At the beginning of junior year I promised I would tell her how I felt but this was hard because I didn’t want to ruin our friendship, I wish I would have knew I was running out of time. Everyday after school Ashley would come over and we would study, watch a movies, etc.

 The week before the tragic event she wasn’t acting the same something was off but I didn’t know what, the day of the event she seemed really off, she wouldn’t even talk to me. Later that day she called me to say she “was sorry” and “didn’t mean to hurt my feelings” and that she wasn’t talking to me because she was “sick” and “didn’t feel well” I didn’t believe this of course. 

When I found out she had died and the police were ruling it as a suicide I freaked out. I mean there was no way my best friend would ever consider killing herself so I started investigating on my own terms, this is my case file for Ashley Vera’s death.
