Part One: Chapter One: Five Friends

"You have to leave now! Leave without me! All of your hard work.....it would have been for nothing!"

It was just the beginning of the lunch period, when students were finally allowed to disperse from the works of education to chitchat with friends, eat, or do whatever they pleased for about forty-five minutes. Though, Mai decided to take lunch as an opportunity to study vigorously for an upcoming test.

Mai Yamato's light rose colored skin shone in the light that was cast upon her, as she tilted her neck up and looked through the sky window with her dazzling light blue eyes. She looked around at the empty library then her eyes immediately became glued into her thick orange book that read 'S.A.T. Preparatory'. As the light began to get brighter on Mai's skin, her forehead became hot causing little drops of sweat to fall from her to her thick blue and silver-sleeved jacket that had 'Galaxy High' imprinted on the front. She turned around and stared at the black clock screwed onto the green wall behind her.

Mai gathered her materials, put them away neatly into her denim bag, and headed outside the library through the scanners. She skipped through the school, waving high to numerous people that she encountered. It was windy outside, so her black hair that had blue streaks flew behind her back. She arrived at a baby blue painted building that read 'Dormitory B3' on the wall. She walked inside and saw girls running around giggling. She squeezed passed the girls and went into a room with '203' written on it.

Mai had a room to herself in the dorm. She had a cushiony bed with a rose blanket on it. She quickly took off her blue Converse shoes, so that she wouldn't make her brown carpet dirty. She ran over to a brown desk, opened a drawer, and pulled out a blank white piece of paper and a brown wooden pencil and began writing across the blank paper. She took off her sweater and hung it over the back of her desk's chair, now she was wearing a long sleeved baby blue jersey bardot shirt.

As soon as she began writing her information on the blank paper the bell rang a screeching nose and Mai gathered her materials and put then away nearly into her denim bag. She walked out of the dormitory and walked across the school campus into another large building. She walked up hallow staircases, skipping every other step, into the second floor hallway.

The school had blue painted walls with silver lockers aligned nearly in a row. The doors were silver and the floor was a silver marble color. Students walked by wearing whatever they felt free to wear, and there were some who wore blue and silver collared shirts or jackets that had 'Galaxy High' printed on them. Mai began to shiver as she rubbed her arm with her hand. She then remembered that she left her jacket on her room back at the dormitory.

As Mai stood in the hallway in the second floor of the building, she felt alone. Until a game freak, but rather good friend, approached her, shuffling side-to-side hopping like a child on his feet.

"Ay, wuddup, Mai? Ready for the S.A.T.s?" the young seventeen-year-old boy asked Mai, with his black thin eyebrows narrowed down as he stared straight into Mai's aquatic blue eyes with his dark red groggy eyes. He was slightly taller so he looked down on her. Either his eyes were really red from staying up all night playing video games or he decided to buy red contacts to increase the flame in his eyes.

"Mister Leon Takarii. You've got yourself a hair cut! I kind of feel bad because you always wanted to color your black spiky hair to a more flaming red color. You were only able to keep your spiky red hair for about two weeks because you had to shave it down for R.O.T.C." Mai commented. "At least it's still red though."

His Jansport backpack hung loose at the side of his thigh because one of the straps had ripped off, from him chewing the strap when he was bored in class. The sun reflected off of his skin, being pretty light for an Asian. He wore light blue jeans, a baggy red sweater, and his shoes has a big red Nike sign across them, indicating the vast amount of money he spent on his shoes. Leon looked into Mai's aquatic eyes with his red eyes showing that he was waiting for an answer from his first question. His lips were pushed out forward and he exhaled air out of his nose.

Mai let out a loose breath from her smiling lips. "Of course! I just spent my lunch period studying a tad bit longer in the library. I bet you haven't even studied one bit, Leon. Probably role playing all day, I assume." Mai wondered as she swooshed her black hair with blue streaks behind her back. She nibbled the tip of her crystal-blue painted fingernail and rubbed the excess tiny drips of saliva on her blue long sleeved shirt. Her long light blue pants were tight against her waist as she scuffled to move around a bit to approach Leon.

"Aw nah! I actually studied, man! I want to get into a good college, y'know?" Leon responded, jumping happily in his red shoes. "I'm going to become the bestest graphic designer, ya heard? Create the best video games ever, y'know?" Leon's use of vocabulary was very inappropriate for a student of the school, but he excelled drastically in computer programming.

