Out of Place

Tablo reader up chevron

An Ancient Egyptian temple – in a glass-roofed space.

Doesn’t look right, out of place.

Standing stately,

Surrounded by curious visitors.

Old graffiti amongst the hieroglyphs.

Does it long for warm Egyptian sun?

Attendant priests and pilgrims?

Its dignity intact, its deity revered.

Away from modern day irreverence

And sticky fingers.
