In Absolute Peril

Noah - Prolouge

I was just about to send a reply back to the group chat when I heard a clap of thunder so loud I accidently threw my phone halfway across the room. Or at least I thought it was a clap of thunder. You never could be sure around here in good ol' Cincinnati, Ohio. The weather here was always unpredictable.
"Ryan Fernandez, you get your ass back here right this instant!!!" I heard my mother yell from the other room. I took a deep breath and pulled myself to my feet to reobtain my cell phone from across the room when my brother came storming in and roughly shoved me aside.
"Getoutofmyway doofus." He slurred. I tried to avoid him most of the time he was ALWAYS drunk or high on something and he was ALWAYS unpredictable. He had never been nice to me. My parents literally have pictures of me as a baby while Ryan is holding me just by my feet and laughing. I swear he doesn't have a heart. Then again neither do my parents, I mean they photographed that incident rather than stopping him. Not that I was really even surprised, they were also most of the time drunk or high. Technically, this is the point when everyone says, "Oh, I can't wait till I'm 18 and can leave this place forever!"
However, I am over that magical age of 18, I'm 19. So, why don't I just leave? Well, it's not that simple. There would be nowhere for me to go. My family lives in the worst neighborhood, although I'm the only one that doesn't really fit in here. For me to have even the slightest chance of making it on my own out there I'd have to get a job and have to pay for my own food and clothes and stuff which is really just pointless because my parents still think I need a "curfew" when obviously it's them that needs the curfew. God, please don't ever let them hear me say that. I'd get the beating of a lifetime.
I bent over and retrieved my phone after squeezing past my brother.
"WARNING RADIOACTIVE ACTIVITY IN YOUR AREA." The tv blared turning itself on. I glanced up at the tv and then glanced at Ryan who was just staring at the tv with glossy eyes. Wait a second. Radioactive activity? Like...as in like a nuclear explosion?? That was the boom of thunder I heard?
"WARNING. RADIATION LEVELS HIGH. EVACUATE AREA AS SOON AS POSSIBLE." My phone bleeped this time. Ooookayy. What do I do now?? Wasn't I just talking about how I have nowhere to go? There's no way my family would even take this seriously. Should I still go? I mean I would love to leave them but they're still my family. I turned back to my brother but he was passed out on the couch. But when wasn't he? I heard him snoring and realized it was a lost cause. An extremely loud siren began wailing outside. One I had never heard before. I decided I needed to move. I ran upstairs to my bedroom and grabbed my bookbag, shoving clothes, and pretty much anything I could think of that I couldn't live without in like five minutes. Just as I was yanking my phone charger out of the plug and shoving it in my bag, my phone buzzed in my pocket.

I glanced at the caller ID before answering.
"OH THANK GOODNESS."
"Paige, now is not the-"
"We've been waiting for a reply from you for like a half an hour. What is going on?"
"Paige. Seriously now is really not a-"
I jumped as I heard my mother scream from the other room at the top of her lungs for no reason. But then the sirens drowned her out.
"Noah?"
"Paige, there is something I have to tell you because I may never have the chance to tell you in person."
"Um, alright mr this isn't a good time. Go on."
I took a deep breath. I wasn't going to make it out of this mess. Not with my mother in a mood like the one she is apparently in. When she get's like this she doesn't let anyone leave. I swear it's like she turns into some crazy ninja woman.
"I lo-"
BANG! BOOM! BAM!
And I guess I'm not going to tell her over the phone either.

I groaned and opened my eyes, blinking about seven times a second. I'm not quite sure what had happened but the light was really bright. I lifted my hands to rub the sleep out of my eyes and hopefully help me see a little in this bright light, but I froze halfway to my face when I noticed well first my hands were filthy and second I had IV's and all kinds of wires connected to my arms. I mean for goodness sakes I even had one of those nose breather things.
It was then that I remembered the explosions and remembered how I was supposed to have run away to get away from the radioactive areas around my house. I guess that didn't go quite as I had planned. I wonder if Paige had heard the explosions through the phone.
PAIGE!

Oh my goodness. How long had it been since that even happened? I left her hanging on the phone and I was about to tell her how-"Noah Fernandez?" Someone asked from the doorway. I looked over that way. I saw an older woman with black hair and pretty obvious grey streaks, watching me. "Good you're awake. I think it's time I fill you in on what's been going on around here." She said.