A fifteen-year-old girl approached Leon from behind Mai. Her skin shone in the light, being the same color as Mai's. Her green blouse matched her hazel eye color and her dazzling blue skirt shifted from side-to-side with each step she took. "Ay girl! Looks like ya decided to get green streaks in ya brown hair, instead of purple ones, Trisha. That's hot! Green's considered the horny color nowadays." Leon managed to squeeze between Trisha and Mai.

"Leon, reading the instruction manuals to video games aren't going to get you anywhere in life, especially into a good college." Trisha said rejecting the hi-five Leon offered.

Trisha Bonafacchio would be considered the annoying brat in the group. She was a real "beauty queen" who always focused on the way she looked rather than on her education. The other students at Galaxy High considered her to be one of the girls who were miraculously accepted into the magnet program. The young girl took out her Sephora make-up kit and carefully picked out a green pencil and started to apply the green eyeliner along her eyes, making sure to curve the color evenly. The green color was bright, the same color of a sliced kiwi.

"You're not taking the S.A.T.s are ya? A city college is fine for you, right? I mean, you're trying to become a cosmo somefin, right?" Leon asked running his rough hand through Trisha's green streaks in her long brown hair.

"It's called cosmetology, Leon. Anyone with a sense of knowledge would know that!" Trisha responded conceitedly taking out a pink comb and brushing out the tiny tangles in her long hair. "And if you didn't know, green is the style nowadays. If any immature boy is to call green a horny color, then obviously he doesn't understand what goes on in the fashion industry." Trisha's face bore a conceited look as she fluttered her eyelashes at Leon making him squint his eyes at her annoying sense of humor. Mai looked at Leon's black bag and saw the flap of of a white manual hanging out.

"Say, Leon, what instruction manual do you have in your bag, this time? Is is another role-playing one? Or a fighting one this time? God, Leon you carry so many different manuals that I don't even know what you have now." Mai demanded pulling out the instruction manual out to a video game out of Leon's black bag that read 'Nomad's Frontier' on the cover.

Mai looked through the booklet and saw the playable characters in the game, different items you could use, a world map and all sorts of technological features that didn't interest her. She placed the manual carefully back into Leon's black backpack making sure not to fold back any of the pages and zipped it back up. She aggressively pulled out her S.A.T. Prep book form her denim bag and began rustling through the pages tracing her finger along the Table of Contents.

"Oh you guys. Good luck on your S.A.T.s, okay? They-." Mai said when she was cut off, when a very young and short boy bumped into Mai knocking her book out of her hand and herself onto the floor. The little boy took one step closer to Mai.

"I'm sorry, Mai. I didn't see you there." He said holding out his soft and pudgy hand out to Mai so that she could use it to stand up. He looked into Mai's eyes with his almond-shaped brown eyes. Mai shuffled to gather her stuff together on her knees and took a breath as she slapped the boy's hand away and stood up on her own. The boy was twelve years old, and he was not only the youngest in the group but the youngest boy in the entire school. He was about eight inches shorted than Mai standing at 4'6".

"Ooooo Kyle, man, you just got rejected!" Leon laughed as he nudged Kyle in his shoulder. Of the four, Kyle Pomello was the smartest, because he studied abroad and in different countries. He had short wavy hair that was creased back with strong gel. He wore a small-sized dark chocolate brown shirt and faded blue jeans that were a bit big for him, considering they covered most of his dark brown laceless Vans. He was a hint shade darker than Mai, Trisha, and Leon. Mai stood up on her baby blue Converse shoes and a boy about the age of eighteen began to walk towards the four friends.

"I would've helped her up," He said as he was walking up to the side of Trisha. His dark brown eyes met Mai's eyes, that were all over him. Trisha, Leon, and Kyle began giggling to themselves as a sign the Mai and Vijay have some chemistry with each other. Vijay Caldera had black spiky hair that was neatly done and wore a black jacket that matched well with his dark blue jeans. They were a bit baggy but they fit perfectly, revealing each strand of his black shoelaces on his leather shoes.

"Hi, Vijay. Are you ready for the S.A.T.s?" Mai asked Vijay with her face looking straight at the ground. Kyle, Trisha, and Leon began to giggle once again, under their breath, while Mai and Vijay looked at each other in the eye. Mai's eyes blinked twice and her head tilted indicating that she was waiting for an answer.

