds of fighters launched from the defense fleet to meet their attackers. Cruisers began firing their heavy guns from both sides.

Fighters from the attack fleet accelerated to shield the drop ships and the bombers from being targets of their defenses. The Halgrith fighters flew forward in desperation not caring if they crashed into another ship. Evasive maneuvers were taken and exploding ships from both sides began, with debris filling space. The Yalkuri ship opened a gap for the drop ships with their special heavy cannons.  Not all drop ships were lucky.

"Hang on this is going to get rough." said Tormar

When the drop ships entered the atmosphere they were met by a second wave of defense consisting of several anti air weapons. Drop ships descended from the clouds and began flying low to the ground. The heavy bombers stayed at high altitudes, while the smaller bombers flew in low with the drop ships.

"Two minutes." shouted Tormar holding up two fingers

"Two minutes." repeated Kalsor holding up two fingers

The soldiers of the drop ship stood up from their seats having their weapons at the low ready. The drop began to rattle more and more the closer they got to their target.

Unexpectedly a massive hole blown open on the side of the ship from a missile. Several of the men would fall thousands of feet. Kalsor found himself struggling to hang on. Vilman gripped him tight for several minutes while they continued to fly through the hot spot while others would lay down covering fire. Vilman would just yell out in pain as he held the Premderian with his shoulder tearing. When the area was less hot others assisted on helping Kalsor into the huttle. Boh were attended to at the same time. Vilman refused aid even ith his shoulder out of place. Kalsor stood up quick while the ship lowered and picked up the man who saved him and extended his weapon to him. Vilman gladly grabbed it out of his hands with the one good arm he had.

"Let's finish this." said Kalsor

They all charged down the ramp taking heavy fire at the same. Several casualties were on all teams. Ceredine took a hit to the leg along with one to the shoulder, and a shot that missed his juggular by only a centimeter. The young group of soldiers that Duroks would lead found themselves scared and without any veterans to lead them after both of them had been killed. All they had was Duroks shouting instructions at them while they shook in fear. Vilman lost half of his men from the explosion on the shuttle and another quarter of his force was dead or suffered severe casualties.

The saving grace was the air strikes that were danger close but even they suffered heavy losses from the anti air guns that were in place on the fortress. For hours they would have to hold until a second wave of troops landed at the already hot landing zone. Artillery was dropped close to them and the ones that made it were used to put cover down on the anti air guns to make bomb runs easier on the fortress. Through the night they continued to try and fortify their positions and would find the enemy trying so hard to keep them from gaining a fortified position. While the enemy tried to push and scatter their forces a small group consisting of Kalsor, Vilman, Kentor, Tormar, and Duroks would sneak through their lines undetected to scout out the area to the west side of the complex. Most of the forces had been pulled from this side due to the heavy fighting to the north and east. Still they were lucky to get as close as they were with the air patrols and towers watching so closely. Soldiers would also patrol along the wall while there were several large patrol groups on foot. They keep their distance and watched from a high view point of what was happening to find a weak point. Kalsor and Vilman would both be looking through their binoculars until one of them found something intriguing.

"Lower left side of the wall about fifteen meters in." said Vilman who continued to look on with a look of focus while Kalsor adjusted his sight to what he was looking at

"I see it." he said having a little smile "You have good eyes." he said with a big smile which got Vilman to have a smile while they both looked

They all took a moment and looked through the binoculaurs to take a look at the soft spot. A small drain where waste would drain out down the hill. The second sun began to take rise and their concealment would not be for much longer. They began to fall back to the main fortification. Despite having a strong foothold set up with barriers being dropped in along with heavy artillery and heavy vehicles, the Halgriths continued to fight through the night to try and push the allied forces back. The efforts of the Halgriths ended in heavy losses and only delayed the allies in setting up defenses. The battle in space continued on as reinforcements from both sides came from different parts of the galaxy to aid in the battle. The strike teams that were fit for battle gathered around where they would be looking at a hologram of the complex. With their two commanders still in space, the squad leaders from each team appointed Kalsor lead the Drazgovs while Ceredine lead the Vesurks. Vilman and his soldiers be divided equally among the two teams. Vilman himself would fall in under Kalsor and his strike team. A heavy assault by the allied ground forces provided the diversion hey needed in order to draw the patrols close to the weak point they found away. The strike teams proceeded cautiously while the sun began to set until they were forced to switch to night vision. They proceeded away from the complex and used the hills where they had as a vantage point as cover in order to come to the stream that would run out from the castle. The water was only five fight feet high, good enough for them to conceal themselves. On top of the hill Duroks stood watch while they advanced making sure they would not run into any complications. When they got close enough, he made sure the two guards in the watchtower closest to the drain be unable to catch on. He fired one shot for each of them when they split off in different directions. The second barely turned his head before a round drove into the side of it.