Willow - 1

It's been two weeks since any of us had heard from Noah and I was getting really worried. I mean not that I wasn't already it's just, two weeks? That is a really long time. Especially for any of us not to chat, I mean sure sometimes it was maybe an hour or so before one of us sent a message but it had never been more than a day. It's possible one of us wouldn't be on at that exact moment though. But we would always hop in on the conversation when we saw the messages. You see, we are, well almost all of us, are in different time zones so it's hard to always talk together. I mean other than me, Paige and Zoey. We were all in the UK time zone. But Noah was in America which was like five hours behind. Austin who was in Australia is like half a day ahead. Then you have Jordan, whom was in Africa, which was an hour ahead of us. Despite the distance between us, we were all the best of friends. That's why every single one of us are super worried about Noah. Like is he dead? They showed the explosions in TV and they said very few survived. But Noah isn't responding, what if he really was dead? Okay, geez. I should not talk like this. I am his friend, I have to hope for the best.

"Guys, I'm scared. What if he's dead?" Paige was saying. Well, I guess I'm not the only one thinking it. I felt really bad for Paige, I knew it was even harder on her than all of us. She had this like, really huge crush on Noah and he TOOTTAAALLLLYYY liked her back. That's why after the explosion, me and Zoey decided to join Paige at her house.

"Come on, Pagers, don't think like that! You know Noah, he's probably just like way behind on homework or something." Zoey explained, rubbing Paige's back. I gave Paige a warm smile but glanced at Zoey. I knew just from her voice that the two of us knew that that was not the case. Paige knew it too. But we had to reassure her, maybe it would reassure us too. Who knows? I was about to say something, which I didn't even know what it would've been but there was a classical music song began to play noise from Paige's bed. She dived to look at it, she ripped her laptop open.

"YES!!" She said gasping and clicking on buttons.

"Usted babosa sucia! Me asustaste hasta la mitad, no puedo creer que me harías eso. Estúpido." Paige spat out at her computer in what I believed was Spanish. But I didn't know, because I didn't know Spanish. I only know French and American.

"Well that wasn't very nice. But hello to you too." A male voice said, but we had video chatted a lot and I knew who that voice belonged to. Zoey and I rushed over to Paige's side to show our faces in the screen as well.

"You understood me?" Paige asked looking more bewildered than I would've ever thought possible.

"Uhh, yeah. Why wouldn't I be able to?" Noah asked, now with the same expression on his face.

Both of the boys joined the video chat right as Paige said, "Noah, I just yelled at you in Spanish. I didn't even think you spoke Spanish."

"I don't."

"Do you understand Spanish?" Paige then asked.

"Uhh, no."

"Than how the heck did you understand her?" Austin asked. I looked up at his side of the screen, right above Jordan's and fell deeply into a daydream from his beautiful bright blue eyes. He probably didn't even know what was really going on and at this point, I didn't either and I was here from the start.

"Guys! Can we stop wondering for a second why in the hell Noah can understand Spanish and just be happy that he is ALIVE?!?!" Zoey exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. I wasn't quite sure why, but Zoey and Noah had this strange kind of friendship. It was different than Noah's and say Paige's relationship.

I think it was mainly because of love for the same kinds of sports teams or something.

"Zo's right. But Noah. Where have you been for the last two bloody weeks?" Austin asked.

"The hospital apparently." Noah said looking a little distressed.

"Woah, you survived the explosions? How is that possible? They were like directly on your house." Jordan asked speaking for the first time since the video chat started.

"Because I'm an indestructible good lookin guy, that's why."

"I'll say." Austin cheered, holding his fist up to the camera. Noah grinned and did the same. Dude, I swear the two of them had the best bromance in the world. We were all sit sitting there chilling, talking when thunder was heard from above us. Scaring me and the girls who screamed. But we than laughed at ourselves.

"PAIGE MADELINE ALLEN COME HERE PLEASE." Paige's father yelled from downstairs.

"Paige, did you actually do something irresponsible?" Austin joked. Paige scoffed and fake laughed at him. "Haha. No. I'll be right back. Zoey, don't touch that." Paige yelled, as she was running out of the room.

"Don't touch what? I wanna know what you can't touch- wait are you girls together?" Austin whined.

"Hashtag jealous." Noah said looking disappointed through the computer screen as did the other two.

"Yes, we are together. Some of us don't live as far away as we think. Well actually, us girls are all pretty close but you guys are all like an ocean away. Except Jordan but there's still water between the land masses." I said laughing at myself. I always wouldn't shut my mouth.

"Maybe I should come crash your party." Jordan said joking but then there was very distant screaming.

