When Jackoby and Onyx are separated from their group--which, in itself, separated from their base of operation in search of food and other essentials--and wind up in a dark and dirty basement, Onyx is nearly certain it's as bad as it can get. When you're terrified of the dark and there are desperate-for-flesh dead just up the stairs, Onyx figures, there aren't many other things that can go wrong.
When days pass and the two are too terrified to go out in search of help if they can find it, or some food scraps to keep them from catching their deaths in such a sad place, it's Jackoby who volunteers to go have a look. When he doesn't come...