"Don't sweat it Mai," Vijay said putting his arm around Mai, making her jump a little, "The S.A.T.s aren't until tomorrow. So how about we all chill, for the day, after sixth period? We can all go eat out somewhere and get some ice cream at that one store across the park," Vijay told his group of friends as his eyes shifted from Mai to the other three. Trisha pushed Mai out of the way, breaking her free of Vijay's arm as she walked forward.

"That'd be nice," Trisha responded applying her red lipstick. The bell then rang once again and sounds of students chattering hurt Mai's ears as she pressed the palm of her hands against her ears. The other fellow students began walking quickly to their classes, leaving the five friend alone in the hallway. They all walked in unison as they headed towards their next class, which only took six steps to reach. They entered the room which read 'English AP ACC' in black ink printed in Times New Roman front on a white poster paper on the front door. The teacher's name read "Miss Stern" underneath the class type.

Part One: Chapter Two: The Transfer Student

As the students entered the classroom, they walked to their seats having side conversations with one another. The students were squeezing through the door and were bumping into each other inside, considering the tight space in the small classroom. Trisha, Kyle, Mai, Vijay, and Leon all went to one corner and say side-by-side with each other. Miss Stern must have made a mistake this semester to seat them all together unknowingly that they were all good friends.
The classroom had four rows of black desks and three columns. Two chairs were at each desk, making twenty-four seats in total. Mai and Vijay sat together in the furthest row in the second column, making them in the middle. In front of them, Leon sat down with Kyle. Kyle took out a medical Terminology textbook and set it onto the chair, because he was very short.
One desk over from Mai and Vijay, to the right, sat Trisha alone. She had a brown empty chair next to her. Before she sat, she dug into the back pocket of her skirt and pulled out a green silky handkerchief that she used to wipe down the chairs and the desk. In the empty seat, she set her Coach purse and all of her belongings to Victoria's Secret, Sephora, and other brands name products. The bell rang and the students in the classroom remained talking to each other very loudly. Miss Stern grabbed a yardstick that was leaning on the wall next to the door and walked up to the white board. She slammed the yardstick on the floor to gain the attention of the entire class.
"Settle down, class, settle down!" The scrawny female teacher yelled as she walked over to the door slamming it shut. She looked to be a very bitter old woman in her late sixties, and surprisingly, not retired. "Once the bell rings that is your cue to be silent! Not another word from any of you. Especially you five wretched kids!" The teacher's eyes looked straight into the back corner where Trisha, Kyle, Mai, Vijay, and Leon were sitting.
Miss Stern walked to the opposite side from where the entrance door was to where the windows were located. She pulled down the string and the metallic blinds flew up letting blinding sunlight to enter the class. Her back was facing the desks, and Leon quickly turned around to say something to Mai and Vijay.
"Geez....what a BITCH!" Leon whispered loudly, hoping that the teacher would hear. As Miss Stern approached Leon, there was a knocking at the same door that Miss Stern slammed close. Miss Stern stood in between the aisles of the desks not knowing if she should take the time to yell at Leon or answer the door. There were a few more knocks on the door and Miss Stern turned to go answer the door.
An Asian, tall, dark and handsome boy with black spiky hair and bleach streaks entered the room. He wore a black jacket that spread a few purple and red thread linings across his jacket. A black leather bag was strapped secure on his back. He wore dark pants, and had a very evil look to his face. Though, Trisha found him appealing as she looked straight into the boy's dark black eyes. His eyes were the color of midnight darkness and Trisha couldn't help but adore the way he looked.
"Oh, who is that? He is so gorgeous!" Trisha mouthed taking out her blue mirror to make sure her face was clean. She applied a few more finishing touches of make-up onto her face and removed her things from the seat next to her, considering it was the only available seat in the entire classroom. Kyle leaned over from his seat towards Trisha and slid a little off the side because the book he sat on was light and slipping off the chair.