"Hang on guys," Jordan disappeared for a moment before returning, "I have to go." He said. Jordan's face left the screen, leaving just the four of us.

"So." I said breaking the awkward silence that was there. "What do you think Paige is in trouble for?"

"Are you sure she's even in trouble? When has Paige ever been in trouble?" Noah asked.

"Wé, one hundred percent." I joked, sarcastically.

"I'm sure its nothing. We're beginning to see Paige has a interesting relationship with her parents."

"Well it can't be anything worse than mine was." Noah said, looking off into the distance. I glanced at Zoey and we exchanged a look with Austin as well.

"Did you say 'Was' as in past tense?" Zoey asked. Noah bit his lip and nodded before he glanced over at something. "Hang on, I'll be right back." he said and closed his computer, well I'm assuming because he had reached up past his screen and then his screen went dark.
"And then there were three." Austin mused. I bit my lip looking around Paige's room for something to talk about. Looks like I didn't need to think of a topic, because Zoey had it covered.
"I think we should all get together like in person soon."
"Okay, I'm back." Jordan joined the call once again. But I completely ignored him and decided to answer Zoey.
"Umm, some of us are already together."
"Well, I- You know what I mean. Like, all of us. Maybe we could like bring Noah a big get well card and a giant stuffed animal. Or something." Zoey joked. But she had a good point, it would be amazing to meet Austin in- I mean everyone in person. Plus with the attack and whatever Noah meant by 'was'. This could be something big.
"That's a great idea!" A voice exclaimed from the door.
"What the heck is happening?" Jordan asked. Me and Zoey glanced at the door to see Paige standing there.
"What? Seriously? I was totally kidding!" Zoey laughed.
"Yeah, you might've been buuuuutttt I may already have tickets..."
"WHAT?" Zoey and I exclaimed together. Paige nodded and held up three plane tickets. Both Zoey and I were stunned. I'm assuming so were the boys because they hadn't said anything either.
"My dad, uhhh. He, um, thinks that we're going to get bombed here. So he is sending us to America, where he thinks we will be safe." She sheepishly smiled at us.
"Uhh, I mean sure. You know, since my mother and Father died in that crash.... That's a great idea!" I spoke to myself more than the others after getting the idea of going to stay with my grandparents that happen to live in America. After I realized everyone was waiting for me to explain my great idea. I did.
"Although, isn't it possible that they might have been in the explosion and died to?" Zoey asked. Way to burst my happy bubble Zo.
"I suppose it's possible. I can see if Noah is close by there and- where exactly are we going in America?" I asked Paige.
"You know, I'm not sure but we could probably convince my dad to take us to Noah. I mean yeah. I think it could be fun."
"Are you saying that because you actually think it would fun or just because you want to meet Noah in person and kiss his face all over?" Zoey asked, Paige thwapped Zoey in the back of her head.
"Neither!" She yelled defensively, her voice cracking all over the place.
"You guys are so much more fun when you're in person. Hey, why don't we all go?" Jordan said with a hint of laughter in his voice.
"Wow, Paige you have to work on your lies." I spoke at the same time as Jordan.
"Yeah. I know." Paige said trying to change the subject, though her face clearly still displayed her embarrassment.
"Why don't we all go? We could like meet you, Jordan. Than you can fly with us to America. Since you are close." Zoey said.
"I'm pretty sure my dad-" Paige was cut off as the door opened and we saw Mr. Allen poking his head in.
"Hey Mr. Allen, do you think it would be okay if Jordan came with us?" Zoey asked. Mr. Allen raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Uhh, you know, Jordan." Paige grabbed her computer to let her dad see the screen. "This one." Jordan smiled and waved at Paige's father.
"And you are the one in Africa?" Mr. Allen asked. Jordan nodded and Mr. Allen pulled out his phone. "I think that could be arranged. What about you aussie?"
"Oh, well I would love to. But I am kind of WAY farther than any of you guys." Austin said.
"So? I can still buy you a ticket." Mr. Allen spoke as if he really wanted Austin to go.
"Sir, you don-" Paige's father cut Austin off.
"Okay then. It's settled." Mr. Allen put his phone to his ear.
"I- Sir-" Now Paige cut off Austin.
"Austin, you shouldn't turn down my father. Trust me." Paige explained. Mr. Allen grinned and put his phone away.
"There, it is all taken care of. We shall see you both in America." And he left the room.
"This is soo exciting!" Paige squealed, at the exact moment Noah logged back on.
"What's exciting?" He asked.
"That...uhh.. That I'm not actually in trouble?" She said it like a question, but Noah didn't seem to notice. He was too busy being lost in her eyes. Ugh. I shipped it so hard. I was going to make them official. After all I was from the City of Love itself, it was a gift.
"So, I gotta go pack." Austin said but by the look of his face he immediately regretted what he said/
"What are you packing for?" Noah asked.
"Uhh, A surfing tournament." Austin lied. Man he was good at lying, I would totally think he was telling the truth if I didn't already already know what he was really packing for.
"Bye." He said than he logged off. Than Jordan spoke.
"Yeah, I have to go too. See you guys later." Jordan said, winking at the camera and then logged off as well. He didn't lie, but he always normally did get off just by saying he had to go. So it wasn't that strange. Noah shouldn't suspect anything, as long as we come up with a good excuse.
"Noah, do you know what the Briggs home hospital is?" I asked.
"Yeah, everyone knows what that is. They're the some of the most accomplished doctors in America. Why?"
"Oh, they're my grandparents." Noah flinched, shaking his head.