"Your clear." he said to them of the communicators

The teams slowly emerged from the water and began to cut through the bars of the drain. The little light sparks were not bright enough for the enemy to take notice on the wall. When they were finished Jora pulled the drain out and the team proceeded with caution. When the last person entered Jora placed the drain back the way it was to not raise suspicion.

"Good luck." Duroks whispered over the communicator

"Just keep the drinks cold and save us those victory cigars." said Kalsor

"You got it." he said before moving off back to the stronghold

The strike teams slowly proceeded down the main line of the sewers before reaching a ladder leading up to the next level of the complex. At this point the two teams would come to two different directions where they would be forced to divide up. The two acting team leaders took a knee for a moment before going their separate ways.

"Minimum noise." Kalsor whispered to them

They all took out sound suppressors for their main weapon along with their side arms. They slung those weapons and took out their sharp knives to make the least amount of noise. While they prepared, Kalsor and Ceredine touched fists before leading their teams separate ways. When the two teams split up they proceeded further up where they would divide up into their squads. Along the way many silent kills were made without firing a single shot from their end. When Kalsor and Vilman came to a stairway they knew would lead to the main level, they lined up along the wall where they stopped for a moment.

"Vesurk one this Dragov one." he said silently over the communicator

"Drazgov one this is Vesurk one." said Ceredine

"Vesurk one what is you status?" he asked him calmly

"Stairway to the main level three hundred meters east of your location." he responded with

"Let us make sure we don't have friendly fire when we breach." he said

"Copy that. How do you wish to proceed Drazgov one?" he asked

"We will breach first draw the enemies from your location so you can flank them from the rear. After two minutes give them a nice surprise." he answered

"Just make sure you save some for us Drazgov one." he told him

"No promises." he told him before ending the communication

Kalsor slowly made his way up the steps. Already he could see the shadows of many holding their weapons. He could not get an exact count of how many though. He slowly poked his head out and could see several along the wall patrolling making him hold his hand up and waved his team back.

"All forces hold on the lower level." he said silently on the communicator

"Drazgov one this is Vesurk one, are you seeing what I am seeing?" he asked while he continued to looked

"A lot more than anticipated." said Kalsor

"With the anti air defenses, make it impossible for an air strike." he said

"With any kind of strike will only alert them on this side of the complex making them try to support this side." he said

"It will be a nasty gunfight." said Jora over the communicator

"Very." said Kalsor watching the activity until getting a pat on the shoulder to turn around and see Vilman who pointed in the direction of something that gave Kalsor a little smile before patting him with his fist on his armor.

In the corner stored under one of the walls on Kalsors side were several containers of chemical explosives and artillery rounds. All were slowly being loaded into the artillery and air defenses. It was a dangerous plan but it would give them a window of opportunity that they needed.

"All squads stand by until my signal." Kalsor said on the intercom

Kalsor took out both of his grenades. Vilman stood over his shoulder and watched as Kalsor emerged from behind the corner getting the attention of one or two before throwing the first. On his second throw the Hinrinel began to fire at him. After his throw was released, a shot grazed his shoulder making him take cover even faster grunting in pain. Five seconds later, a large explosion filled the courtyard and a cloud of dust filled the stairway and hallway that they took cover in. They activated their sensors so they could see and began advancing killing those that remained, even killing those that were wounded.

