If Only🥀

Whenever walking the streets, or in the supermarket, wherever they may be, I always get Butterflies in stomach at the sight of youngsters with they're mothers, smiling and squeezing they're hands, as if they were scarred to let go.Its a side affect of being one-parented.Along with weekly nauseousness and when you feel blue, there's no more tears to shed.

If only we had enough money, she'd still be here, we'd still be peacefully living in our cosy cottage in the middle of a little town in Ireland, possibly devouring a ice cream whilst feelings the rough sand between our toes, or watching the sunset from our window, safe and warm.

I wouldn't be sweeping the floors of the only house my father could afford after he lost his job, a tiny one bedroom, tiny cottage in the poor side of London, doing practically nothing with my sad, quiet life.

Sad right? I know. Most almost-twenty-year olds would be enjoying them selfs, planning their future, having boyfriends, all the things I don't.

Although the poor side of London is right on the border of the country side, so now and then I get to have some fun.

It's a struggle all worth it.I tell my father I'm heading for a walk, fling on the only shoes that haven't got shoes on them, an slam the front door, which one accidentally broke it.Father always tells me I have to be back by eight thirty latest.

I check my watch that is fifteen minutes late, making what looks as if it's seven o'clock, actually six fifteen, giving me aproxmately half an hour to get to my destination.I sprint through the fields, then the puddles, for about twenty minutes, then i sprint across the bridge, then the fields again.

'Willow, you made it, finally'

'You know I wouldn't miss it for the world' I answer win confidence, because i wouldn't.

'You think I would? This is truly spectacular!' Noah chuckles as we lay down on the gigantic rock we meet at every few days,at the same time.I understand if your shocked.I didn't say I had no friends.I have Noah, my English trust-worthy, charming, cluts of a friend.

'Ok so don't take me crazy, but I was thinking yesterday, and it makes absaloute sense if you came and stayed with me and my family. We have 7 Bedrooms, and only three being used. You'd get a roof over your head, home made meals by our chef-'

'You were thinking about me?' I laugh. His checks instantly go a rosy-pink colour and he soon realises what he just said.

'Yes-but no! Uh?' He does this cute, nervous laugh he always does, it's his signature move when he's nervous.

'But still, consider it? For free.'

I look away.My father would be mortified if he thought I thought he was so poor he couldn't afford a home, even though it's very much true. He'd be one-hundred percent against it.

'You know my father,he takes pride in what he owns'

(Which is true)

'He can't just give up the house, as much as I'd love to,'

Noah does his disappointed face, but quickly smacks on a fake nuetral face.

'It's ok.But you know my familys fortune, just tell me if you need anything-'

'Oh look, it's starting!'