"Like you parents parents?" I nodded, I thought Americans just called them grandparents.

"Is that weird to you?"

"It's just, I didn't. I can't see them being your grandparents-" Noah started but I cut him off.

"Anyway, can you see if they survived the explosion?"

"Uhh, yeah sure. They're right a couple blocks away from where I lived. So sure."

"Are you sure? I mean-"

"It's no problem, Willow." I smiled at him and thanked him before turning off the video chat.

"Whew." Paige said flopping on her bed. "I feel bad lying to him."

"We're not lying. We are just not telling Noah our plan. It's to surprise him." Zoey said laying on her stomach and elbows.

"Besides. We have some packing to do." I smiled hugely. I was so excited. We would all finally be meeting and the only thing that could possibly be weird might be what height we are. It was weird when me and Zoey came to Paige. Me and Zo are around the same height but Paige is like three and half inches shorter. We knew she was short but she is like really short. To guys? She'll look like a mouse to an elephant. Okay, woah. Not that difference. At least with Jordan, he, through video chat at least, looks pretty small and he is only fifteen. That's where we are all a little different. Jordan is the youngest at fifteen, Paige is sixteen. Me and Zo are seventeen, Austin is eighteen and Noah is nineteen. I know right, Noah looks like he is sixteen. But we don't even care, we're all best friends. No one cares about ages or height. At least I don't.

"Yeah but I still feel like I'm betraying him." She said.

"Hey, just look on ze bright side. You'll get to meet him." I said, smiling to myself that I was going to meet Austin. Like everyone but Noah knows of Paiges crush, so I wonder if they know about mine. Eh, I Probably have nothing to worry about. There are two possible scenarios. One my crush isn't as head over heels as Paige's or two Austin was always too busy laughing/watching Noah. What the hell was it it about that boy that we all loved so much? Paige more than us, but none of us could seem to keep ourselves away from his adorable charms. Paige sighed happily, she was probably thinking of him, and then she got up and turned to Zoey and I.

"Okay. Enough lounging around. It's time to pack ladies."

Paige - 2

I may have been a little nervous about going to America and no it wasn't all because of Noah, it was just mostly about him. The other like 10% was the fact that I had never left England before much less ridden on an airplane. I sat on my rump, on the ground by my dresser. How was I only suppose to pick some of my clothes. The rest I may never see again, not after what my dad had said. He knew something. He had to of. When he had first called me down I panicked. I mean what parent calls their child by their full name unless they're in trouble? But see, and not that i'm trying to brag but, I never get in trouble, EVER! Once I got over my fear of possibly actually being in trouble I went down stairs and found out it wasn't me that was in trouble, it was the whole world.

"PAIGE MADELINE ALLEN COME HERE PLEASE!" Dad had called. I'm pretty sure that I jumped so much. If i had been holding a drink I would have flung it everywhere and it would have gone all over mine and Zoey's lap.

"Paige, did you actually do something irresponsible?" Austin asked and I replied as simply as possible, and sarcastically.

"Haha. No. I'll be right back. Zoey, don't touch that." I called as I left. I ran down the stairs like I did and almost ran into our house keeper, Audrey. She already disliked me for reasons I'll never understand.

"Sorry. I- my dad needs me. Are you okay?" Audrey nodded, rolling her eyes at me. The tea she had been holding was now spilled all over herself and the lush carpeted staircase.