"Push forward." Kalsor shouted on his communicator

Reinforcements started to come from the other side. They lined up easy for them to pick off one by one but still were trouble in advancing. That did not stop Vilman from acting reckless. He charged forward to the main door killing four that stood in his way. Kalsor rushed after him killing two snipers in towers. The two took cover by the main door while the others continued to fight off the reinforcements.

"End this." Ceredine shouted on the intercom

The two of them planted an explosion on the door and took cover on the wall until it exploded. Kalsor tossed in two more grenades that were explosive along with two smoke grenades. They kicked open the doors firing in different directions killing off any Hinrinel in their way, They continued running down a long hall up five large steps killing seven Baladaunian guards dressed in special armor, in front of two large double doors. They took a moment and took a deep breath while they reloaded their weapons and were fully ready to enter. When they were, Kalsor held up three fingers and dropped one then the other, andwhen he made a fist the two kicked open the doors. The two had their weapons aimed only to find one standing their in front of the throne,

Kalsor and Vilman both found themselves standing face to face with the leader of the Halgriths. They could feel his power growing massively and it was just the two of them. They lowered their weapons while they looked at who was in front of them.

"Murdrix." said Kalsor looking at the Halgrith leader

"You shouldn't have to ask." said the Halgrith

Vilman aimed his rifle after he spoke and before he could fire, Murdrix held his hand out firing off a red energy making the two of them split into different directions. When Vilman tried taking aim again he found the Halgrith already in front of grabbing the side of his weapon and feeling the Halgrith fist drive into his cheek. Even taking the hard punch Vilman grabbed a hold of him by his wrist having a little smile.

"Do it!" shouted Vilman

Kalsor drove his blade into him without hesitation then pulled it out while Vilman released the hold on Murdrix, falling to one knee. Murdrix fell to his knees gasping for air before turning to look at Kalsor who held his blade ready to swing once more.

"You have evolved greatly since our last encounter." said Murdrix

"One must in order to survive otherwise you will perish." he answered

"Too bad it won't end here." he said smiling at him "I will not just be a memory to you." he said to him before turning his head away from him and holding it down "My vision will live on."

"If you say so." Kalsor said in response

Kalsor did not wait any longer and drove his blade downward to cut off his head with one slice. The moment everything was silent while the head of the king rolled on the ground leaving a small trail of blood at the same time. The two took a moment to breath not believing what it meant. The rest of the assault teams came rushing in to see what had happened. At that moment Kalsor took a breath before standing back up to his feet holding his wound. Before he could think about it all being over, he felt something small but something uncomfortable in power.

"Father!" shouted a young voice

Everyone turned to see a boy that was a mix of three different things that fascinated all of them. His eyes showed black just like that of the Verondor with his hair just as dark. The color of his eyes were yellow, signifying his Halgrith lineage. The last thing was the color of his skin being red and having sharp claws. Vilman and Kalsor watched as Vilmans soldiers took the boy and slammed him to the ground trying to restrain him. Kalsor could feel something dangerous lurking within the boy and doing what the Fersillians were doing only made him even more uneasy.

"Let me go!" he shouted several times

His anger made his power increase and his eyes began to surge with energy. Suddenly he let out a loud scream that made an energy form around him. The soldiers joined him in screaming when their bodies turned to ash as a red energy along with black energy started to swirl around him. It may not have been incredibly strong, but to see such power come from a boy like that made Kalsor shaky even more. Despite not showing any emotion towards what was happening Vilman, watched very closely as well what was happening.

Fersillian soldiers came rushing into the room aiming their rifles at the boy. Without orders they fired off several shots. The boy looked completely emotionless when his eyes glowed bright. The bullets stopped where they were and he held up his hand. The bullets went back in the direction of those who fired them dropping the Fersillian soldiers. Those who were left standing he charged pulling out his sword cutting down the last of them before turning his attention to those who were responsible for the death of his father.

