Introduction

A House, Like Love

Looks like the city is going to demolish my one of my favorite spots. We walked there once.

how could i forget?  sadly, we didn't sneak into, vandalize, and/or burn the franceschi house... but we did walk past the sunset golfer — that, we did do. enjoy it while you can.

You could save it.

so could a lot of people in santa barbara.  why don't you write an op-ed piece extolling its virtues for the local paper?

It would be so much more romantic if a mysterious stranger from out of town swoops in and saves it for the woman he loves. "I'm sorry I broke your heart. I can't fix it, but I can fix this old house."  Ok, fine you're right, your idea is much more realistic.

it sounds like you have a companion short story to go with your op-ed piece.  "fiction, non-fiction, she writes it all!" broken hearts and derelict donations...

This is the problem with my love life...it's always so much better in my head.

Hope you are well.

my love life has problems inside and outside my head.  at least you have your fantasies. i hope you're having fun in the water down there in beach-land.