"I got it ma'am. Just go to your father, he is not one to keep waiting." I reluctantly left Audrey and went into the sitting room where my father was waiting for me.
"Hi. What's wrong Daddy?"
"Darling, I have something to tell you, and you're probably not going to like it very much."
"What is it?"
"Well, you know how America was bombed?" I nodded not really understanding where he was going with this.
"Well. I have a feeling that whoever bombed America will bomb here soon. So, we need to get out of here. I don't want your life to end this early for you. I even got tickets for your friends." He said. I stared at him bewildered for a moment. We were going to America? All of us?
"My friends, as in Willow, Zoey, Austin and Jordan?" I asked. Dad shook his head.
"Darn, well not the boys. I only meant Willow and Zoey but I suppose I can send the boys as well." I smiled at my dad.
"Okay Dad. Come upstairs in like two seconds after I tell Willow and Zoey than you can come in and ask the boys. Kay?" Dad nodded and I ran back up the steps to where my friends waited.
"Well, I- you know what I mean. Like, all of us. Maybe we could like bring Noah a big get well card and a giant stuffed animal. Or something." I heard Zoey say.

"That's a great idea!" I exclaimed. Then I had explained everything.

Then when Noah had gotten back on he seemed really confused but I think we had a chance to actually pull this off. The boys didn't say anything either and I was relieved. I'm pretty sure Austin pulled off his lie like perfection. But lying to Noah killed me on the inside. I could hardly deal staring at him through a screen. How would it be in real life? I mean, I would get a full view of him, not just his head. He's probably super tall and make me feel like an ant.

"You ready?" Willow asked tightening her bookbag strap.

"What?" I asked, I knew what she said but I didn't understand it.

"You were so out of it Pagers. Are you okay?" Zoey asked sitting on my bed. I turned my head to look at them better.

"I mean I just have to leave home, like whatever I bring is what I will have. I will never see anything else again. It's a hard decision." I dropped one of my shirts back in my drawer.

But we were all like super excited, at least I am. I think the other girls would be too. You know since we all squealed. That was a new level of girl for Zo. I mean not that she didn't have a girly side because she did she just didn't like to express it in front of other people, especially not the guys.
"When are we stopping there?" I asked.
"Attention passengers. We will be taking a quick pit stop in Africa to refill on gas. Once we land, please be back in your seat within three hours. We will be landing in five minutes. Please remain seated and buckled until the aircraft has come to a complete stop. Thank you." I smiled so big it hurt my jawbone. But I was so glad to finally meet another one of the friends I have been too talking for four years in person. EEEEKKK!! The next five minutes felt like an eternity But we finally landed and got off the plane.
"Let's go." I said bounding off the plane but stopped causing everyone else to run into me. "Who knows where Jordan lives?" Willow and Zoey exchanged shrugs.
"Quick video chat?" Zoey suggested as Willow pulled out her phone and typed words. "Or text." Zoey crossed her arms. There was a ding and Willow showed her phone to my dad.
"Let me put it in my GPS on my phone and we'll be off." I could hardly contain my excitement. Wouldn't you if you knew somebody for four years but have never actually seen them in flesh? After thirteen minutes of driving we arrived at his house. We all got out of the jeep and walked up to the house making sure it was the right one.
"Okay. So this is it. Who's going to knock?" I asked holding my hands back. Everyone glanced between each other for two seconds before Zoey huffed and (Blew the house down) knocked on the door.