The boys rage was strong enough that everyone could sense his power. He unleashed a powerful wave of energy that knocked Tormar, Kentor and Ceredine back then shot another ball of energy from his hands at Vilman. Vilman blocked it with his shield but was still knocked back by the blast. Before he could turn his attention to Kalsor, Kalsor was already in his face and struck as hard as he could to his stomach with his right fist. The boy dropped to his knees before falling to his face. He put restraints on him that would drain the energy out of him to the point where he would be unconscious.  He looked around and watched everyone slow to get up. They all circled around the boy and could not believe the power that he possessed.

"What about this one?" questioned Kalsor

"Lock him up." said Vilman

"But he is just a boy." said Tormar

"He is still dangerous but I will not take his life either." said Vilman

"So we are to condemn him to rot in a prison?" questioned Ceredine

"What other choices do we have?" questioned Kentor

A cryogenic tube was brought in by one of the shuttles hours later. While they waited, they made sure that he was drugged several times to prevent him from awakening. When the tube arrived, Kalsor placed him inside himself being careful. The boy was brought to the depths of his dungeon and locked away by a seal from Rifrenir. His body remained in cryogenic stasis while he did it.

"I will set up an establishment here in order to make sure no one breaks him out." said Vilman

"You are willing to have soldiers guard him?" questioned Kalsor

"Some evils need to be prevented from being unleashed." said Vilman

"He is right Rideran." agreed Rifenir looking back into the cell feeling the fierce power coming from someone like him "He may only be a child but someone like that could grow to be far stronger than any of us." he added

The necessary precautions were taken that day and within ten days, the Halgrith kingdom now belonged to the alliance, and became a military outpost for them, with their flags waving high. While soldiers cheered in celebration, Kalsor and Vilman walked side by side getting an applause of their own. The two stopped at the doors for a moment and looked at their soldiers mixed together before looking to one another before Kalsor extended his hand.

"It has been an honor to fight with you your majesty." he said to him

"The honor was all mine." said Vilman shaking his hand

Kalsor walked down the steps being patted on the shoulder several times by soldiers while he made his way to one of the Premderian drop ships piloted by Jelban, and Jinso with the strike teams. While the two strike teams began to walk through the crowd towards the drop ships, Kentor stopped beside Vilman.

"What will he do now?" he asked Kentor

"Continue fighting in some way to become stronger to protect those he cares about, but at the same time enjoy the time with his family." he said to him before turning around shouteing something while the crowd cheered that Vilman could barely hear "As should you." before continuing to walk

Vilman just chuckled at Kentors statement while watching Kalsor waited for Kentor to be the last to be loaded into the shuttle. Before his feet stepped off the baron wasteland of his enemies soil, he looked to Vilman. Kalsor gave him a small smile before showing him a true Premderian warrior spirit. He let out a loud yell strteching his arms out to his side before taking his rifle and pounding his heart with it a few times before repeating the action one more time. Vilman just smiled before holding his fist up to him showing his respect for the Premderian. He watched on as the two Premderian strike teams took off into the atmosphere while the ramp lifted.

Planet: Halgrithium

The dungeon was quiet. Inside the cell the Halgrith boy had grown despite being in cryogenic sleep. Perhaps it was fate, despite it only being a malfunction in the system. The old man with his staff, covered in a black hood and cloak held out his hand. The hand began to glow red and the sides of the cryogenic tube where their were latches ripped off and fell to the ground.

"Those fools think you are a dangerous enemy but I myself see you as a valuable ally." he said still having a little smile on his hood

"Ally?" he questioned getting a no from the robed man

"With your powers and my endless resources, I can make you into the perfect killing machine." he said to him

"I do not need your assistance for that." he told him

"Your powers are too wild and you are unable to control them. Any warrior like a Rideran or Alzun will be able to exploit your weaknesses if you do not learn to control them." said the old mystery man

"And you can teach me how to do that?" he questioned

"Who are you?" questioned the creature

"Someone that needs your kind of services." said the man in black robes

"Services for what?" questioned the creature

"Allow me to show you." he said walking out leaving the door open for him while turning his back to the creature imprisoned for so long "What is your name boy?" he asked while they walked being hesitant to answer

"Steron." he answered finally "And what is yours?" he asked

"Just call me your employer." he told him while they walked to the hallway to see bodies bloodied, battered, and burned all along the wall