"That's Johnny. He's a transfer student here. Today's his first day at Galaxy High," Kyle whispered. "Leon and I saw him earlier in my Advanced Calculus class. He has a ton of girls all over him, so be prepared for some competition, Trisha." Angrily, Trisha took out her roughly sharpened black eyeliner from her Coach purse and threw it at Kyle's head. The tip of the pencil hit his face and left a small black smudge on his cheek. Kyle snickered as he turned around and tried to wipe the smudge off of his face, only causing it to smear.
"Better give that back to me after class!" Trisha mouthed as she put the rest of her beauty products away in her purse. Surprisingly, her ton of mascara and other types of beauty products fit into her tiny purse. As Miss Stern continued to talk to the boy who entered the classroom, Leon quickly got up and crouched next to Trisha.
"Looks like granny's sitting that dude next to you. Better not do any hanky panky!" Leon laughed as he nudged Trisha in the shoulder and quickly crawled back to his seat before Miss Stern could catch him and Trisha could smack him upside the head. Mai and Vijay remained quiet throughout the whole commotion between Trisha, Leon, and Kyle. Mai looked up from her desk and at the tall boy that Miss Stern was talking to.
Wow.....He's cute.....But my heart's all for Vijay." Mai thought to herself. Miss Stern then caked for the class's attention.
"Class this is Johnny Xa. He's a transfer student from Japan, from where he studied abroad. I expect that you kids can learn a lot from him considering you all don't understand a thing about knowledge!" Miss Stern scream at her class, banging her scrawny fist in her desk in anger as a cue to quiet down. The class quieted down and Leon threw Miss Stern a very dirty look. "You can take a seat there Johnny," Miss Stern said, pointing at the seat next to Trisha.
Trisha gasped in excitement as the boy approached the seat next to her. When Johnny turned around to remove his backpack before he sat down, Trisha quickly sprayed Britney Spears' Fantasy perfume onto her neck and wrists. She rubbed it around her body and pulled some of her hair in front of her sniffing it to make sure it smelled good. Trisha's four friends laughed to themselves quietly and looked straight ahead as Miss Stern began to explain what was on the agenda for the day.
"Hahah....That might make Trisha's stress a little less," Vijay whispered into Mai's left ear. Mai turned to her left to face Vijay, and their faces were so close together they could feel each other breathing on one another. Mai blushed and quickly looked away so that Vijay wouldn't see her puffy red glowing cheeks.
"Dude, that guy's got game already," Leon whispered to Vijay as he leaned back on his seat. The four friends looked over to where Trisha was sitting and saw her casually talking to Johnny. Trisha's version of casual included flaring her long luscious eyebrows and different types of flirting styles. She crossed her legs and leaned back in her chair trying to reveal her Gucci panties as she crossed her legs. She would pucker her lips, smile like a new born baby, and give Johnny a tiny push hoping that it would lead him on.
"Geez, will Trisha ever settle for one decent guy?" Vijay said under his breath and turned to the side as he stared at Mai. Surprised, Mai quickly looked away every time Vijay looked at her directly. Miss Stern began to write sentences on the whiteboard with the same orange marker she had always used throughout the year. While her back was facing the class, the five friends began to break into quiet discussions.
"So, Johnny. You come from Japan, huh? I heard a lot about that place. Very beautiful, isn't it? Don't you think it'd be suited for a girl like me?" Trisha asked giggling to herself and tucking a green strand of her hair behind her ear. Mai looked at Trisha disapprovingly as an ugly comment for trying to lead him on.
"Uhh, sure," Johnny responded with an annoyed look. Trisha gasped in excitement and giggled loudly, which made the other students turn around to see what was going on. Johnny turned away from Trisha and she pulled him back.
"So....You meet any pretty girls, since you've been here in America?" Trisha asked puckering her lips. All Kyle and Leon could do was die of silent laughter at how Trisha was flirting with Johnny. Mai expected nothing more or less, but was shocked at what Johnny's response was.
"No. None at all. The girls here are stuck up and too into themselves. None of them know when to shut up," Johnny said emphasizing on the last of his words and looking straight into Trisha's eyes as if he intended to hurt her. Trisha looked very hurt and she turned the other way.
