                Spider-man smiled as he walked into the court house. Reporters stood on the sides recording as he escorted a masked figure inside. The figure was a man who wore a silver, spherical helmet. He had just committed a crime wave and Spider-man had caught him. They walked into a large courtroom where a jury and judge sat watching as the man was placed on the suspect chair. Spider-man sat in the stands as the judge stood up. "We now call this trial against Quentin Beck, who is responsible for a large crime wave.", says the judge. "Your honor.", says the defendant, "I believe my client did not commit these crimes on purpose. He has a mental issue." "I object!", says Spider-man, "He seemed to be doing it on purpose to me!" "Sit down!", says the judge, "You are not allowed to talk." Spider-man sat down. Apparently, the city was still mad at him from the time with the symbiote. "What do you think?", says the judge, turning towards the jury. The jury talk amongst themselves and then turn towards the judge. "Your honor.", says a member of the jury, "I think that-" Suddenly a large explosion goes off. Glass flies everywhere as people run for the exit. A figure on a glider flies in and grabs a member of the audience. He flies back through the hole, and Spider-man follows. "Ah, the itsy-bitsy spider!", says the figure. He grabs an orange grenade and throws it at Spider-man, who dodges out of the way. He fires his web at the glider. "What's your deal?", asks Spider-man. "That's none of your business, spider!", says the figure, "But you won't be alive long enough to know when dealing with the Green Goblin!" He presses a button with his foot, and the webbing Spider-man hung onto was cut off. Spider-man fell down onto the road below as Green Goblin flew off into the distance.   

                Spider-man watched as the Green Goblin flew away. He tried to understand why he wanted the audience member so badly. He then remembered that the audience member was wearing a shield badge. He stood up, and swung towards the court house. Police had arrived and Beck had escaped. "Drat!", said Spider-man. He shot out his web and flew back home. He took off his suit and turned on the TV. "The police are now searching for Quentin Beck, who vanished during his trial after an explosion. And in other news, Norman Osborn is still missing as search efforts continue.", says a news reporter. Peter sighed. He felt that Norman vanishing was his fault. He brought the symbiote to his lab where Norman was killed. He then thought about the figure he faced earlier. He showed up the same time Norman vanished. Norman Osborn was the Green Goblin. Peter goes to his room and pulls on his costume.

                The Green Goblin flew into Oscorp and dropped the shield agent. "Now tell me, where is the Siege Perilous?", asks Green Goblin. "I don't know!", says the agent, "All I can say is that it was taken to a secure vault somewhere!" "That's all I need.", says Green Goblin. He locks up the agent, and flies off towards a large mass in the sky, known as the Shield helicarrier. He throws a bomb at a wall, and the wall is blasted off. Alarms go off as the Green Goblin flies in. Spider-man notices the explosion on the helicarrier and swings up. He lands on the top and notices the Green Goblin flying towards a guarded room. "Hey!", says Spider-man. Green Goblin turns around and notices Spider-man. "You!", he says. He turns back around and fires at the door, blowing it apart. He breaks a glass case holding a gold and red jewel. "I've got you gobby!", says Spider-man launching himself towards Green Goblin. They fly backwards as the jewel falls to the ground. Suddenly a blue light fills the room. Green Goblin grabs the jewel, but not before Spider-man grabs it and suddenly they are transported through a magical portal. The siege perilous floats through the portal, and Green Goblin grabs it. Suddenly they land in a graveyard. The Green Goblin flies away as Spider-man stands up. He then notices a gravestone, and falls to his knees. The stone has his name on it.