The door opened and Jordan stood there. I have to say, I like that he was young. You know why? He was not much taller than me, like at all!
"Wait, why are you guys here?" He asked but he couldn't hide his smile.
"You want us to leave?" Zoey asked joking turning around ready to walk away. Jordan reached out and grabbed her arm.
"No, please don't go. Take me with you!" Zoey turned back around and we all stared at his hand holding Zoey's arm and he quickly let it go and stepped back.
Zoey scoffed. "Uh, that was the plan!"
"Come on in. Although. Be careful- uhh just.." Jordan opened the door more and led us to the steps.
"Just come up to my room. My parents aren't the tidiest people on earth." Jordan lowered his head and looked towards the ground as we all walked up the steps. I'm sure the others figured out what goes on at Jordan's house but one time. We were the only ones on (Surprisingly) and we just exchanged our stories. The truth is, his parents were slugs. Well not literally but they were just like Noah's. Always high or drunk. They would always, continuously be in fights and that's why he would always randomly leave in our video chats. One time he said his father slapped him across the face because he walked in when they were fighting. But of course he had no idea what was going on at the time. He said he had only been nine. So, it was before he even met us, but still, the others had no idea. We all knew about Noah's life but he seemed fine with sharing. Jordan was very reserved and quiet. Quite like me. I placed a hand on his shoulder before heading up the stairs.
"It's okay, Jordan." I gave him a smile, and a quick tight squeeze before walking up the steps where the others were. He followed me and he directed us to his bedroom.
It was also a mess but it wasn't nearly as messy as the rest of the house.
"Sorry, you guys caught me in the middle of packing. I thought I wasn't supposed to leave until tonight at 8." He said playing off the sadness that was just there. How were people so good at that?
"Oh, yeah. Sorry I forgot to tell you. Change of plans you're just coming with us." Dad said.
"So when are we actually leaving?" Jordan asked leaning against the door frame.
"In three hours. Whatever time that would be from now." Dad said sitting down on the bed feeling it with his hand. A door slammed and Jordan flinched and said something in a complete different language that sounded like gibberish.
"Uhh-" Jordan started but dad cut him off.
"Oh great, Your parents are here." Dad stood up and walked over to the door.
"Sir-" Jordan started but dad shook him off and opened the door.
"Dad!" I yelled trying to help Jordan out. Plus I'm sure dad wouldn't to meet his parents.
"What is it, Paige?"
"How do you know they're even Jordan parents?"
"Oh, do you live with your grandparents or other guardian?" Jordan shook his head.
"No, I live with my parents. But, trust me, you really don't want to meet them." I saw Willow and Zoey give odd looks. But I wasn't about to explain anything to them. It was Jordan's job. If he ever even wanted to tell them. He should. Not me, I feel as if he told me because he trusted me. I didn't want to break that bond between us.
"Paige, Darling. I feel weird being in someone else's house without them knowing I'm here."
"But Dad-"
"Enough, Paige I'm going to talk to them. And that is the end of it." He said before leaving the room. I shot an apologetic glance at Jordan. He shrugged and looked towards the ground.
"Okay, what is going on here? Why don't you want Paige's dad to meet your parents, Jordan?" Willow asked leaning her elbow on his dresser, looking at her phone answering a quick text. "Well. They're.. I, uhh. I.... really don't wanna talk about it." Jordan stuttered out before sitting on his bed and pulling his legs to his chest, his arms around his legs and holding each other. Zoey sat next to Jordan and placed a loving hand on his shoulder.
"Jordan-"
"I'm fine. Alright." He scooted out of reach of Zoeys hand. "My life is fine." He mumbled under his breath.
"JORDAN GET DOWN HERE!" Somebody yelled from downstairs. I watched Jordan squeeze his eyes shut and get up to go downstairs to face his parents. After he left, Zoey turned to me.
"I have NEVER and I mean EVER seen Jordan get upset. You know something and I need to know what it is. It could be super serious." Zoey said sternly giving me a look that told me I should definitely tell her.
"I- uhh... can't." I said turning around not being able to take the constant staring of Zoey. Willow then walked over to me and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Paige. Tell us. It might be for his own good. Everyone's." She seemed convincing but I didn't want to ruin our friendship which would be exactly where me and Jordan would be if I told the girls how his home life is.
"I just can't. It's personal. I can't even believe he told me. You know how Jordan is."
"Yeah, personal. A lot of times stuff that is personal is bad." Zoey said standing up from the bed and coming over to my other side.
"Well, if you really must know. Go downstairs and you'll understand everything." Willow and Zoey exchanged glances and they walked to the door. Were they actually going to do this?
"Come on, Paige. You don't want to be in a boys room alone. Do you?" I uncrossed my arms and stomped towards them. They were right. I hated when they were right. We walked down the steps and saw Jordan and his mother yelling at each other in a foreign language. I saw dad standing there looking confused and terrified. I would be too. Being that close to a fight like that.
"What?" His mother said in english after gasping. "I forbid it." She said crossing his arms.
"You won't even know I'm gone! It's not like you even care about me. And if you do, you would actually be around more often!" Jordan yelled back in english.
"I am around all the time." Jordan scoffed and laughed sarcastically.
"Wow. Really? Then where were you the last twelve days? Huh? Cause I would really love to know the answer to that. I mean do you even know what dad does when you're not here? Wait. I'm sure you do because you don't give a crap. You don't care about anything. All you care about is making yourself feel good and most parents feel good when they're spending time with their children not shooting needles into themselves." His mother looked shocked. So, was I and I couldn't really see Zoey and Willows faces but I'm sure they were similar to mine and I know my dad was the most shocked. Jordan turned around not waiting for his mother to respond and walked out the door. Me and my father exchanged glances before both of us followed him outside.