Leon's blazing eyes looked angry as if he wanted to stand right up and beat Johnny. He was about to stand up, but Miss Stern turned around and began talking about different different sentence structures, and as always no one payed attention except for Mai. The class quieted down and she began to write notes on the board for everyone to copy, and of the five friends, only Mai scuffled to look for her notebook to copy down what Miss Stern was about to write. Vijay laid his head down on the desk and Mai tried to copy down the notes Miss Stern was writing, but was distracted by the conversation that Kyle and Leon were having in front of her.
"I don't like that guy," Kyle whispered to Leon. "There's something about him that's very odd. I'm not sure what it is, but I just really don't like him," Kyle kept looking back at Johnny to make sure he wasn't paying attention to what he was saying. Johnny continuously looked through his backpack. He took out a rolled up beige paper then stuck it back into his backpack immediately and looked side-to-side to make sure that nobody was paying attention to what he was doing.
"I bet he's some evil demon from Japan deep down, posing as a human. And he got banished from his family or something, that's why he's living in America now," Leon whispered pretty loudly to where Mai and Vijay could hear him. Mai set down her wooden pencil and leaned over her chair to whisper into Leon's ear.
"Leon! Don't be so stupid! We're not in a video game or some foreign anime cartoon that you watch!" Mai whispered loudly enough for Vijay to hear what she was saying. Miss Stern turned around, and everybody looked down so that she wouldn't start screaming about copying down the rest of the notes she wrote. Vijay reached his hand out and touched Mai's. It completely distracted Mai as her eyes grew big while she stared at Vijay's hand touching hers and she began to blink a lot.
"C'mon, Mai. Leon's our age, but he has the heart of a kid. Let him fantasize about what he loves," Vijay said to Mai grabbing her arm and making her jump up a little bit. She also felt embarrassed that she was acting more mature than her four other friends in the classroom. Mai quickly pulled back from Vijay's arm and her ears focused on the conversation Kyle and Leon had in front of her.
"It's like he's got this dark aura circling him. I don't know, maybe it's just me or the way he hurt Trisha's feelings that's making me not like him," Kyle whispered to Leon.
Leon started tapping his led pencil on the desk impatiently as his eyes focused on the clock waiting for it to hit 2:45, where they can all leave and go eat at a restaurant and get ice cream across the park, like Vijay had said earlier. Mai turned to the side of her and her eyes widened. She saw a black shadow rising from behind Johnny. It wasn't the shadow of his body, but a dark shadow that looked like pure evil and gave off a mysterious black glow.
Mai rubbed her eyes a bit to make sure she was seeing correctly and she saw the same exact thing. Mai turned to see if Vijay could see what she saw, but his head was rested on the table. Mai continued to look at Johnny and then she started to fall into a trance of thought. She questioned herself of whether it was her imagination or if there really was a dark aura around Johnny Xa.
"Kyle's right! It does look like he has a dark aura circling around him. It doesn't even make him look human," Mai thought to herself. At the moment Mai's thoughts ended, she heard a voice in her head.
"Pathetic people. When I carry out my plan, I can once again encounter Lord Angelo. I will be almighty, just the way it should be. I'll make you proud, father," the voice said. Mai scratched her head in frustration of who it was. As soon as the voice ended, Johnny stood up and looked Mai straight in the eye. Trisha looked up at Johnny in confusion and it scared Mai as she scooted away and the screeches of the legs on the floor sounded like screaming cats.
"Who gave you the right to enter my mind?! How can you see something that regular people can't see?!" Johnny yelled angrily and glared with his pitch black eyes into Mai's blue eyes.
He clenched his fist and it began to shake with anger. His dark eyebrows narrowed down as his eyes squinted and his gleaming white teeth grinned. Mai was shocked after what Johnny said. Mai began to breathe in and out in fear and she tried to look away, but something strong was keeping her from doing so. She closed her eyes and wondered what was going on. Could she have read his mind? Or could he have read hers?

