I am a writer of my genres, from sci-fi and fantasy, to comedy, and dystopian. I like to call it my genre speculative, since I don't like to write the same thing twice, and certainly not similar things twice. Dabbling in many areas of literature, I like to try out different effects or scenes that might be off genre typical.
Graduating from The University of Chester in 2016 with a Bachelor's in Creative Writing and English Literature. I have gone on to pursue further education and will be completing an Masters of Arts in Creative Writing and Publishing in 2017.
Born in North Wales, raised up around Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, I have never been far from the dystopian and dreary - I hope I'm not the factor. I have always had an interest in stories (I'd like to think we all do) reading wasn't something that came natural to me, and neither was writing. At nine years old, I learnt to touch type, a product of my mother's persistence - only later would I understand how beneficial it would become. I was thirteen when I first found a book that properly grabbed me by my eyeballs and pulled me in - that book being Golding's The Lord of the Flies - all books before then had often lost me at the beginning, or dropped me off midway through. It took me almost nine years to finish The Lord of the Rings since I was forever picking it up and putting it down.
After slaying Tolkien's behemoth, I pursued fantasy writing myself (I think there's something contagious in the pages). Sixteen years old I decided I wanted to write, I had a odd love for it and found a certain flair in my style, there was something engaging in creating a world in paper; I haven't looked back since.
I have certainly read more books in the past five years than I had in my first seventeen. I am still slow but I persist. I focus more on the production of work then the tasting of work; though I hope to balance both in my lifestyle.
That's enough from me. Please sample my stuff and enjoy.