"You did this by yourself?" questioned Steron as they walked

"With the amount of power I have nothing is impossible." he said continuing to walk

"Then why come for me?" he asked

"I want you to extract revenge on your enemies." he said to him whih got Steron thinking of his last memories before he was imprisoned thinking of the faces that imprisoned him "I want you to kill those who put you where you were." he said to him

"And what is in it for you?" he questioned looking to the back of the old man who gave an odd answer

"The pleasure of seeing your enemies suffer." he said to him

Steron looked up a sight of millions upon millions of machines hard at work with Hinrinel, Baladaunians, Tagrens and Olgrinarians being equipped for battle. Tens of thousands of ground vehicles, and tens of thousands of air craft already being made. The creatures made for the army were different in appearance as their skin color was that of a dark green color like their eyes.

"Why are they so different from the originals?" questioned Steron

"Unlike the originals, these are far more loyal and will follow orders no matter how foolish." said the old man as they watched

"What about the old allies?" questioned Steron

"The Gelmuray and Verondor will not be at your disposal but the Zarons and Intrelsics have already agreed to aid you." he told him

"Even so a force like this is not strong enough to crush my enemies." commented Steron as he looked upon the endless numbers

"I do not wish for you to crush all your enemies." said Vilman getting his attention "I only wish for you to crush one." he said to him before they moved on with Steron a king a moment before following to look upon the army that was being called his

They walked to a room where it was guarded by two of the newly created Tagrens in a different more advanced armor than their original models from the war. The doors opened and inside were several robed figures of different species. All of them got down on one knee but one with two swords stood in front of them all showing his leadership of them.

"Who are they?" asked Steron

"These are your loyal commanders of your army." he answered "They will serve you in the war." he added

"And what about you?"

"I am only a spectator." he said before going to another door "I have another gift for you that will prove useful in the upcoming war." he said to him before the doors opened making Steron look upon a gift specifically for him

Inside were four female servants that were dressed in exotic outfits. In between them was a black armor with red and gold trimming with a red cape and black and gold going around the outside edge, while black went around the inside edge.

"Another gift?" questioned Steron

"More of a weapon to help you." said the old man

The four women helped place the armor on Steron without him having any complaints. He allowed them to dress his naked body. When he was finished he looked at his hands covered by the armor before standing tall for a moment looking to the old man.

"You say this armor you designed to help me but I feel that my power is being contained." he said

"Your power is great but uncontrolled. You must learn to focus it, and control it, and once you learn that you will be be unstoppable." he said before turning his back to Steron and beginning to walk away "Use this time to train your powers and I will let you know when the time has come for you to seek revenge." he said continuing to walk

"Why must I wait with a force this size and the powers I have?" he questioned looking to the old man that got him to stop "Why don't I just kill you right now?" he questioned with his hands glowing dark red

The old man gave him his side and extended out his hand. Steron felt his body pushed hard into the wall cracking the stone wall behind him. Steron hunched over catching his breath while the old man dropped his hand and turned his back to him once more. Steron stood up straight once more standing calm accepting the quick defeat.

"How long must I wait?" questioned Steron

The old man did not answer and continued walking back into the other room where the followers stayed on their knees. When he stepped in front of the one who had two swords on his back. He held up his hand and motioned with it to stand up to his feet. The man with the swords stood up and put his fist on his chest keeping his head down.

"Make sure he sticks to the plan." said the old man in black robes

"Yes my master." he said to him bowing his head not even looking into his glowing red eyes or when he turned his back to him while he began walking out

"I expect a report on the progress frequently until the time comes." he said to him walking down the halls to the lower levels of the facility

The old man came to an elevator where several men dressed in black military gear that did not identify them. From what it looked like, it was alliance grade. At the top level of the floor there was just as much activity as thousands upon thousands of vehciles of both air and ground were being organized by the millions of the newly created Halgrith force. The old man kept walking to a heavily armed custom made shuttle with a squad of ten custom made fighters that looked just as lethal were docked. The old man boarded the shuttle not realizing that Steron was watching from afar.