Part One: Chapter Three: Big Commotion

bhat happened between Mai and Johnny began to cause a disruption in the classroom. The students turned around in their chair to watch what was happening and Miss Stern's face looked angry as she walked over to grab the phone off the wall.
"Ay! Leave Mai alone! She didn't do anything to you!" Leon shouted as he got out of his chair causing it to fall behind him. "Besides I'm the one that said you've got a whole voodoo dark bullshit  on you. Just take it easy, man," Leon alleged patting Johnny on the shoulder. Johnny jabbed the index an middle  finger on his left hand into a pressure point on Leon's arm. A striking pain from where Johnny jabbed Leon in the arm and traveled up his arm and through his body, as he fell down screaming in agony. The whole class screamed and gasped at what began to happen in the back of the classroom.
"Oh my GOD! What'd you do!? Leon!!" Mai screamed as she got up and ran to Leon on the floor. She kneel down and picked up Leon's head and rested it on her lap. "Leon, are you okay? I'm so sorry, Leon," Mai was worried, and with all the other student's eyes on her it didn't matter. Her friend was hurt and she felt responsible because all Leon was trying to do was stick up for her.
"Return to your seats now or I will have the counselors come here and ensure that none of you make it into college!" Miss Stern screamed at the class. At that moment, Johnny snapped  his fingers and Miss Stern's eyes became dilated as she fell straight to the ground in pain grabbing her heart. Miss Stern began to shake and howl in pain as her grip on her heart began to get tighter and her yellow fingernails dug into her shirt. Her eyes rolled back and her hand fell softly off of her. Some students screamed as they shot out of their seats to see if Miss Stern was still alive.
Trisha panicked as she backed away from her seat, almost falling out of her chair. The students, scared from what was occurring, shot out of their seats and fled in horror from the sight of Miss Stern dying on the floor and the commotion that was happening at the back of the classroom with Johnny. They stormed out of the classroom very messily as if the room were on fire. Johnny once again began to glow with a black aura around him and Kyle stood up from his seat looking straight up at Johnny. Kyle was shaking in anger as he clenched his fist. Johnny was a lot taller than Kyle so he tilted his head to be able to look straight into Johnny's eyes.
"I don't know what your problem is, but...Go back to Japan where you came from!!" the little boy yelled at Johnny as he tackled him down to the ground. The moment Johnny hit the ground, a small CD rolled out of his pocket and straight to Trisha. Only Mai and Trisha saw the CD roll out, but Trisha quickly darted for the CD and placed it safely into her bag. Mai screamed as she saw Kyle jump onto Johnny again, while he was lying on the floor. Mai didn't want to engage in the fight, so she just screamed to Kyle.
"Kyle!! Don't hurt him! He doesn't know what he's doing!" Mai moved Leon's head off of her lap and stood up and tried to pull Kyle off of Johnny. Vijay stood up and ran towards the aisle where Mai, Kyle, Leon, and Johnny were. He keeled down by Leon to make sure he was okay. Trisha still scared, was pushing her back up against the wall, trying to back away as far as she could from Johnny. Johnny then pushed Kyle off of him with a fierce shove.
He looked at Kyle and began to get onto his two feet. Leon, Kyle, Mai, and Vijay didn't notice that Johnny had gotten back up because everyone's back was to him. Johnny began to lift his left hand, when Trisha screamed to her four friends causing Johnny to turn his head around. Trisha ran and jumped onto Johnny's back before his hand could reach shoulder height. Trisha wrapped her arms around Johnny's back and gnawed him in the shoulder. Johnny howled in pain, as Trisha sank her teeth into Johnny's skin. She immediately pulled back with wet saliva still dripping from her mouth as she yelled to her friends.
"You guys, run!! Get out before Johnny hurts you guys too!!" Trisha screamed as she wrapped her whole body around Johnny so that he couldn't move. Johnny then freed his left hand and snapped his fingers, which sent Trisha flying off his back and into the wall behind her. A loud thump echoed throughout the room, as Trisha fell down to the floor.
"No way...." Mai thought to herself. If her vision was correct, with the snap of his fingers Johnny was able to send Trisha flying across the room, as if he had telekinetic powers. If she remembered correctly, he caused Miss Stern to have a heart attack with the snap of his fingers as well. Kyle freed himself from Mai's grip and ran to Johnny to try and tackle him down again. "Kyle! No!" Mai screamed. Before Kyle could reach Johnny, he snapped his fingers and it sent both Mai and Kyle flying to the other side of the room.
Kyle hit the wall first, and then Mai, causing Mai to land on top of Kyle's body. Vijay stood up from where he was sitting by Leon and punched Johnny in the face. Vijay kept Johnny's hands together so he wouldn't be able to snap his fingers again. Vijay pushed Johnny through the desks causing them to fall over as he got him close to the window. Johnny then broke free. Mai panicked and closed her eyes, scared that Vijay was next to be sent flying across the room into the wall.
"Vijay stop! We have to get out of here!" Mai screamed to Vijay in pain with her eyes shut. Johnny snapped his fingers again, but nothing happened to Vijay. Vijay then gave Johnny a powerful shove out the window causing the glass shards to fly from the window into the classroom floor and a few pieces falling out of the window. A loud thump echoed throughout the now empty classroom with only the five friends and Miss Stern's body in it.
Leon was finally able to sit up and Trisha got up on her knees bushing off the dust that attached to her when she hit the wall. Mai and Kyle also stood up from the opposite side of the room, and they all ran to window where Vijay was standing. Vijay was breathing in and out heavily as he looked at his hands. The four friends had their eyes glued onto Vijay, and Mai quickly ran to look out the window. She looked around and up and down from where she stood and onto the ground. She saw students rushing out the school. She saw the streets getting crowded with students, but the one thing she was hoping to find, she didn't see. Mai covered her mouth to keep herself from wailing loudly.
"He's gone! Johnny! He's gone!" Mai screamed as she turned to her friends.
